Alan was amazed slightly at David's performance and now he got to know true powers of hero lineages . He was eager to prove his powers too but other students were ahead of him in the queue . After the 72nd participant , Alan was bored beyond his wits . He tried to maintain his composure but his eyes narrowed slightly in irritation .
"When is my turn going to come ? Don't tell me I am the last participant ! " Alan muttered under his breadth.
He then exhaled slowly as he calmed his nerves and began observing his surroundings especially his peers. He knew some them were strong and had quite useful abilities but then his gaze met with David fletcher . He smiled involuntarily at his tough opponent as he thought how their battle would go .
Seeing Alan's smile towards him , David flinched in surprise . He never expected anyone to maintain his gaze and even manage to smile at him ! He was about to teach that ignorant bastard a lesson when he saw that guy's name being called .
"Our last participant is Alan Turner . Please come forward" , announced Sapphire sorceress to all people present .
Alan broke his eye contact with David and stood up from his place while stretching his shoulder as he stepped in front of the female hero . Sapphire Sorceress gazed at him as a test score uploaded and she gasped in surprise . She shacked her head to clear her thoughts .
" No this can't be ! How is it possible ?!" She muttered under her breadth and reloaded the result but it remain unchanged . Alan's brows got furrowed as he stood there silently .
"Is there something wrong ? " He asked softly .
Sapphire Sorceress regained her composure as she replied .
" No , it's nothing . Please state your powers ."
Alan nodded and said ," My powers are energy projection and energy manipulation by which i can strengthen my body ."
Sapphire Sorceress smiled after hearing the powers . She thought to herself that such rare powers along with such bright mind is truly a blessing from heaven . She nodded as she wrote down the details .
"Please proceed , Alan Turner ."
Alan smirked and loosened his muscles .
" With pleasure ! "
Saying the last phrase , Alan stepped up in the arena . The dummies noticed his presence and rushed towards him . Alan calmly looked at them as they rushed towards him and stretched his right palm towards them . As they were 10 meters away from him an incredible amount of energy concentrated in his open palm as Alan blasted all the the dummies to oblivion .
All the people widened their eyes at his destructive power and even Sapphire Sorceress stood agape at his performance . Seeing their reactions chuckled to himself and rushed towards the target by increasing his speed through energy . When he was ten meters away from the target , he mimicked David's exquisite manoeuvre by applying a bit of energy in his legs and jumping high while concentrating all of his energy at his palm and struck it towards the target unleashing a terrifying blast .
The entire hall shook and even the walls threatened to tumble under the blast while everyone looked at the man responsible for it . As the smoke cleared near the target , he walked out unharmed with a confident expression. Everyone looked at him and whispers flew at him , comparing him to David .
" Look ! That Alan guy may even be stronger than David fletcher !" Some people whispered in hushed tones .
Alan returned back and took a seat in the far corner . He felt everyone's gaze at himself and small smile tugged at his lips from receiving such admiration for the first time and he then noticed Sapphire Sorceress looking at him with a bright expression .
"My God Alan ! You just took 52 seconds to complete the test and have officially broken the record for the abilities exam by a great margin ! That's wonderful ! "
Alan smiled slightly and bowed his head and went in the waiting area . Sapphire Sorceress addressed the people present there .
" And with that , the second part of entrance exam gets over . Now you all can wait in the waiting area as your scores will soon be revealed to you . In the meantime you all can wait in the hall and take your digital devices back ."
A person appeared with a bag and returned everyone their mobile phones and accessories . Alan took back his phone and his earphones and went to the corner of the hall and took a seat for himself .After settling down , he switched on his phone and put on some music as he leaned back , a satisfied smile bloomed on his face , he thought in his mind ,"I did it , I actually DID IT !!!! I am going to study at USDHA NOW !"
As he was thinking that , he noticed several people staring at him . He realized his weird behavior and got a little flustered .
" Damn, I cant act like that now otherwise they would think of me like a weirdo !"
As he was thinking to himself , he noticed a set of footsteps closing towards himself . He gazed up ahead and saw David Fletcher walking towards him with a slight displeased expression .
"What could be the matter with him ? , why is he coming here ?" , Alan thought to himself as he pretended not to notice his advance .
David stopped 2 feet infront of Alan and looked at him with slight disdain .
"Who are you actually ?"
Alan looked up and stood up with a small smile and said , " I am Alan turner ."
As silence settled between them , they gazed into eachother's eyes and a great pressure radiated from both of them . Both of them were around same height but David's figure was considerably broader , burlier and muscular . Alan looked tall and slightly thin in his loose tracksuit as he matched David's glare . After a short while , a faint smile bloomed on David's face .
"You're strong ", said David
"You too " , replied Alan with a curt smile .
Just then their phones buzzed and the test results had been announced . As they looked at their results , Sapphire sorceress came with a bright smile as she said , "The test results have come and we have the the first rank ,Alan Turner and the second rank , David fletcher from this group !!!"
Alan's eyes widened slightly as he checked his score on his phone with a slight shaking fingers . The scores loaded and a surprised chuckle left his mouth . He was indeed first with a perfect score in the first test and highest score in the abilities test . He looked up and saw everyone gazing him with jealousy and admiration . He then noticed David looking him with a small smile .
" You're truly strong ! Looks like it wont to be too boring here ! "
" I can say the same ! " replied Alan in excitement .
Sapphire sorceress cleared her throat as she once again brought the attention towards her . " All the students who have passed have to come day tomorrow along with all of your personal possessions except Alan and David who have to report by eight in the night today itself . We will also have our orientation tomorrow ."
