Chapter 19 - Getting Bullied? Who? Part-2 [Bonus]

Sakura had long, flowing purple hair that cascaded all the way down to her hips like a silky waterfall, each strand catching the sunlight as she moved.

Her deep violet eyes shimmered with an unnatural glow, intense and mysterious, and her skin was pale—almost too pale—as if not a single drop of blood coursed beneath it. She wore the same school uniform as everyone else, the white blouse and black skirt combination that blended her into the crowd. But no matter how ordinary the uniform was, there was one thing that simply refused to be hidden—her chest. Her breasts were noticeably fuller than those of the other girls walking alongside her, and even the loose school fabric couldn't fully disguise their soft bounce as she hurried along the path. [Imgincmt]

With a bright and excited expression, Sakura walked briskly with her group of friends. Her footsteps were quick, and her posture alert. This wasn't just any ordinary walk to the basketball court—this was the first time she had ever heard something so completely unbelievable.

Her favorite senior—the gentle, quiet, pure-hearted Leo—was supposedly playing basketball. Not just casually shooting hoops either, but actually competing against the captain of the basketball team.

The thought made her heart skip.

A man who wouldn't even step on an ant, no matter how annoying it was?

Was now challenging the most athletic guy in the whole damn school?

There's just no way.

"Luna, are you absolutely sure about this? Did you really, truly see Senior Leo on the court? Are you messing with me or something?" Sakura asked, her voice tense with disbelief and shaky anticipation. Her eyes were locked on her friend, desperate for confirmation, clinging to even the tiniest chance that it might be true.

Luna nodded confidently, not missing a beat. "I swear, Sakura. I wouldn't lie about this. I saw him with my own eyes. He was out there, in the court, holding the ball. I mean, it was totally him. That same calm face, that gentle smile. But he looked... different somehow."

Sakura's heart pounded like a drum. Her pulse raced through her chest and ears as she picked up her pace. The world around her blurred as she and her friends moved quickly past the main hall, down the corridor, and finally out toward the basketball court.

As they stepped in, Sakura's breath caught in her throat. Her feet froze.

Her eyes widened.

There he was.

Her Senior.

He stood in the middle of the court, sweat dripping steadily down the sides of his neck and disappearing beneath the damp collar of his shirt. His white school uniform, now clinging tightly to his skin, outlined the lean muscles of his back and shoulders. A soft but chilling smile played on his lips as he bounced the ball rhythmically with one hand, his body relaxed, but his eyes razor sharp.

"Oh my god~" Sakura's face went completely red. Her knees buckled as a wave of dizziness washed over her. Her friends gasped and quickly reached out, catching her just before she fell flat on the ground. They carefully guided her to the bench and helped her sit down.

"I-It's really him…" Sakura whispered breathlessly, her voice dreamy and faraway. Her eyes sparkled with admiration, completely lost in the sight of the boy she adored standing in the spotlight, soaked in sweat, commanding the court like he belonged there.

"Who do you think's going to win?" a girl near her asked, nudging another friend and whispering behind her hand.

"Duh, obviously Kai. He's the captain, remember? He's been playing since middle school. Look at that physique. That's not just some random guy you can beat out of nowhere."

Sakura's lip curled with irritation. Her expression twitched. "YOU BITC—!" she started, voice rising.

But before she could even finish, her friends lunged and clamped a hand over her mouth. They knew her too well. It wasn't the first time she had gone off on someone for talking trash about Leo.

"We're just here to watch, remember? Keep it cool, Sakura," one of her friends warned, eyes serious and firm.

Sakura gave a dramatic pout and crossed her arms, then turned away with a defiant scoff. "Hmph... Whatever. I don't care what anyone says. My senior is going to win. I know it. I can feel it in my soul!"

Her friends exchanged glances. It sounded impossible.

That boy—the same senior Sakura kept talking about all year long—wasn't known for being athletic. If anything, he was the kind of guy who said yes to everything and everyone. A people pleaser, a helper, a quiet soul who moved through the school with invisible kindness.

He wasn't popular or flashy, and no one really noticed him much.. Except Sakura.

She always talked about how Leo helped old ladies carry buckets near the back garden, or how he once stayed after school just to fix a broken faucet in the teacher's lounge. Everyone else just used him for chores and heavy lifting.

He didn't even play basketball. So there was no way he could win--

"YAAAAYYYYY!!" Sakura screamed out of nowhere, startling her friends.

Leo had just scored a clean, precise basket. The ball hit the backboard and fell perfectly through the hoop. The sound echoed across the court.

Sakura practically jumped out of her seat. Her fists clenched, eyes glowing with pride.

Her friends blinked, stunned, and looked toward the other end of the court where Kai, the basketball captain, stood frozen. His expression darkened, his jaw clenched. This wasn't how it was supposed to go.

Leo, meanwhile, calmly stepped back and rubbed his chin with a thoughtful look. "One more to go," he murmured.

Kai gritted his teeth in frustration. He couldn't believe it. This guy—this nobody—had just scored two points in a row. In front of everyone. With everyone watching.

Leo reached up and casually loosened the top button of his shirt. Sweat gleamed across his collarbone.

Suddenly—

"KKKYYYAAAAAA!!!!!"

Leo winced, hearing that single high-pitched scream, and glanced around. The crowd had doubled, maybe tripled. More students were gathering by the second.

'When did this turn into a full-blown event?' Leo wondered as he narrowed his eyes at the roaring crowd. Then he smirked faintly. 'Fine. If this is a show… let's make it interesting.'

A tall, muscular boy stepped forward, bouncing the ball between his massive hands. He looked at Leo with a slight grin and nodded.

"You've got some serious talent, man. I didn't expect that," he said.

Leo gave a polite nod and looked back toward Kai. The captain's eyes were blazing with frustration and tension. Leo could practically see the steam rising from his head.

"I haven't even gotten serious yet," Kai muttered under his breath, voice low and threatening.

Leo smiled. "Well then, it's about time you did, buddy," he replied with calm confidence.

They both stepped into position again.

The crowd leaned forward in anticipation.

The ball was thrown into the air.

Time slowed.

Both Leo and Kai jumped at the same moment, bodies lifting into the air like they were weightless. Their hands slapped the ball at the same time, and the sound cracked through the silence. They hovered, and just as gravity began to pull them down, Kai's lips curled into a sly smile.

He whispered something—words no one could quite catch—and suddenly flicked the ball downward with a strange twist. The ball bounced toward the ground… but instead of going neutral, it spun back with perfect control and landed in his favor.

As soon as his feet hit the ground, Kai launched into motion. He darted toward the ball, scooped it up smoothly, and turned. Leo blinked, visibly stunned. His legs froze for just a second too long.

Kai grinned.

He began to dribble the ball with flawless, rhythmic control, weaving through an invisible path with elegance and confidence.

Leo stared at his own hand. He was sure he felt something strange—like a tingling heat, like a glowing green symbol had flashed over Kai's mouth... skin for a brief moment.

'What the hell was that? Did something come out of his mouth?' Leo shook his head, trying to ignore the creeping feeling. 'No. Probably just my imagination.'

He tried to steal the ball back, lunging toward Kai.

But Kai was faster now... Much faster.

With a sharp twist, Kai feinted to the side, baited Leo, then spun in the opposite direction, bounced the ball off the ground, caught it midair, and jumped high.

He soared and landed a perfect shot—clean through the basket.

Thud!

The ball hit the court floor and bounced once.

For a moment, there was only silence.

Then—

"OHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

The courtyard exploded with noise. Cheers, gasps, applause, screams.

"Damn! That was fast! I couldn't even follow his hands!"

"That's Captain Kai for you, bitch!!"

The crowd surged forward, students pushing up against the edge of the court as Kai threw his hands out wide, accepting the roar of admiration.

"KAI!"

"KAI!"

"KAI!"

"KAI!!"

The chant shook the court.
