When I woke up I had a terrible headache. Like I was just hungover.
"Uuugh! What happened? Where am I?"
I sat up and looked around.
"Oh, so it wasn't a dream. I really was reincarnated."
I looked up at the sky and it seemed like it was sunrise.
"What happened yesterday was crazy.
"First I find I've been reborn, then this huge dragon says I'm like some incarnation of a True Dragon.
"Then he dies I get a splitting headache and some voice in my head telling me I got some skill or whatever.
"Aaannd! I pass out foaming at the mouth!"
I slump back down and lie there. That is until I hear a rumbling from my stomach.
*grrrummmbbllee*
"Great and now I'm hungry. How the hell am I suppose to find food in this pit of lava!"
I turn to look at the broken pieces of my egg.
"I heard that some lizards eat their shells when they're born..."
I scoot towards the shells and grab one and stuff it in my mouth.
"Hmm, ish shnot bad... At leasht the shticky shtuff makesh ish shalty."
I said as I munch on the shell. Then I ate the rest of them and was full.
"Aah now that I'm fed, let's start getting used to this new body!"
I tried to stand up on my four legs and fell on my side.
The second attempt, I was able to stand up. Albeit a little wobbly.
And when I tried taking a step, I fell face first on the ground.
"Walking on four legs is hard. Especially when my legs bend backwards"
It felt weird having to straighten all my legs. And having my tail trip me half the time
After what felt like an eternity, I was able to walk without falling!
"Grraaaahh!"
I roared in victory! Which only came out as a shrill cry.
"Next I gotta figure out a way out of here."
I walked along the Lana's edger all around the pool. Until I came back to where I started.
"Well, there's no other way of saying this. I'm stuck."
All around the pool of lava were steep cliffs with nowhere to climb.
"Who the hell takes their kid somewhere they can't get our off?!"
I kicked the dead dragon corpse until I suddenly got a flash of a memory.
I remember bringing my egg to the volcano at the top of the mountain to protect it from those who would steal it.
Then I set up a magic barrier to keep trespassers out.
When the memory faded, I sat with a blank stare.
"So that's how I can access those memories."
As I thought about this I suddenly remembered something.
"Wait, didn't I hear something about a skill before I passed out?"
And then I remembered a robotic voice telling me I aquired a skill called [Pain Resistance].
"Yeah, and I heur say something before I got that headache."
I kept thinking until the realization struck me.
"Does that mean there's skills in this world?! Like in RPGs?!
A thousands of memories about skills, levels, abilities, classes, and more appeared in my mind.
After I digested them all, I was super pumped.
"Hell yeah! Not only am I a super OP dragon, but I can level up and gain awesome skills!
I started jumping around until I calmed down.
"Okay, so the next skill I should get is appraisal. It's super useful and can help me out a lot.
The looked down at my claw and stared at it intensely while remembering how the skill worked and how to obtain it.
"Hmmmmm!"

"Yess! Finally! Even though it took me an hour to get it, I finally got appraisal!"
I jumped for joy at my accomplishment.
"Ahem anyway, let's try this new skill out!"
I turned to look at a rock by the lava pool.

Then suddenly a bunch of information appeared in front of me.

I was caught off guard by my grumbling stomach.
"I really need to get out of here and get some food."
