CHAPTER 1
The Code Names – The Silver Crest Numbers
The Silver Crest is an elite warrior unit sworn to protect their homeland and defend against intruders.
Each member abandons their birth name upon entry.
Instead, they are given a number—not just as a title, but as a symbol of:
Rank or order of initiation
Their combat specialty
A vow of anonymity and sacrifice
These numbers are sacred.
Only members of the Silver Crest are called things like One, Two, Nine, etc.
For example:
One – The eldest and most disciplined; the tactician
Two – Fastest and deadliest with blades
Nine – The youngest, but with unmatched instinct
To outsiders, it's just a number.
To them, it's a legacy.
