Iris's POV
Out of nowhere, my eyes turned wet again as I hurried toward Amelia, my arms wrapping around her tightly, clinging to her tightly as if life had given me a chance to ease my pain through this hug.
Even though I tried to stay strong, sudden tears streamed down my face, hot and uncontrollable, as I buried my head in her shoulder, sobbing. My hands gripped her still, refusing to let go, as if this embrace could lift the weight of everything I'd carried for so long. It was as if the Moon Goddess had granted me this rare moment to lay all my burdens at Amelia, to cry my pain away, to let the jagged pieces of my heart spill out.
