The battlefield was beyond words. Dust from shattered earth and steam from evaporated chakra, rose into the air. The once disciplined formations of shinobi had scattered eyes wide with dread.
Standing tall in the center was Senju Raizen, The Dragon of the Leaf.
Opposite him stood Rokuro the infamous Jinchuriki of the Four Tails who was fully possessed by Son Goku. His lava fused chakra bubbled, and molten cracks ran along the ground with each of his monstrous steps.
Beside him hovering in the air was Ishikawa the First Tsuchikage his palms glowing with the light of Dust Release. The deadliest of all nature transformations.
The tension split the battlefield.
Son Goku roared and started forming a massive Tailed Beast Ball black and red energy swirling violently.
Raizen's gaze narrowed thunder surged around him Thunderclap Eight Trigrams crackled like a storm waiting to explode.
Ishikawa moved first. He unleashed a massive cube of Dust Release disintegrating everything in its path towards Raizen at the same time Son Goku launched his Tailed Beast Ball directly at Raizen.
The Konoha shinobi screamed in horror.
But Raizen stood firm.
His Observation Haki flared he used Soru and avoided the dust release attack than in a single explosive burst of motion. His body spun mid air. Armament Haki coated the mace.
BOOM!!
The Tailed Beast Ball collided with Raizen's mace. The ground beneath him cratered.
But it didn't push him back.
With a massive swing Raizen deflected the attack back to son Goku. It exploded on son Goku's face he roared under the explosion. A shocked silence swept the battlefield.
Before the enemy could react Raizen disappeared and punched son Goku in his chest the huge beast was lifted off the ground and fell backwards.
Soru.
He reappeared behind Ishikawa and slammed the mace into his back.
Thunderclap Eight Trigrams.
A wave of thunder exploded from the point of contact. Lightning coursed through Ishikawa's body as he screamed.
At that moment Raizen's Conqueror's Haki surged. A ring of black lightning exploded outward. Hundreds of enemy shinobi collapsed instantly, eyes rolling back.
Son Goku sensing danger growled and took a defensive stance he was again preparing for tail beast ball. But Raizen did not give him time he appeared above son Goku's head and with a spin in mid air he kicked him to the ground. The impact made the landscape change. Son Goku hesitated. He felt Raizen was growing stronger as the fight continued.
For a moment beast and man locked eyes and then with a snort the Four Tails withdrew, retreating deep into Rokuro's body. The Jinchuriki fell back exhausted and defeated.
Raizen turned to Ishikawa who was coughing blood battered but still standing. The First Tsuchikage's eyes were filled with rage. But his body trembled under the strain.
They faced each other no more tricks no more allies. Just two shinobi.
Ishikawa launched a volley of Stone Spikes while forming hand signs for Earth Dragon Bullet. Raizen advanced slowly his Armament Haki coating his arms black.
The earth around Raizen exploded under the Jutsu but he endured it all. With Observation Haki, he saw every movement, every attack.
He dashed forward.
A solid punch with Haki cracked Ishikawa's shoulder guard.
The Tsuchikage fought back with Stone Golem Fist but Raizen blocked it with one arm and retaliated with a brutal Tekken enhanced kick sending Ishikawa skidding back.
Both were breathing heavily but one had reached his limit.
Ishikawa tried one final Dust Release but his hands trembled. Chakra fizzled. The light in his eyes dimmed.
Raizen walked forward silently.
In one fluid motion, he grabbed Ishikawa by the neck and lifted him off the ground.
Ishikawa: "You… Monster...."
Raizen: "Monster? Maybe I am."
Ishikawa's legs kicked weakly in the air.
Raizen: "Konoha will always stand at the Top."
A moment later—crack.
With a precise twist, Raizen broke the Tsuchikage's neck.
The battlefield fell completely silent. The symbol of Iwagakure's might… was no more.
