Chapter 32 - Chapter 32: Byrnndi World: We’ve Hooked a Big Fish

"Looks like we've hooked a big fish this time!"

"Big Brother!"

Byrnndi World lowered his telescope and casually handed it to the small, frail man sitting on his shoulder, who wore a horned helmet with one horn broken.

"Khak... khak..."

The man Waldo called "Big Brother," Bin Jack, coughed twice, raised the telescope with his skinny, trembling hands, and his expression immediately changed.

His face was filled with shock and concern. Coughing again, he warned, "Khak... khak... that's a ship from the Rocks Pirates. We... we shouldn't provoke them."

It was hard to tell if it was due to his small frame or some chronic illness, but Bin Jack's voice was soft and weak.

Byrnndi World, still staring out at the pirate ship on the distant waves, said firmly, "I don't care if they're from the Rocks Pirates. I, Byrnndi World, only know that ship must be carrying loads of supplies and treasure!"

"Big Brother, without money, how can we build our dream pirate ship?"

"Whatever stands in my way, I will make it disappear!"

His booming voice silenced everyone on the deck.

Waldo turned to his three top officers, his gaze sharp and merciless, his voice cold. "Three minutes. Settle this in three minutes. I don't want to hear a word about going over my time limit."

"Yes!"

"Yes!"

"Understood!"

A massive fish-man with blue skin immediately stepped forward, his face full of confidence. "Three minutes is more than enough."

"Let's go destroy that ship."

Whoosh!

The fish-man, Sebastian, leapt into the air from the deck and with a thundering splash, crashed into the sea, sending towering waves into the sky.

Sebastian was a hybrid of a fish-man and a giant, his body far larger than any ordinary fish-man.

On deck, the other two officers were preparing to jump onto Sebastian's back when Bin Jack, still perched on Waldo's shoulder, suddenly shouted, "There's someone in the water! Someone's swimming toward us!!"

Through his telescope, he clearly saw a figure cutting rapidly through the water toward their ship.

"What?!"

Byrnndi World was visibly surprised for a moment, then burst out laughing. "Wahaha... I didn't expect the enemy to have the guts to fight back!"

"But it doesn't matter who it is. No one can stop Byrnndi World."

"Fire the cannons! Sink that guy! Feed him to the fish!"

At his command, the pirates on deck quickly lit the cannon fuses. Sparks hissed and raced toward the cannon chambers.

Boom!

Boom!

Boom!

One after another, black iron cannonballs blasted into the sea.

Under the cold sea, Ares paddled powerfully, his arms swinging in perfect rhythm as his legs kicked off, leaving waves surging in his wake.

The figure charging at Waldo's pirate ship was none other than Ares!

"Captain said battle is what forges a man into an unbreakable blade!"

"I've been training all these days. My body has been craving this!"

"I want to fight!"

Ares looked up at the sky as cannonballs rained down toward him. He immediately dove deeper, changing his course to dodge the incoming bombardment.

The splashing waves and the fierce blasts couldn't slow him down at all.

The thought of fighting a powerful opponent made his blood boil, even in the freezing ocean.

Rewind to one or two minutes earlier.

On the pirate ship.

When Ares heard from Wang Zhi that the enemy was a powerful pirate crew, his eyes immediately lit up, just like a beast spotting a delicious prey.

Before Wang Zhi could react, Ares had already leaped into the sea with a loud splash.

"What?!"

Wang Zhi was completely dumbfounded. His hand trembled, almost pulling out his own beard. Panic flooded his face as he frantically shouted toward the sea, "Hey!!! Ares!!"

"Come back!!!"

But in the roaring wind and surging waves, his voice was drowned out, completely lost to Ares.

"Damn it!" Wang Zhi cursed anxiously in his heart. "Now this is real trouble."

"That kid's too reckless!!"

Furious, he slammed his fist into the iron-plated railing, leaving a deep dent.

Too bold!!

Too impulsive!!

That was the notorious Waldo Pirates, famous across the seas. The Navy had launched multiple campaigns to hunt them, all ending in failure, often with heavy losses.

For Ares to charge in like this was practically suicide.

Wang Zhi's expression darkened. He quickly made a decision and shouted to the crew on deck, "Turn the ship! Prepare for battle!!!"

After giving his orders, he turned back to the sea.

His face was filled with worry and tension. "Ares, you better not get yourself killed!"

"If anything happens to you, Shiki and Newgate will skin me alive!"

His heart was filled with urgency, anger, and relentless curses.

In the sea.

Sebastian, the Waldo Pirates' officer, poked his head above the surface, a sneer on his lips. "What a foolish pirate, abandoning his own crew to charge at us alone."

"In the sea, this is fish-man territory."

His cold face was filled with absolute confidence. He dove again, disappearing beneath the waves.

His body shot forward like a living torpedo, cutting through the water at incredible speed, racing toward Ares.

As a hybrid of a fish-man and a giant, he inherited the giant's massive frame and overwhelming strength, as well as their long lifespan.

But he also retained the fish-man's key advantage: total mastery in the sea.

On the pirate ship.

Waldo raised his hand, signaling the gunners to cease fire. A wicked smile spread across his face. "Stop the cannons. Once Sebastian makes his move, that guy won't last thirty seconds."

He had complete confidence in his officer's strength.

Especially in the sea, where Sebastian's fish-man heritage gave him a natural, unbeatable edge.

Waldo's eyes fell on the golden-armored figure standing on the opposing ship's deck. It was Wang Zhi, a senior member of the Rocks Pirates.

A nasty grin crept across Waldo's face. "I wonder how long Wang Zhi will last against me."

On his shoulder, Bin Jack coughed and warned, "Waldo... khak... khak... don't get careless."

"The enemy's ship has already turned around. That means the one in the sea is extremely important. Ordinary pirates... khak... they would have been abandoned already."

Bin Jack knew very well that the Rocks Pirates were notoriously cruel and pragmatic.

They would never abandon a strategic retreat to save just an ordinary pirate.

Waldo's green beard curled as his grin widened. "It's too late. Sebastian's already closing in on that kid."

As he spoke, he casually pulled out a pocket watch, glanced at it, and committed the time to memory.

"Victory or defeat will be decided within ten seconds."
