As the kids head back towards Floatia, they were talking about Gaomon Digivolving.
"Man, Gaogamon looked so cool!" said Zach.
"I wonder what the rest of our Digimon will look like when they Digivolve?" asked Rusty.
"Will they be as strong as GeoGreymon and Gaogamon?" asked Stella.
"We'll have to wait and find out." said Lincoln. As they got close to Floatia, they see a small Digimon with a long, stout body, with the upper half being orange and the bottom half being cream-colored; as well as having what appeared to be a pair of bat wings coming out of the top of its head, blocking the road leading there.
"Hold it right there!" said the Digimon. "Wait a minute! Are you humans?!"
"Yeah." said Lincoln.
"What's that Digimon?" asked Rusty. Clyde takes out his Digivice and points it at the Digimon.
"That Digimon is called a Patamon; Rookie Level, Mammal Type, Data Attribute. His special attack is Boom Bubble." said Clyde. When he looks back at it, he, along with the other boys, sweatdrop when they see Stella cuddling it.
"Oh, you're so cute!" said Stella as she hugs the Patamon as it struggles to get out of her grip.
"Unhand me, human!" said the Patamon. A minute later, Stella lets it go. Patamon then stares at the kids and their Digimon. "I will not let you invaders do any harm to Floatia."
"We're not going to do anything bad to that village." said Clyde.
"Liar!" said the Patamon. "I will protect Floatia with all my might!"
"No offense, but you don't look like much of a fighter." said Rusty, resulting in Stella elbowing his ribs.
"Don't hurt its feelings." said Stella with a frown.
"If you want to protect Floatia; what are you doing outside it?" asked Zach, making Patamon look away with embarrassment.
"I'm...stopping invaders such as you from setting foot in the village." said Patamon.
"Really?" asked Zach with a raised eyebrow.
"What's going on here?" Jijimon's calls out from behind Patamon. The kids, their Digimon, and the Patamon look to see Jijimon approaching them.
"Jijimon! Watch out for these invaders!" said Patamon. Jijimon looks over at the kids and their Digimon.
"Those aren't invaders, Patamon." said Jijimon, surprising Patamon.
"Really?" replied Patamon.
"Yes." said Jijimon. "In fact, they defeated the Goblimon that have troubled Floatia for the last two weeks and destroyed Ogremon." Patamon was surprised by what he just heard.
"They beat Ogremon?!" asked Patamon.
"Indeed." said Jijimon. "So, our village is safe once again."
"That's good to hear." said Patamon. He then looks back at the kids. "I'm sorry I accused you of being invaders."
"No harm done." said Lincoln. The kids and the Digimon all then head back to the village. Once there, the kids look around for Wormmon and soon find him near Jijimon's home.
"Hi, everyone." said Wormmon when he sees the kids and their Digimon.
"Hi, Wormmon." said Clyde. "We're glad to see you're okay."
"Thank you." said Wormmon. "Did you all find some sticks to make fishing rods with?"
"You bet." said Lincoln as he and his friends pull out the sticks they found.
"Good." said Wormmon, who then proceeds to fire strands of string from his mouth at the ends of the sticks, making fishing line from it. After that, Jijimon takes some needles he had lying around and bends them into fishing hooks; the kids attach them to the other ends of the thread, and they were all set.
"Thanks, Wormmon and Jijimon." said Liam.
"It's the least we can do after what you all did for us." said Wormmon.
"What should we use as bait?" asked Clyde. Tanemon walks over to them while carrying a piece of freshly harvested meat on her head.
"Maybe you could use bits of this?" suggested Tanemon.
"Wouldn't hurt to try." said Liam as he grabs the meat off Tanemon's head.
"Now that we're all set; let's go fishing." said Lincoln. The kids and their Digimon exit the village and head for the river they checked out a few hours ago.
"I'll bet I catch the biggest fish." said Rusty.
"In your dreams, Rusty." said Zach.
"Gramps has given me some pointers so I think I'll do just fine." said Lincoln. The kids soon reach the river and start getting their fishing rods ready.
"What should we do with any fish we catch?" asked Rusty.
"Probably cook it up for dinner." said Zach.
"I guess." said Rusty. After the group puts bits of meat on their hooks, they cast them into the water and waited.
"Hey, I got something!" said Clyde as he felt something pulling on his line.
"Pull it out!" said Rusty. But when Clyde did so, the tugging suddenly stops and all he sees on the end of his line was an empty hook.
"I thought you said you caught something." said Stella.
"I did, I promise!" said Clyde.
"Maybe it just got away?" suggested Lincoln.
"You're probably right." said Clyde.
"I'm certain you'll catch another one soon." said Zach.
"Let's keep trying then." said Lincoln. The group continue to fish for ten minutes, but every time one of them thinks they caught something, they pull out completely empty hooks. They were really starting to get frustrated.
"What is going on here?" asked Rusty.
"Are the fish here that tough to catch?" asked Zach.
"I'm going to try to pull my line out immediately after I feel a bite as quickly as possible before the fish can respond." said Lincoln.
"Sounds like a good idea to me." said Stella. Lincoln waits a few seconds and feels a tug on his line. He does as planned and pulls the line out to see a decent-sized trout on the end of it.
"I got it!" said Lincoln. All of a sudden, a large fishlike Digimon with a metallic-looking body, as well as forearms with large talons on the end of them, leaps out of the water and bites down on the fish at the end of Lincoln's line.
"What kind of fish is that?!" asked Rusty.
"Is it a Digimon?" asked Liam.
"I don't know, but it's not getting my fish!" said Lincoln as he, along with Clyde, Rusty, Zach, and Liam all help Lincoln pull on his fishing rod while Stella uses her Digivice to see what the Digimon was while it was still above water.
"It's Coelamon. It's a Champion Level, Ancient Fish Type, Data Attribute Digimon. Its special attack is Fossil Bite." said Stella.
"Everyone pull at the same time." said Lincoln. The boys all do so, making the Coelamon fly out of the water and onto dry land.
"What do you brats think you're doing?" asked the Coelamon.
"What do you think you're doing eating the fish that WE caught?" asked Lincoln.
"What can I say? Fish are easier for me to eat while they're caught." said the Coelamon in a smug tone of voice.
"By someone else?!" asked Rusty.
"Exactly." said Coelamon.
"Well, we caught those fish fair and square!" said Zach.
"You had no right to just take them from us." said Clyde.
"How about I trade those fish for this?!" said Coelamon. It then flops into the water and starts swimming quickly through the water, making a tsunami appear and heads towards the group.
"Watch out!" said Zach as he and the others run up onto a large nearby rock to avoid the wave.
"How did you like that, humans?" asked Coelamon.
"Pepper Breath!" said Agumon as he launches a fireball out of his mouth at Coelamon; but it goes under the water and the fireball is extinguished before it could hit.
"You'll have to better than that!" said Coelamon.
"Rock Fist!" said Gotsumon as he launches rocks out of his head.
"Holy Shot!" said Kudamon as he fires a beam of light from his mouth.
"Nuts Gun!" said Lalamon as she shoots seeds from her mouth. The Coelamon dives back into the water to avoid the attacks.
"What are we gonna do?" asked Zach.
"We can't hit it while he's in the water." said Clyde.
"Wait; water conducts electricity, right?" asked Lincoln.
"I know what you're thinkin' Lincoln." said Rusty. "Elecmon, zap the water!"
"Super Thunder Strike!" said Elecmon as he releases jolts of electricity into the water, which causes it to become electrified, zapping the Coelamon.
"AUUUUGGGGHHHHH!" screams the Coelamon as electricity surges through its body.
"How did you like THAT, you ugly overgrown tuna?" asked Rusty.
"Why you..." said Coelamon as it jumps out of the water and comes down with its talons pointing towards Elecmon. "Fossil Bite!" It slashes at Elecmon, sending it flying into a large rock.
"Elecmon!" said Rusty.
"Water Wave!" said Coelamon as it makes another tsunami which covers the area, sending the kids' Digimon down river.
"Guys!" shouts Lincoln. Most of the kids' Digimon manage to make it onto dry land, but Rusty sees that Elecmon was unconscious, barely staying afloat.
"Elecmon, hang on!" shouts Rusty as he dives into the water and swims after Elecmon.
"Rusty, what are you doing?" asked Clyde.
"I'm saving Elecmon!" said Rusty.
"But who's gonna save you, human?" asked Coelamon as it swims towards him. Rusty was able to catch up to Elecmon and wrap one of his arms around him; he uses his free arm to swim to a small patch of land in the middle of the river. He lifts Elecmon onto it and climbs onto it himself. Rusty begins gently shaking Elecmon.
"Wake up, pal!" said Rusty. Elecmon slowly begins to regain consciousness.
"Rusty? What happened?" asked Elecmon. Before Rusty can answer, Coelamon jumps up from the river and down towards Rusty.
"You're fish food, human!" exclaimed Coelamon with his arms out towards Rusty. As Rusty shielded himself with his arms, Elecmon jumps to his feet and glares at Coelamon. Rusty's Digivice begins to shine brightly. He looks at it and sees a button glowing; he pushes it, and Elecmon begins to glow brightly and spin.
"Elecmon, Digivolve to..." said Elecmon. When the glowing stopped, Elecmon now resembled a bipedal muscular lion with orange fur and a yellow mane, wearing black pants with a black belt around his waist and black belts around his left arm and had a sword in the back of his belt. "...Leomon!"
"Whoa." said Rusty as he looks at his Digivolved Elecmon in awe, as well as Lincoln and the others. Rusty then points his Digivice at the Digivolved Elecmon. "Leomon, Champion Level, Animal Type, Vaccine Attribute; special attack, Fist of the Beast King." He looks at Leomon. "Wild mane, awesome physique, just like me." The others rolled their eyes in response. Leomon looks at Coelamon who was nearing them.
"Smashing Kick!" said Leomon. He jumps up and spins around, kicking Coelamon away and he falls into the river. Leomon went into a defensive position, preparing for Coelamon. It suddenly jumps out of the river.
"Fossil Bite!" said Coelamon, coming down towards Leomon, baring its fangs.
"Lion Sword!" said Leomon, unsheathing his sword and slashing Coelamon across its face. Coelamon falls past Rusty and Leomon and onto the land they were on. Coelamon begins to crawl towards the water.
"When I get back in the water, I'll rip you two apart!" exclaimed Coelamon.
"Then I better end this now." said Leomon as he sheathes his sword and pulls back a fist. "Fist of the Beast King!" Leomon throws a fist forward and launches an orange aura that resembled a lion's head out of his fist, and it blasts Coelamon to pieces. Rusty looks at Leomon in awe.
"You are so cool!" said Rusty. Leomon folds his arms across his chest and nods in response before he begins to glow and turns back into Elecmon. The kids cheer for Rusty's victory as the water starts to recede back into the river, allowing them and their Digimon to get back down to the ground. Rusty and Elecmon head over to where their friends were waiting.
"Are you okay, Rusty?" asked Stella. Rusty looks at his soaking clothes.
"Nothing a day of hanging my clothes out to dry won't fix." said Rusty.
"Leomon was so cool!" said Clyde.
"What did you expect?" asked Rusty. "He Digivolved from the Digimon that came out of me." The others rolled their eyes in response. As they look around at the wet ground, they see a lot of fish flopping around.
"Look at them all." said Lincoln.
"Start gathering them up." said Liam. The kids collect all the fish they could carry, while putting the remaining ones back into the water. Once that was done, they all head back to Floatia.
Later in Jijimon's house, the kids were wearing robes that Jijimon provided them with while their clothes were drying out.
"You kids sure had an eventful outing today, didn't you?" said Jijimon.
"At least it worked out." said Lincoln. They all then roasted up the fish they brought back and dined on it. Soon, the sun was starting to go down and the kids were getting ready for bed. As Clyde readies his sleeping mat, he sees Lincoln writing something in a large book.
"What are you doing, Lincoln?" asked Clyde. He looks at the book and sees that Lincoln wrote what happened today, along with some detailed drawings of Coelamon and Leomon.
"I got this and these pencils from Jijimon." said Lincoln. "I'm making a journal of our adventures here to bring back to our world if we manage to find a way to do so." The kids and their Digimon all gather behind him.
"That sounds cool." said Zach.
"Too bad our phones got wrecked when we got here." said Stella.
"We could've done video recordings." said Clyde.
"I don't mind doing it this way." said Lincoln.
"Don't forget to write about how cool I was." said Rusty.
"I wrote about how you saved Elecmon from drowning." said Lincoln.
"Good, now anyone who reads this in the future will know how cool I was." said Rusty with a smug look on his face.
"Yeah, when you're not panicking and running in circles." said Zach, making them all, except Rusty, laugh. After Lincoln finished writing that's happened to them so far, they all go to their sleeping mats and go right to sleep.
