Daniel fled the building in a rush, colliding with an unexpected figure. His heart skipped a beat as he took in the sight before him - not an alpha wolf, but a human girl. Her sudden appearance in this isolated location caught him off guard, his eyes widening in surprise.
A surge of painful memories flooded Daniel's mind - the brutal torture and cold-blooded murder of his friend Kai, all at the hands of humans. The horrific videos played out in his head, darkening his heart. However, he quickly snapped out of it and dashed past the girl without a second glance.
He knew Kai was immortal, yet that didn't prevent the memory of his friend's suffering from haunting him. The council's refusal to let him become the next sacrifice to spare Kai only added to his burden. It weighed heavily on his mind and shoulders.
(In his mind).
"Why won't they let me take his place?"
(Out of his mind).
Hot tears pricked at the corners of Daniel's eyes as he buried his face in his hands, his once-perky cat ears flattening against his head in a sign of his despair. The weight of his failure to protect Kai crushed down upon him, leaving him feeling utterly powerless and defeated.
(At The Higher UwU Cat Council).
She spoke with a calm voice that of her words.
The Human Woman: "An alpha wolf went to kill a bunch of humans for the sacrifice."
Her eyes remained fixed on the Uwu cat higher ups who stood cloaked in darkness.
The Uwu Cat Higher Up: "Yes, we've seen the footage."
One of the Uwu cat higher-ups responded calmly from the shadows.
The Uwu Cat Higher Up: "However, this alpha wolf business isn't our concern. From what we've observed, the sacrifice hasn't put up any resistance."
His tone implied that the situation didn't warrant their intervention. His eyes burned with a dark, almost demonic red glow as he fixed his hateful gaze on the female human. Every fiber of his being radiated pure, unadulterated loathing. Internal thought of one of the Uwu cat higher-ups, observing the scene from the shadows.
The Human Woman: "You're absolutely right."
She agreed, her voice eerily calm despite the seething hatred that filled her gaze as she stared them down.
The Human Woman: "This is the alpha wolves' problem, not yours. So, there will be no war – not for you, but for the alpha wolves alone."
She turned on her heel without another word, her long black hair swishing behind her as she strode purposefully towards the exit. Her every movement radiated quiet menace and unspoken threats. The Uwu cat higher-ups watched her go in silence, sensing that she was far more dangerous than they had initially thought.
(In her mind).
"I should've snapped that boy's neck when I bumped into him."
She thought bitterly, recalling the collision.
"Such a worthless piece of trash. He doesn't deserve to take up space on this Earth."
Her expression darkened with uncharacteristic cruelty.
(Out of her mind).
(At Kai's House).
Sai gazed down sadly, the weight of his actions settling heavily upon his shoulders. He realized that his foolish decision might not only endanger Kai but also put his entire clan in grave danger. The humans and other creatures would stop at nothing to eliminate him and his kin.
Kai: "You should go."
He whispered through his tears, looking up at Sai with heartbreaking sadness in his eyes.
Kai: "I'm sure your father is waiting for you to return."
His voice trembled with emotion as he tried to be strong for Sai.
Sai: "I'll be right back soon."
He murmured, leaning in to press a soft kiss against Kai's trembling lips. Despite feeling Kai's warmth and the familiar comfort of his embrace, Sai was completely consumed by terror – the thought of leaving Kai behind and facing the consequences of his actions filled him with dread.
Kai: "Just come back..."
He whimpered softly, his eyes welling up with tears. He watched Sai put on his jacket, his shoulders stiffening with unspoken tension.
Kai: "You promise you'll come back?"
He asked softly, his voice barely audible. The thought of losing Sai made his chest ache terribly.
Sai: "I always come back to you."
He whispered reassuringly, his voice filled with conviction. He looked back at Kai one last time before turning towards the door, his smile warm but tinged with sadness.
Sai: "No matter what happens."
The door closed behind him with a soft click.
(Two Hours Later at the Alpha Wolf Village).
Sai's heart pounding wildly in his chest as he took in the horrifying scene before him. The village was reduced to ruins, the air thick with the scent of blood and smoke. He rushed towards his father's house, hope fading with each step as he saw it destroyed beyond recognition.
Sai: No...
His chest tightened painfully as he took in the sight of his fallen kin – children who would never grow old, elders who had lived through countless seasons, warriors who had fallen trying to protect their home. Tears streamed down Sai's face unchecked as he dropped to his knees amidst the carnage.
Sai's tears blurred his vision as he knelt amidst the devastation. Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching from behind. He turned slowly, his heart pounding in his chest as he saw an alpha wolf standing there. The wolf was similar to him in stature, but something was distinctly off.
The alpha wolf before him was not one of his own, his eyes glinted with a cold, unfamiliar light. Most telling was the sword in his hand – a blade unlike any the village had ever seen, stained with fresh blood that dripped onto the ground.
The stranger alpha's voice was smooth as silk but deadly as venom.
Adrian: "I've been waiting for one of your kind to make a mistake."
His twisted smile revealed sharp teeth as he raised his bloodied sword high.
Adrian: "You freaks have killed humans. Now it's time for you to pay."
Sai's heart turned to ice at the alpha wolf's words and twisted smile. He stood up slowly, his own sword extending instinctively as he faced the enemy who had destroyed his home and family. The other alpha's sword gleamed menacingly under the moonlight filtering through the ruined village roofs.
The deadly blade poised in his hand faltered as a sword burst through the alpha's chest from behind. Sai's eyes widened in shock as his brother Dai stepped into view, accompanied by a few other surviving warriors from their village. The enemy alpha crumpled to the ground, lifeless.
Sai: "Dai! You're alive!"
He exclaimed, relief flooding through him. But the smile on Dai's face told him all he needed to know.
Sai: "And Father?"
He asked urgently, hoping against hope. Dai's smile widened, confirming their father's survival.
Dai: "Father is alive,"
He confirmed, his smile mirroring Sai's relief. He stepped forward and embraced Sai tightly, his voice filled with emotion.
Dai: "We were hiding in the tunnels beneath the village. Father knew this might happen."
He gestured towards the few remaining warriors standing behind him.
As Dai stood there, he heard footsteps approaching from behind. He turned to see his friend Aaron, holding the severed head of what appeared to be a cat girl—human-like in form but with distinct cat ears and vibrant blue hair.
Aaron tossed the cat girl's head onto the ground with a cold, calculated precision.
Aaron: "These creatures have powers that could easily kill us."
He said calmly, turning to Sai and Dai and the others.
Aaron: "But I've been practicing dark arts—this is nothing to me. They showed up so fast because they can teleport."
A twisted smile spread across Aaron's face as he remembered the cat girl appearing suddenly before him, punching him with a knife that refused to penetrate his skin. He focused his power, and with a sickening crunch, he tore her head off, the lifeless body collapsing to the ground.
Aaron's words sent a chill down Sai's spine. He knew of the dark arts, forbidden magic that could grant immense power but at a terrible cost. If Aaron was practicing it, he must be desperate indeed.
Sai: "Teleportation?"
He repeated, his mind racing with the implications.
Sai: "How many are left?"
Dai: "Let's go,"
He said firmly, breaking the grim silence that had fallen over them. Sai nodded grimly, his mind already racing with plans for their next move. They couldn't stay here; the enemy would be back soon with reinforcements.
(At the Uwu Cat Village at the park).
Daniel: "Sorry Kai..."
He stared at the park, his mind drifting to memories of Kai, Andrey, and himself having fun together. He continued to wonder what criteria the council had used to choose Kai. Tears silently streamed down Daniel's face as he realized there was nothing he could do to protect Kai. The weight of his powerlessness crushed him. He heard footsteps behind him, and there stood Kai, his face etched with fear.
Daniel: "Is something wrong, Kai?"
He asked, noticing that Kai was crying.
Kai: "I just wanted some fresh air,"
He said sadly, looking down. He hadn't expected Daniel to be at the park too, so he sat down next to him.
Kai: "He stopped the video when I was about to get tortured... He killed a couple of humans. It's my fault I didn't know he'd be there..."
His words trailed off as tears streamed down his face.
Daniel: "Sai stopped the video..."
His eyes widened as he realized that Sai had more courage than him but was also shocked by the consequences of that action.
Kai: "I'm scared,"
He said, his voice trembling.
Kai: "What if the humans and the others try to kill Sai? My heart can't take it."
He burst into tears.
Daniel: "That won't happen, Kai."
He said reassuringly.
Daniel: "Since Sai loves you, he always will. Of course, he's going to keep fighting for you."
He says it with a warm smile.
(At The Higher UwU Cat Council).
First Male Uwu Cat Higher Up: "The humans are truly annoying. Why don't we just construct a massive wall that shields everyone from their presence?"
Second Male Uwu Cat Higher Up: "It's pointless to build a wall when these humans can teleport. They would easily infiltrate and slaughter us."
Third Male Uwu Cat Higher Up: "One of Kai's friends told me that he desired to become the next sacrifice."
He recalled his conversation with Daniel.
First Female Uwu Cat Higher Up: "We are left with no alternative but to provide two sacrifices—to satisfy the demands of both the humans and the other creatures."
Third Male Uwu Cat Higher Up: "So it's decided then Daniel will also achieve immortality."
