After moments and we were outside, I finally remembered her. I look back in my bag and it's the perfume I bought for Mei. Well, anyway, Harumi walks beside me.
-"Hey, let's go to a cafe." Harumi asks.
-I just nod.
I did remember a childhood friend but, she isn't like Harumi. Maybe she is, but maybe she isn't.
It's a mystery. Well, anyhow. I at least have her.
-We continue to walk…
-Exchange word and numbers…
-The orange sunset looks beautiful…
-I led her to the railing, near the ocean. "It's beautiful. Right?"
-She replies with a happy, content smile. "Yeah, it's like there are only the two of us now."
-The sun slowly bid farewell to us as it slowly disappeared into the distant ocean. There is still light. We then playfully hold our hands together. Walking to a cafe that she only remembers.
Aoi then took a seat beside Harumi. Both looks at the menu.
-Aoi looks at Harumi. "So, what do you like? Found any interesting in the menu?"
-Harumi giggles. "I know dumbass."
-The server walks to their able. Harumi ordered a big chocolate milkshake, with M&M's on top. Aoi orders tea with honey.
Both relax. Taking their time and talking to each other. It was night now. Aoi looks outside and saw the faraway pier. Glowing with lights. The boats also glow, making the ocean somewhat alive. Then he looks back at Harumi.
-Aoi spoke with a question tone and head tilted. "So, you're really my childhood friend, huh? How come I didn't know you yet?"
-Harumi replies with a surprise on her face. Though she acknowledges the possibility of Aoi forgetting her now, she doesn't think this forgetfulness will be absolute. "Well, I went away and left you when we were little. My parents got work in Tokyo and that's where I've been living. Now I'm back, I won't just leave and you can't make me leave either. Okay?"
