Chapter 28 - Chapter 28

"Releasing such a powerful spirit reaction so brazenly… should I call it confidence, or arrogance?" Riku narrowed his eyes as if peering across space, trying to see the unknown presence in the distance, and spoke in a low voice.

This spirit reaction was already stronger than Fia at her peak. It was definitely a high-ranking race, at least a Flügel, possibly even a Dragonia...

Not only that, but ahead of this aura, there was another terrifying, sinister energy so evil that Riku had sensed something similar from that high-level demonia, Black Hawk.

But compared to Black Hawk, this aura was far stronger, definitely an even higher-ranking existence, most likely a  Dragonia

With these two terrifying beings about to clash, just the aftermath of their battle would be enough to destroy everything within hundreds of thousands of meters.

Even though the human settlement was far from them, it wasn't safe. Just as Schwi had judged, the shockwaves would reach them.

"Schwi, wait here. I'll be right back." Riku said in a deep voice.

"Understood." Schwi nodded obediently.

After patting Schwi's head, Riku immediately teleported back to his room via Shambhala.

"Riku! Something bad happened! There's a powerful spirit reaction!" Couronne burst anxiously into Riku's room, holding something that looked like a compass.

It was a spirit compass Riku had created, able to point toward any source of spirit reaction, so they could avoid it.

And this time, the reaction on Couronne's spirit compass was so intense, it was obvious how terrifying this new visitor was.

"Couronne, calm down." Riku spoke gravely and patted her shoulder.

"Gather everyone and start evacuating to the next settlement immediately. Leave behind anything you must do not hesitate." Riku ordered, his tone cool and decisive.

"What about you?" Couronne immediately sensed something was wrong and hurriedly asked.

"I'll go intercept the shockwaves. Don't worry, I have spatial abilities. I'll be fine." Riku replied with total seriousness.

"Spatial abilities...? Got it, Riku, just be careful, okay? Don't do anything reckless." Couronne's expression shifted, but she nodded and hurried out without another word.

"Looks like I'm still not strong enough..." Riku frowned slightly. If he were stronger, he wouldn't need to evacuate he could just go there and wipe out those two troublemakers himself.

...

Still, no matter how annoyed he was, he had to do what needed to be done. In the next moment, Riku teleported back to Schwi's side with Shambhala.

"Schwi, I have a favour to ask. While my people are evacuating, if you encounter enemies, take them out if you can. If you can't, contact me." Riku said seriously.

"I understand." Schwi hesitated a moment, but finally nodded. "However, according to our contract, if Riku dies, Schwi will self-destruct."

"Don't worry, I won't die." Riku smiled reassuringly.

With that, he wasted no more words, immediately opening the Third Gate, the Gate of Life, of the Eight Gates. Green aura surged around his whole body.

At the same time, he activated Sky Walk, bursting through the air at high speed toward the battlefield.

"...!" Schwi watched Riku unleash even more power, her red eyes flickering. Thoughts of what Riku had said earlier surfaced in her mind, making her fall silent in thought.

...

Far from the human settlement, two enormous beings finally collided.

One was a majestic white dragon, its body covered in gleaming white scales, soaring through the sky. The other was a demonic dragon, its body covered in signs of decay and corruption, exuding a terrifyingly evil aura.

These two were a Dragonia and a Demonic Dragonia!

"What a filthy form, Dragonia looking demonia." The white dragonia's massive pupils stared at the rotting black dragon blocking its path, speaking with scorn.

"ROAR—!" The demonic dragon replied with a roar.

The sound made the very space tremble, the air rippling in waves unnatural and terrifying. Just one roar sent cracks through the land below and the surrounding rocky mountains.

"RAAWR—!" The white dragonia, enraged by the challenge, opened its jaws wide and roared back.

Instantly, their clashing roars alone sent shockwaves that shattered the ground and mountains, sending stones flying and cracks spreading sheer destructive power.

This was the terror of high-ranking races; just the aftershocks of their clash could annihilate everything nearby. Humans, werebeasts, elves, all would be trampled like ants.

Rushing forward, Riku suddenly felt the pressure increase. A wave of unnatural storm surged from the distance, destroying everything in its path. Riku could only frown and punch the storm apart.

He understood, deep down, that the beings he was about to face were stronger than he had ever imagined.
