Chapter 2 - The Strange Boy With Power

Ren, Cami, Tayo, Maya, and Ford stayed silent in the carriage as they rode quietly back to their academy with their teacher, Professor Flameworth, a fire elementalist.

Ford was specifically quiet, still yet to overcome his near-death experience; he could have died if the fire conjured by that strange boy had hit him. But he still couldn't understand how such a young boy his age could be such a powerful elementalist.

He is not an early-stage evolver like him; he's probably a middle-stage evolver or even a high-stage one. Ford thought as he stared outside from the carriage window.

There are different elemental stages. The first stage is the evolver, which is when an elementalist has just formed their core, and they have four categories: the early, middle, high, and peak. The second stage is the Master, which is when the elementalist has mastered the wielding of their elements, either fire, water, wind, earth, or space.

The third stage is the grandmaster. This is the stage where the elementalist is in sync with the elementalist, so they can do so much with them.

The fourth stage is the Supreme stage where the elementalist is believed to be all mighty, having total dominion over their elements.

And the last stage is the god stage, which is a myth no one can say how strong a god is.

The carriage entered a grand gate where a vast land with different buildings stood. This is Stronghold, the oldest elementalist academy, founded by the Strongest elementalist alive, Lord BloodFire.

Ren, Cami, Maya, and Tayo are all students of Stronghold Academy. They are all fire elementals in the early stage of evolvers, except for Maya, who is a dual elementalist who is both a fire and earth elementalist, and she is a middle-stage evolver.

The carriage stopped in front of one of the buildings, on top of the building the word "Hostel" was written.

Flameworth turns to them, "You all should rest for today, I want you at the training ground first thing tomorrow morning. The journey to Valmor Bush shows you all have a lot to improve on."

"Yes, sir," The students replied gloomily. They knew tomorrow was going to be hell for them. They got out of the chariot and walked into the building, each to the direction of their rooms.

"Are we going to the Professor's district?" Asked the coachman.

"No, to the Director's office " replied Professor Flameworth. He had a lot to discuss with the director about that strange boy; he might have let them go, but he wasn't going to let the matter go. The boy was too powerful for his age.

"Yes, sir." The coachman clicks the fastened gives a voice command "Walk on!" and gently flicks the reins to signal movement.

The horses step into motion smoothly, as they make their way to the Director's office.

In a small carved back at Valmor Bush, Marie folded both her and her son's clothes into a worn leather bag hastily.

"Are we leaving again?" A voice came from behind, it belonged to Wales who was already used to their sudden change of location.

"Yes" Marie replied

"Why are we hiding from people?" Wales asked quietly, his tone more curious than accusing. "We always leave immediately when someone sees us"

Marie paused what she was doing and turned to her son, "It's not time for you to know yet," she said gently. "One day, I'll tell you everything. But for now…" She reached up, smoothing his thick hair. "For now, you need to train hard and get stronger"

Wales frowned, but he remained quiet, saying nothing. Soon Marie was done packing what she deems useful she grabbed Wales hand.

"Let go" she said.
