Chapter 19 - Vol 1 Final Chapter: The Moment We’ve Waited For

Volume 2 will be out on 1st July 2025

---

Several weeks later The semester was winding down, and with it came a restless energy that wrapped itself around campus like a buzz of anticipation. The air smelled of rain and autumn leaves, and the late afternoons were tinged with a bittersweet glow — the kind that only happens when something beautiful is about to end.

Kol walked across the campus quad, his hands shoved deep in his jacket pockets, the chill pressing against his skin. He looked up and saw Sara waiting by their usual bench under the big oak tree — the one where so many quiet conversations had happened, where their friendship had quietly blossomed and strained under the weight of unspoken feelings.

She looked up as he approached, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips, but her eyes held that same mix of hesitation and yearning Kol had come to know so well.

"Hey," he said softly, voice low enough that only she could hear.

"Hey," she replied, shifting slightly on the bench.

They sat in silence for a moment, the space between them charged with years of shared memories, laughter, and the tension of things left unsaid.

---

Around them, the world went on — students laughing, the rustle of pages turning in books, Nate and Jess calling out from across the lawn with their usual antics.

But for Kol and Sara, time seemed to slow, each heartbeat loud and deliberate.

Kol swallowed the lump in his throat and broke the silence.

"I've been thinking about us," he said, fingers twitching against his knee.

Sara's eyes lifted to meet his, her breath catching.

"I know. Me too."

He reached out, tentatively brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear — the familiar motion suddenly electric.

"We've been so scared," Kol whispered, voice cracking slightly, "but I don't want to be scared anymore."

Sara's cheeks flushed, and she nodded.

"Neither do I."

Their gazes locked, words unnecessary now — the moment waiting to ignite between them.

---

Drama and Chaos Unfold

But just then, the campus security officer approached briskly.

"Excuse me, students. You need to clear the benches for maintenance."

Kol and Sara exchanged a brief frustrated glance but stood obediently.

As they gathered their things, Nate suddenly appeared, grinning mischievously.

"Alright lovebirds, enough hiding! Jess and I are throwing a little farewell party tonight. Everyone's invited."

Sara rolled her eyes but smiled.

"You always know how to crash our serious moments."

Nate laughed. "Hey, what are friends for?"

---

That evening, the dorm buzzed with excitement. Lina and Aarav arrived together, fingers entwined, their smiles brighter than ever.

"Feels like forever since we've all been in one place," Lina said, looking around the room filled with friends, laughter, and warmth.

Aarav nodded, squeezing her hand gently.

"Tonight's going to be memorable."

---

The party was loud, colorful, filled with music and the carefree chaos of youth. But beneath the surface, the tension simmered.

Kol found himself near the window, watching Sara dance with a carefree smile. The way the light caught her hair, the way she moved — it was intoxicating.

Sara caught his gaze and smiled, but then a playful shove from Jess pulled her away.

Kol's heart raced as he followed her outside into the cooler night air.

---

Outside, the world felt quieter — a private bubble away from the party noise.

Sara leaned against the brick wall, breath shallow.

"Kol… I don't want this to end without knowing…"

Kol stepped closer, the space between them crackling with heat.

"Me neither."

Their hands found each other, fingers interlacing.

Kol's voice was a whisper, rough with emotion.

"I've wanted to do this for so long."

Before Sara could answer, Kol closed the distance. Their lips met in a soft, tentative kiss that deepened with the weight of months spent denying their feelings.

Time seemed to stretch and then collapse into the single, perfect moment.

They pulled back slightly, breathless, foreheads resting together.

"I love you, Sara."

Her smile was radiant, tears shining.

"I love you too, Kol."

---

Meanwhile, Lina and Aarav's Moment

Inside, Lina and Aarav stole away from the crowd, finding a quiet corner.

Lina looked up at Aarav, heart pounding.

"Do you remember the first time we really talked? How scared I was to admit anything?"

Aarav smiled, brushing a strand of hair from her face.

"I do. But I'm glad you did."

Their lips met in a gentle kiss — warm, sure, and full of promise.

---

Back outside, Kol and Sara embraced, the world fading away until only the two of them existed.

They laughed softly, hearts soaring, knowing this was only the beginning — the start of something real.

---

The Epilogue

Weeks later, the campus was quieter, the semester officially over.

Kol and Sara walked hand in hand beneath the same oak tree, their smiles effortless and bright.

Lina and Aarav joined them, laughter echoing across the quad.

Friendship, love, and all the messy, beautiful moments in between had brought them here.

No more denial, no more fear — only the promise of tomorrow.

The end? No Because you know what happens when silence breaks? Love blooms!!
