Almost every branch family member of the Hyuga clan was assigned to serve a main family member. They were called "attendants" but were effectively "servants." Not every main family member was as gentle as Hyuga Hinata. If one was unlucky enough to be assigned to a main family member with a bad temperament, they served not only as a "servant" but also as a "training dummy."
Coincidentally, the main family member Hyuga Kawa served was precisely such a person, someone who didn't regard the lives of branch family members as human lives.
And the guy in front of him was nothing more than a good dog.
Hyuga Kawa's smile faded slightly. He ignored the Hyuga clan member's deliberate provocation and simply continued walking outwards. The other party clearly hadn't expected the usually submissive Hyuga Kawa, who had always tolerated gossip, to ignore him. His face instantly darkened, and he called out his name gravely, "Hyuga Kawa, I'm asking you!"
Hyuga Kawa still ignored him and kept walking. Might Guy merely shrugged and followed suit.
"Trash! I told you to stop!"
An angry voice reached his ears from behind, followed by the whistling sound of displaced air. The guy actually reached for Hyuga Kawa's shoulder, striking with absolutely no sense of camaraderie.
Might Guy stopped, his brow furrowed, about to intervene. But just as that hand landed on his shoulder, Hyuga Kawa's body shook violently like a "strong pine shedding snow." An intense force instantly traveled through his entire body to his shoulder, making the Hyuga clan member's palm feel numb.
The next moment, before the astonished Hyuga clan member could react, Hyuga Kawa, without turning his head, bent his single arm, stepped his left foot forward, and moved his body in a "circle." The white hem of his clothes swirled gently with his movement, revealing his lean, well-defined abdomen as he pushed his palm forward.
If someone from his previous life had seen this move, they would have blurted out two words.
In the Hyuga clan member's eyes, his right hand was first knocked aside. The Hyuga Kawa before him vanished with almost "body flicker" speed, lowering his stance, his palm pressing against his abdomen. Then, an unimaginably overwhelming force, far surpassing his own, surged through that palm, engulfing him like a tide.
Bang!!
Terrifying force erupted within half a centimeter, enough to shake a boulder. The power slammed into the Hyuga clan member's body, making him hunch over as if struck by a battering ram. Just as a mouthful of blood was about to be vomited from the Hyuga clan member's mouth.
"It wouldn't do to draw blood," a casual voice entered his ears.
Hyuga Kawa's right palm was upward, his elbow downward, as he emotionlessly lightly patted his chin. A crisp "crack" sound was heard, and the mouthful of foul blood that had surged to his throat was swallowed back down.
"Cough cough! Cough!!"
The Hyuga clan member's entire face contorted in pain. Clutching his throat and abdomen, his body knelt weakly before Hyuga Kawa.
"You actually dare..."
His Byakugan eyes protruded slightly, surrounded by bulging veins. He stared wide-eyed, looking up at Hyuga Kawa. However, meeting those calm eyes, the latter half of his sentence mysteriously caught in his throat, and a sudden chill rose in his heart. It was a baseless chill, crawling over him like a venomous snake, pressing down with its icy touch.
He was actually afraid? Afraid of this trash? How could that be...
"That palm strike repays you," Hyuga Kawa looked down at him, a smile back on his face. "Hyuga Aoi's extra training is in the afternoon. Next time, don't act like a dog relying on its master's power in front of me."
Saying this, he lightly patted his shoulder, ignored his slightly trembling body, and walked out of the compound with Might Guy.
"I didn't expect you to go this far!"
Along the way, Might Guy's tone remained light. He was only slightly curious about Hyuga Kawa's actions. He had, of course, heard of Hyuga Kawa's past "deeds," but Hyuga Kawa was a friend he acknowledged, and he didn't believe Kawa was the "waste" the rumors claimed. Besides, just that unheard-of taijutsu he used earlier, which seemed to blend Strong Fist and Gentle Fist, was, in his opinion, far stronger than those rigid Hyuga clan members. He just didn't understand why Kawa always ignored the rumors.
"You praise me too much, Senpai. After all, they are my clansmen; I didn't want to go too far," Hyuga Kawa said apologetically.
Might Guy shook his head and grinned, "You did nothing wrong! Youth doesn't tolerate defilement!"
Hyuga Kawa smiled, helplessly saying, "Having to deal with this kind of commotion has really annoyed me."
[Ding! Your lie has been judged as [Speaking Through Your Hat]. Might Guy has experienced slight emotional fluctuations, reaching the level of [Deeply Convinced]. You have gained 200 Realization Points...]
This was, of course, a lie. Why didn't he react before? On one hand, his plan targeting Orochimaru hadn't succeeded yet, and a harmless "waste" image was more useful to him. On the other hand...
"When the dog at the village entrance barks, the other dogs follow suit, but they don't know why they're barking."
"If you have to stop and throw rocks to chase away every barking stray dog, you'd never get anything else done."
Hyuga Kawa sneered inwardly. He felt no emotion towards that passerby, who didn't even deserve a name. His attack was partly to test his newly conceived move, and partly to lay the groundwork for his upcoming plan.
Only rats hide in the sewers; no one would believe what a "rat" says. It was like when Danzo Shimura spoke, villagers would only ask who that old geezer was. But when Hiruzen Sarutobi spoke, no matter how outlandish, people would instinctively suspect they simply didn't understand. Lies only become truth when spoken by those with power and authority.
The bloodline's transformation of Hyuga Kawa was internal and external, from the intangible senses and talent to the physical strength. If there were no external interference, the bloodline's modification and cleansing of the body should be a long and slow process, gradually strengthening over time.
Hyuga Kawa couldn't wait too long. He needed more Realization Points, so he had to get closer to other high-quality targets, and he needed to appropriately display his abilities to increase his own value. The "rebellion" just now was merely the first step. Without a doubt, the news of his human experimentation and transformation by Orochimaru would soon reach more people.
Hiruzen Sarutobi should have already taken "Yamato," now codenamed "Tenzo," under his wing. As one of only two surviving experimental subjects under Orochimaru, Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura would definitely try to use him as a means of probing.
With that thought, Hyuga Kawa recalled his eyes once more. His gaze flickered as he silently chanted, "Materialize item — Pure Byakugan that can awaken the Tenseigan upon fusion."
[Spend 10,000 Realization Points, proceed with materialization?]
"It's just enough to materialize?"
Hearing this, Hyuga Kawa hesitated for a moment. To be safe, he tentatively chanted, "Materialize item — The method for awakening the Tenseigan by fusing a pure Byakugan with a pure Otsutsuki bloodline."
[Insufficient points.]
"..." Hyuga Kawa's face instantly darkened. "As expected, something is still missing."
Good thing he didn't fall for this damn system's trick. If he had impulsively spent all his assets only to get a pair of useless Byakugan, he'd truly have nowhere to cry.
"In that case, only the second method seems more stable and safe," Hyuga Kawa frowned.
The Hyuga clan's Byakugan should be purer than that of the Otsutsuki branch on the moon. The only problem was that their numbers were far inferior to the Otsutsuki clan who had peacefully occupied the moon for thousands of years. He wondered if gouging out the eyes of the entire clan would be enough to fuse a Tenseigan...
Cough cough.
As the thought arose, Hyuga Kawa couldn't help but cough, quickly muttering "mea culpa" in his heart. Gouging out all eyes was truly too evil; he wasn't like Uchiha Itachi, that beast. He only needed to take the eyes of those Hyuga who had awakened their Byakugan. Gouging out the eyes of ordinary people who hadn't awakened theirs would be useless anyway.
Of course, this task couldn't be done by him. He had a better candidate.
Now, he just had to wait for those old geezers to reveal their ugly faces.
