[Third Person]
The next morning, the makeshift base on Naboo began its routine. Anakin and Kit Fisto departed for a reconnaissance mission in Separatist space, carrying a prototype of Rick's null-energy resonance inhibitor as a last resort. Queen Jamillia and her cabinet were grappling with the logistics of the impending galactic "economic readjustment," a task that kept them perpetually on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
Kaelen and Padmé were in the control room they had set up, monitoring readings from various sensors and trying to keep an eye on Rick's communications via a small spy drone they had discreetly placed near his lab.
On the main screen, the drone camera's view appeared. It showed Rick waking up amidst his usual chaos of half-finished inventions and empty bottles. He stretched, burped, and then reached for his portal gun on the table.
He grabbed it, aimed into the air, and pulled the trigger.
The portal that opened wasn't the familiar green swirl. Instead, a garish, bright pink portal materialized with a cheerful tinkling sound.
Rick blinked, incredulous. He aimed elsewhere and fired again. Another pink portal, this time accompanied by the sound of small children giggling.
He cursed and fired repeatedly at different points in the room. Each time, a pink portal opened, accompanied by a symphony of cheesy sounds: puppy yips, chiming bells, a child's voice saying "Surprise!"
In the Naboo control room, Kaelen and Padmé were trying to stifle their laughter. Even the stoic Royal Guards monitoring the sensors let out small smiles.
Rick's frustration grew exponentially. He began yelling at the gun, slamming it against the table, even trying to disassemble it with a screwdriver, but the casing seemed to resist his efforts.
Finally, in a fit of rage, Rick aimed the gun towards his lab door and fired. A pink portal opened, and from the other side... out stepped a small holographic choir of Ewoks singing a children's song a cappella.
That was too much for Kaelen and Padmé. Both burst into laughter, tears streaming down their faces. Even the Royal Guards were coughing to hide their amusement.
"This is magnificent!" Kaelen managed to say between laughs. "The multiverse's most dangerous weapon now opens portals to cheesy birthday parties!"
"The humiliation is complete," Padmé added, wiping her eyes. "He's lost all his aura of menace. He's adorably pathetic!"
A few minutes later, Padmé picked up her datapad. With a mischievous smile, she selected the frequency for Rick's interdimensional communicator to Earth.
INTERDIMENSIONAL GROUP CHAT: Sanchez Family & Associates
Padmé: Guys, you have to see this. 🤣
She attached the link to the live spy drone feed.
Within seconds, replies began to pour in.
Beth: What's the old man doing now? He looks like he's having a psychotic break with pink portals.
Summer: OMG, did you hear the Ewoks? This is better than anything I've seen on Interdimensional Cable!
Morty: Uh... should we be worried about Grandpa? He looks pretty mad.
Jerry: (Sending multiple laughing emojis) Hahahaha! He deserves it for all the times he's turned me into a snail! Good job, whoever did this!
Padmé: (Replying to Jerry) You're welcome, Jerry. 😊
Beth: Hold on a second... Padmé? Was that you?
Padmé: Perhaps. 😉 Kaelen had a little help.
Summer: You two are my heroes! I need this video for my next montage! #RickFail #PinkPortal #EwokKaraoke
As the Sanchez family on Earth reveled in Rick's cosmic humiliation, in his Naboo lab, the genius was on the verge of breaking point. He had tried shooting the spy drone (another pink portal, this time with the sound of a wet kiss), he had tried locking himself in (the portal opened to a field full of singing flowers), and now he was sitting in a corner, muttering about betrayal and the "inherent evil of pastel colors."
Padmé's revenge, orchestrated with Kaelen's help, had been a resounding success. Not only had it lightened the mood on Naboo, but it had provided interdimensional entertainment for the entire family. And most importantly, it had shown that even the most feared being in the multiverse was vulnerable to a vengeful wife and a little technological manipulation.
