Chapter 2 - Heaven

"Warmth, pain, touch, feel – it's all here." I wondered how a place lit up by a shattered moon would feel. Cold? Warm? A real question for the ages.

ITS COLD AS FUCK....who the hell thought it was a good idea to light up the day with a moon, like sure it looks cool but it's a cosmic joke for fuck's sake. I mean those assholes could've at least programmed me a jacket. Aaaah... I hate my life... Sniff sniff.

Any way, back to the game analysis. It follows some of the rules as the one me and Elly used to play, but it was a Stickman game, so they had to fill in the gaps. For example, you can't expect a person to have the kind of mobility video game characters do, so they made the gravity here less than the one on earth to allow us to move around better – although, I guess this hellhole is technically still earth, so that was a bad way of wording it.

As for my memories, they're mostly fine for now, but they glitch when I try to remember certain things. For example, the date – I don't know what year it's supposed to be right now. I'd like to say we're somewhere around 2060, though, but I guess it figures since these people are out to fuck me up. My memories also glitch when... well, not just glitch, I guess. Sometimes it rewrites too, which I assume happens when I'm getting close to the truth.

When I noticed this, I unraveled my bandages and scribbled notes into my own skin. I try not to view them for now, as my memories could be altered if I learn too much. Some other stuff that triggers the glitch are my parents' death, the strange woman who waved at me back at the facility, and just basically the events of today in general. I'm also curious about who me and Elly met back at the line outside the facility – I have some guesses, though.

Any way, back to the game. I noticed I have the same play card as the one I used to battle Elly with, which makes me wonder if it's a coincidence or if that was an implanted memory. Another thing is the health bar, and quite frankly, this is where things start to get scary. I've been scribbling notes with broken glass on my hand ever since I got here, yet it hasn't dropped by a single percent.

Now that I think about it, the game was like that too – no matter what horrific things happened to your avatar, the health never dropped unless it was hit by the opponent's weapon. That's just messed up when you think about it, and this time, I'm the avatar. Explosions, boiling, impaling, falling from a building... they all won't kill me.....yay I guess

[Good morning, player 255]

a robotic voice was calling out to me from inside my head. [Welcome to END; stage one shall begin soon.]

I wanted to ask for answers, but it was clear that it was merely a programmed voice. The answers I needed would have to wait.

[Your first challenge: win 100 duels against your opponent to advance.]

100? Did they mean I'd have to kill him 100 times? Yes! ... I mean, or is it whoever wins more out of 100? I stared at my red glowing play card – the Card had has 3 modes: red, purple, and green. The red one activated when you tossed it and exploded after making contact with something solid, while the purple...

[The winner of the game will attain this world and all that's in it]

the stupid robot cut me off. [Precisely, you will attain heaven or create your own] What did that mean? Heaven? He's right, this place is programmable and feels just like the real world, you could create it.... Heaven

"Wait, what did you mean by heaven?" I knew it was programmed and wouldn't answer, but I couldn't resist.

READY..... FIGHT!

"Ready," "Fight." The same words I found so fun before became the beaconing statement to my suffering.

I had been walking the entire time trying to get a better layout of the situation, I had made it to the base of the giant robots. They were even more majestic up close, they had to be about 1000 feet atleast, they dwarfed the sky scrapers I knew back in New York. Now that I think about it they must be the hidden.. Well.. not so hidden Titans for this area of the game.. Will they ever be unfrozen I wonder.

Suddenly the air grew colder and smell of wet sand and gasoline grew stronger.

Beep Beep

That kinda sounds like.... Its coming from the alley,

Was someone else here? . I turned to see a yellow-eyed beast staring at me from the darkness. No, those weren't eyes – they were headlights... A fucking car? Are you kidding me?
