"IT HURTS! GET OFF ME, YOU VAMPIRE!" Souta screamed as he tried to push the girl off himself.
The girl pulled away from his neck and looked into his eyes, a stoic look on her face. "Don't move, or else it will hurt, human." She said, her voice emotionless. She then dug her fangs back into his neck, feeding herself on his blood.
"Of course she speaks English and not Japanese!" Souta groaned in fear and frustration, but decided to stop resisting and accepted his fate, which was being a vampire snack.
He stared at the wooden ceiling in defeat. "I should have listened to you, Renji... Sorry Mom... Sorry, Sora..."
His eyes flicked to the girl's silver hair. "To think that I'd die in such a way...! For your whole life, you are taught that vampires are fiction, and then I get killed by one! What is that supposed to be, huh?! I can't even win once in anything before dying?!"
"No... I can't die angry... I need to calm down." He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, waiting until the vampire sucks all of his life out.
The girl got off of him and stood up. She looked down at him, her stoic expression showing no signs of anything. She just stared.
As Souta felt the weight fade from his body, he was sure that he had died. "So this is what death looks like, huh?" He said calmly, his eyes still closed.
The girl nudged his cheek with her shoe, not understanding anything that Souta had said. "Are you okay, human?"
Souta opened his eyes and looked at the girl.
"Huh?"
He touched the place where she bit him, confused why she didn't finish the job. He sat up, looked up into her crimson eyes, and spoke in English. "Why didn't you kill me?"
The girl's expression remained emotionless. "Why would I kill you, human? It's unethical."
A smug look appeared on Souta's face as he looked her up and down. "Uhh... You obviously are a vampire."
"Are you insulting me, human? A vampire is a vampire. We are not some uncivilized beasts like you humans think." She looked around the room and spotted the camera, which Souta dropped when she tackled him to the ground. She took a step towards the camera and picked it up, examining it as if it were some alien device in her eyes.
"What is that..." She tried to come up with a name, but failed miserably. "Weird thing?" She asked.
There was still some fear lingering in Souta, but he managed to gather all his courage and got onto his legs, walking over to her. "That's a camera." He carefully took it away from her, trying his best not to touch her.
"A camera? What does a camera do?" The girl asked.
Souta smirked. "Are you sure that you aren't some kind of caveman?" He teased, forgetting who he was talking to.
The girl just stood in place, looking Souta up and down. "Not to mention that device, you are dressed up in a weird way as well."
Suddenly, the camera flashed the girl's eyes, and a photo was taken with the device.
The girl closed her eyes and turned her face away from him.
Souta took the photo and gave it to the girl. "This is what you use a camera for." He shrugged. "I mean, you can also record something like I was..."
The girl looked down at the photo, her expression remained stoic. "What kind of sorcery is it?" She looked at Souta. "Human. What's your Master's name?"
Souta frowned and took a step back towards the door, still unsure whether he should just run away.
"For the love of God! I am no one's slave or apprentice! We live in the 21st century! in 2025!" He groaned.
The girl looked around at all the wine crates and the coffin she was lying in. "What do you mean by '2025', human? It's 1525." She said, thinking that Souta is delusional.
"We are in a shipwreck. It is really the year 2025, but if you're certain that you were living in 1525, then it must mean..." Souta's eyes widened in disbelief, tho not as much as when he found out that vampires exist.
"I was frozen in that coffin for 500 years?" She asked calmly, not showing any signs of emotion.
"That you're slow in the head!" Souta smirked.
The girl gave him a cold look and took a step closer. "Do you want me to suck all your life out, human?" She said coldly.
Souta smiled awkwardly and waved his hands in front of her. "Just kidding! Chill out!"
He then sighed, slowly walking back to the door. "Hey, do you see that?" He pointed at the wall on the other side of the room.
"Hm?" The girl looked in the direction he was pointing.
Souta squeezed himself into the gap and closed it afterward. He ran out of the shipwreck as fast as he could.
He ran, ran, and ran until he had no stamina left.
He grabbed his knees and panted loudly, trying to catch some oxygen. "Oh my god! I've never been so scared in my entire life! I thought she was gonna kill me!"
But the girl was already standing in front of him with her arms crossed above her chest. "Did you really think you'll run away from a vampire?" She raised a brow.
Hearing her voice so close to him, Souta died. He looked at her with terror and disbelief. "S-Stop chasing me! Just let me go!" He screamed with all the strength he had, but his exhaustion heavily lowered the loudness of his voice.
The girl looked around herself. Her eyes flicked between all the lights, cars passing by, and the city that was not so far away from them.
"Why would I let you go, human? Your blood is better than anything I have ever tasted." She said calmly. "In fact, you should be proud of yourself that you were chosen to be my bloodbag."
"I can't believe this... You were asleep for an entire era. You are in an unknown time, on an unknown land, and you don't know the language. You've lost all your family and belongings. And yet you don't look like you give a single shit!" Souta yelled at her.
The girl walked up to him and looked him straight in the eyes. "Human. I feel no emotion whatsoever. I don't care whether anyone is suffering as long as their suffering doesn't cause anything negative to me. That's why, you either accept being my bloodbag and show me the whole new world, teach me the language, feed me every single day, or else I'll suck the life out of every person living in this city, understood.
Souta's legs began shaking as he stumbled backward. He wanted to run away, to fight back, yet he knew it would be futile as she's on a whole different level of existence.
"It's either me or the whole city... Renji, Mom, Sora, and others... I can't sacrifice them to run away... I need to stop running." Souta thought to himself.
He then looked up into the girl's eyes. "Fine... I accept your deal, but you need to promise me something..."
The girl nodded. "Very well then. That sounds fair. State your condition, human." She offered him her hand.
"You need to promise that you won't hurt my loved ones." He said, determined, reaching his hand towards hers.
The girl shook his hand softly. "Very well then, Human. You can count on my word, as vampires always follow their promises before anything else."
She then pulled her hand away and gracefully raised the ends of her dress, bowing her head slightly. "I am Princess Selene Virelle. What about you, human?"
Souta clicked his tongue and looked away. "Aokami Souta."
The girl nodded and clapped her hands together, tho her expression remained stoic. "I'm looking forward to learn everything from you, human."
She then looked at the city lights. "Let's start with something to eat. I want to see how much the gastronomy has improved, when there exist magical boxes that can trap a moment in time on paper."

They were in a fast food restaurant. Selene stared at the burger that was on her plate. She poked and sniffed it a couple of times. "Is this some kind of sandwich?" She asked.
Souta also had a burger on his plate. "Yeah! You just grab it and bite into it!" He said his stomach grumbled. He took a bite of the burger and smiled in contentment.
Selene analyzed how Souta was eating the burger and grabbed the one from her plate.
She bit the burger and placed it back on the plate, chewing and swallowing the piece she bit off.
Souta looked at her curiously, wondering whether she liked it or not. "What do you think?"
Selene nodded, her expression remained stoic. "It's tasty. I like it."
She then poked the straw that was sticking out of a cup. "What is that?"
Souta laughed at her lack of common sense. "Pft... That thing is called a 'straw'. You need to suck on it to drink what's inside of the cup."
Selene stared at the straw and sucked onto it. Her eyes widened, and she immediately grabbed her head. "It's cold. Also, something's tickling my mouth, but a good tickle."
Without wasting a second, she pointed at the TV that was in the restaurant. "What is this? Another kind of magical device?"
Souta glanced at the TV she was pointing at and chuckled. "That's a TV."
"TV? I see people on it. What's it used for?"
"There are things called channels on the TV, and you can switch them. You can watch everything you want: Information Channels, Entertainment Channels, Sports Channels. Everything you want."
Selene nodded. "I see... back in my days, you needed to send a trained bird or a messenger to deliver a message."
Suddenly, a girl walked up to their table and stared at Selene, smiling widely.
"Hi! I thought that you looked amazing! Can I take a picture with you?" She asked kindly.
Selene looked at the girl and then looked at Souta. "Is this girl insulting me?"
Souta laughed at Selene's inability to understand Japanese. He looked at the girl. "I'm sorry. She doesn't speak Japanese." He smirked.
The girl raised a brow and smiled awkwardly. "Oh... That's... Uhmm... Can you translate what I asked for? I really want that picture!" She pleaded with him, putting her hands together as if she were praying.
Souta glanced back at Selene. "The girl finds you pretty and wants to take a picture with you." He said and raised a brow. "Do you want to?"
Selene looked at the girl. "Sure. I will take the picture, but just because you called me, weak human." She said calmly.
Souta looked at the girl. "She's saying that she will gladly take the picture with you."
The girl smiled widely. "Really?! Yay!" She pulled Selene out of her seat and gave her phone to Souta.
After he took the picture, the girl thanked him and left the restaurant.
Selene sat down by the table again, amazed by how fast it went.
She sighed. "Back in my days, we used to pose for hours if we wanted a painting for ourselves. Now it is so simple with those magical devices of yours."
"Oh yeah!" Souta looked around, making sure nobody was near. "Are there more vampires?"
Selene leaned her hands against her cheek. "I don't think so." She rolled her eyes. "I was the last female vampire back then."
He raised a brow. "So what? Couldn't the males interbreed with humans?"
Selene shook her head. "A female human body wouldn't withstand a vampire baby growing inside of her. Even if it were a half-blood, the pregnancy would kill both the female and the baby."
"So that means..." Souta said in relief.
"Yes. I am the last one of my kind. Whether vampires will appear again or not, it's only up to me. Up to the princess... No... Now I am the Queen." She sucked the straw again.
Suddenly, Souta's phone started buzzing in his pocket. "Must be Mom." He muttered under his nose and pulled the phone out, picking up the call.
"Where are you, Souta?! You told me that you'll be back home before 10, and it's already 11! You have school tomorrow, young man." A soft, but also furious voice called from the phone's speaker.
Selene leaned in closer and stared at the phone. "So this magical device has other uses? Humanity is amazing nowadays. Back in my day, they didn't even know how to properly brush their teeth." She whispered to herself.
Souta smiled awkwardly and rubbed the back of his head as he stared at Selene, not knowing what to tell his mother. "I know, Mom! It's just... uhh..." He looked around and spotted a policeman speaking on TV. "I met a foreigner with amnesia, and I can't just leave them alone in the middle of the night, no?"
The voice sighed. "Then walk them to the police station, and the police will find their family! It's that simple, Son!"
Selene leaned in even closer. "Souta. Is this magical device allowing you to talk with someone who's not here?" She pointed at his phone. "I also can hear the person you're talking to, tho I don't understand anything she says." She said calmly.
"Wait a second! I'm talking with my Mom!" Souta groaned, but he was happy because he could get rid of Selene thanks to his mother.
Souta's Mother's voice stopped as soon as she heard Selene's voice. "Is that a girl you're with, Son?" Her voice was suspiciously free of any anger whatsoever.
"Yeah, why?" Souta asked.
"Bring her home, Souta! We can't let a poor foreigner sleep and starve in a cold police station! It's cruel!"
Souta's hope crumbled to dust as he stared at the phone. "Huh? What do you mean, Mom?!" He demanded an answer.
The voice chuckled. "If you don't bring her to the house, then I won't let you in, son." She then hung up the call.
"Huh?!" Souta yelled in disbelief.
Selene watched him in silence as he tried calling his mother dozens of times, but every call was rejected by her.
"Did your mother say something that had enraged you, Souta?" Selene asked and finished the last bite of her burger.
Souta sighed and put his phone back into his pocket in defeat. "She told me to bring you home." He pinched the bridge of his nose in disbelief. "Just how lucky are you, vampire?!"
Selene shook her head. "You belong to me, Souta. If you left me somewhere and went home alone..." She coldly glared into his eyes. "I would find you and make my promise come true, because I don't like it when something that's mine disobeys."
Souta scowled and stood up, grabbing his bag in which had the camera and the flashlight along with some other things.
"Let's just go. I'm already tired." He rolled his eyes.
Selene nodded and wiped her mouth with a handkerchief like a true noble she was. "Yes. I couldn't agree more with you, human."
***
Selene was standing behind Souta, glancing around at the surroundings, memorizing every building as he knocked on the door.
Clad in her pajamas, Reina opened the door, wearing a wide and bright smile on her face despite the already late hour.
Souta gave her a smug look and walked into the house without saying anything.
Selene also walked in, and when Reina closed the door, she was immediately hugged by her.
"What a poor soul!" Reina said dramatically. "Alone, without any memories during the cold night!" She shook her head. "I couldn't let such a beautiful girl get into any danger!"
"Mom, she doesn't speak Japanese. She doesn't understand a word you're saying." Souta groaned.
Selene didn't hug her back; she just stared at Souta. "What did this female human say?"
Souta waved his hand. "It doesn't matter. She's dramatically overexaggerating everything."
Reina leaned away from the girl and smiled kindly. "I will go get her some of my old pajamas!" She chuckled and headed towards the stairs.
"What did she say?" Selene asked.
Souta had already taken his shoes and hoodie off. He looked at her. "That she will give you something to sleep in."
Selene bent over and took off her pair of shoes, looking around the house. "Your mansion is amazing, human."
"Is it? It's not even a mansion, but alright." Souta raised a brow.
"Not nearly as big as my was." She sat down on the couch, testing how soft it is. "But I could get used to it."
"Now that I mention getting used to something..." He looked at her firmly. "You are a vampire, you are dangerous. How long are you gonna be leeching off me and my family?"
Selene tilted her head to the side. "Oh? Didn't I tell you already?" She asked and leaned her chin against her hand, staring straight into his eyes. "I am not gonna leave you alone. There is something special about your blood that no other human has. You are mine, Souta. I will always be there." She said calmly.
A shiver ran down Souta's spine. Her voice or gestures weren't terrifying. It was the words she spoke and her tone, rid of any emotions, which he feared. He was terrified.
Reina walked into a living room, carrying folded cyan pajamas in her arms. She gave them to Selene and smiled softly. "Here you go, honey. I hope they'll fit you."
Souta shook himself out of the fear and looked at his mother. "I think that I have nothing to do here anymore. I'll go take a shower and go to bed."
Reina walked over to him and pinched his cheek softly, a playful smirk ran down her face. "Oh no, no, no, son~ The girl will sleep in your room."
Souta was dumbfounded by the ridiculousness of that statement. "What do you mean, Mom?!"
Reina shrugged in cheekily. "Selene-chan is still a stranger. We cannot leave her in the living room without any supervision, don't you think, Souta~?"
"Huuh?!" Souta yelled.
"Shhh!" Reina pressed her finger against his lips. "You'll wake Sora up, Souta!"
Souta raised a brow. "Oh yeah, forgot to ask... How is she?"
Reina smiled and nodded, proud of herself. "Well... She promised that she won't do anything like that ever again, but I still grounded her."
"Oh, I see..."
***
After taking a shower, Souta walked into his room right at the moment when Selene was changing into her pajamas.
She looked at him, wearing nothing but her Gothic lingerie, which perfectly clung to her body.
He stared at her, and she stared at him, both in silence.
"Nice boobs," Souta smirked and walked in, closing the door behind.
"Thank you." To Souta's surprise, instead of getting scolded, she just continued changing into the pajamas, not feeling any embarrassment whatsoever.
"Aren't you embarrassed, or angry?" He tried to keep himself from looking at her body. "I mean... you're in your underwear... if I can even call this underwear..."
Selene shook her head. "Why would I be getting embarrassed or angry at someone who saw me in my underwear? I know that my body may be arousing for males, and I am proud of that. My body is just a part of who I am."
After a moment, the lights were off, and they both were lying in Souta's bed, their backs pressed together under the blanket as they were fighting over who would get more of it.
"Don't cry, doing anything stupid while I'll be asleep, human," Selene said coldly.
"No way that I would ever do something to a vampire." He scowled.
Meanwhile, Reina stood in front of Souta's room, eavesdropping on them, excited that her son might finally do something.
