(Mew along with her friends are now walking on the open road as they continue their journey to Vermilion City.)
(Their group has gotten bigger because they not only rescued an Abandoned Charmander, but all the Pokemon who have been treated badly by their previous trainer.)
(As they walk down the road, Mew notices that a bit of the road feels like it's being pushed down.)
(Mew holds out her arm in front of her friends.)
Mew: "Hold on."
(The group stop in their tracks.)
Misty: "What is it, Mew?"
(Misty asks.)
Mew: "This part of the road doesn't feel right."
(Mew says.)
[Suddenly...]
(the ground gives weight and they all fall down into the hole.)
(Misty complains.)
Misty: "No! Not another hole!"
Brock: "Ow! I landed on my head!"
(Brock shouts.)
(Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee groan in pain.)
Mew: "Who on earth will build a pit trap in the middle of the road?"
(Mew questions.)
Brock: "It must be a prank,"
(Brock says.)
Misty: "Someone has a bad sense of humor."
(Misty adds.)
Mew: "Who would play such a rotten trick? Besides Team Rocket."
(Mew questions.)
[Suddenly...]
(five small Pokemon stick their head from above the hole and begin laughing.)
(They are small light blue turtle Pokemon with short legs, with a shell, brown on top and yellow on the bottom.)
(All of them are wearing sunglasses though the rest around round one is triangular.)
(What's more, they're laughing at Mew and her friends.)
Brock: "Who are you?!"
(Brock demands.)
Misty: "What's so funny? We could have been hurt!"
(Misty says.)
(The Pokemon continue to laugh.)
(Mew is the first to climb out of the hole.)
Mew: "Dangerous practical jokes are nothing to laugh about!"
(On her back are Eevee and Pikachu.)
Pikachu: "Pikachu!" (I agree!)
(Pikachu says.)
Eevee: "Eevee Eevee!" (That wasn't very nice you know!)
(Eevee adds.)
(Brock and Misty climb out as well.)
(There they see the five turtle Pokémon laughing at them for the joke they pull.)
(Mew says.)
Mew: "Those are Squirtle's."
(Mew brings out her Pokedex and Dexter says.)
Dexter: "Squirtle, the Tiny Turtle Pokemon. A Water Type. It draws its long neck into its shell to launch incredible water attacks with amazing range and accuracy. The blasts can be quite powerful."
Mew: "And those Squirtle aren't being very nice."
(Mew says.)
(Then calls out.)
Mew: "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
(Pikachu then launches a Thunderbolt.)
(Shocking, one of the Squirtle takes the zap for its leader and falls to the ground.)
(The Leader Squirtle turns to his comrade.)
Leader Squirtle: "Squirtle Squirtle?" (Are you okay?)
[Soon...]
(Pikachu, Eevee, and Squirtle are staring down at each other, almost like the old west.)
(They each wait for which to make the next move.)
(Suddenly, they begin to hear police sirens in the distance.)
(The Leader Squirtle turns to his gang.)
Leader Squirtle: "Squirtle Squirtle! Squirtle Squirtle Squirtle!" (It's the cops! Let's retreat for now!)
(The Squirtles pick up their injured comrade and runs away at full speed.)
Mew: "That was sure weird."
(Mew says.)
(The group look to see the source of the siren is Officer Jenny on a motorbike.)
(Jenny asks.)
Officer Jenny: "Are you guys alright? Has anyone been hurt here?"
Mew: "Officer Jenny!"
(Mew says.)
(Confused Jenny asks.)
Officer Jenny: "Huh? Have we met before? Your faces don't look familiar."
Mew: "Are you Officer Jenny of Viridian City or Cerulean City or another relative?"
(Mew asks.)
Officer Jenny: "I am sure, the ones you met are my cousins."
(Jenny says.)
Mew: "Cousins?"
(Mew says, confused.)
Officer Jenny: "My cousins are all police officers, all of us look identical, plus we're all named Jenny."
(Jenny says.)
(Mew can imagine a photograph of a lot of Jennys who look exactly the same.)
Mew: "Talk about family resemblance."
(Mew says.)
Misty: "At least they remember all their names."
(Misty replies.)
(Soon, Mew and her friends arrive at the Police Center and explains to her what happened and how they meet the Gang of Squirtle's.)
Officer Jenny: "That Pokemon gang calls itself the Squirtle Squad."
(Jenny says.)
Mew: "Squirtle Squad?"
(Mew says.)
Misty: "I've never heard of a Pokemon gang."
(Misty says, sounding surprised.)
Officer Jenny: "They're all Squirtle's who were deserted by their trainers."
(Jenny says.)
Mew: "Deserted?"
(Mew asks, feeling concern.)
Officer Jenny: "They don't have a trainer so they just run wild and play tricks on the whole town. It's really kind of sad because if they had somebody to care about them, they wouldn't have turned out to be as bad as they are. It's a real shame."
(Jenny explains.)
(Mew feels sad for the Squirtle.)
(It's like what happened to Bulbasaur and Charmander.)
(They've been abandoned by their trainers for different reasons.)
[Later on...]
(Mew and her friends arrive at a lake so they can rest.)
(Brock is laying on the grass while Pikachu and Eevee are resting.)
(Misty is also doing some fishing in the river.)
(Mew feels a little sad as she has her hands on her cheeks and her elbows on her knees.)
(She lets out a sad sigh.)
(Misty turns to Mew and asks.)
Misty: "What's wrong, Mew?"
Mew: "I feel bad about the Squirtle Squad. The only reason why they were playing those tricks was because they felt that they can't trust humans. Not after what their former trainers did."
(Mew says.)
Misty: "Yeah. It's very sad. Kind of makes me wish we could catch the Squirtle's and raise them myself."
(Misty says.)
Mew: "I was thinking the same thing, but it might not be easy to get near the Squirtle Squad since they don't seem to trust humans, and we don't even know where to find them."
(Mew says.)
Brock: "I'm sure we'll find them somehow."
(Brock says.)
(As Misty is fishing at the lake, one of the Squirtle Squad members pops its head out of the water.)
(Misty thinks she catches it.)
Misty: "I caught something!"
(Pikachu, Eevee, and Mew look to see one of the Squirtle's that fires a Water Gun at them.)
(Then laughs at them.)
(Soaked, Misty says.)
Misty: "I'm soaked!"
Mew: "Me too,"
(Mew replies.)
(Pikachu then runs forward and gives an electric shock at the Squirtle.)
(However, because Mew and the others are wet, water conducts electricity.)
(And so, Mew and the others are shocked too.)
(Mew screams.)
Mew: "Knock it off, Pikachu!"
(Pikachu stops to see his little accident.)
(Then the group falls to the ground.)
Brock: "Wet clothes conduct electricity."
(Brock says.)
(Squirtle continues to laugh and jumps out of the water, and on the road.)
(Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee stand in front of the Squirtle.)
Mew: "Alright we've had enough of your pranks, Squirtle!"
(Mew says.)
(Then calls out.)
Mew: "Let's get it, Pikachu."
Pikachu: "Pika!" ("!")
(Pikachu says and charges.)
(Squirtle suddenly jumps up and ducks its head into its shell.)
(Then begins to start spinning and towards Pikachu.)
(Mew panics.)
Mew: "Pikachu, look out! It's the Rapid Spin attack!"
(The attack strikes at Pikachu, and Pikachu falls into the water.)
Mew: "Pikachu!"
(Mew panics.)
(Pikachu is able to swim up to the surface.)
(Suddenly, Goldeen appears.)
(Misty panics.)
Misty: "Oh! It's a Goldeen! Watch out for its horn!"
(Pikachu swims up to the surface to see the Goldeen.)
Mew: "Swim to shore Pikachu! Hurry up!"
(Mew calls out.)
(Pikachu then begins to swim as fast as he can.)
Mew: "Faster! Faster!"
(Mew calls out.)
(Pikachu continues to swim as fast as it, but not enough to get away from the Goldeen.)
(Eevee then rushes to the water and performs the Iron Tail at the Iron Horn.)
(The horn is proven to be strong enough that it knocks Eevee down and on to land.)
(Then it does the same to Pikachu.)
Mew: "Pikachu! Eevee!"
(Mew exclaims.)
(She then rushes to Pikachu and Eevee, and picks them up in her arms.)
(Suddenly, she ends up getting caught by a lasso.)
(She turns her head to see Brock and Misty have also been caught.)
Mew: "They got us!"
(Mew says, shocked.)
