Chapter 14 - Chapter 14 - Blades of Twilight

"It's a dual blade." Malik couldn't help but contain his shock as Ryan removed the veil, revealing two shiny swords. One of the swords was purely black while the other was purely white. He quickly used his appraisal skill infused with the Eyes of Insight on them.

Flavor Text: Born from the Runic Crystal and Ryan's masterful touch, the dual swords are twin blades that dance between day and night. Wield them, CrimsonFlame, and let your enemies fall before the eternal cycle of fire and light.

"Dual swords... Twin blades... Secret Silver rank... Ryan, you've created a masterpiece."

"You praise me too much, BrotherCrimson. This is all due to your help."

"And the swords seem to have the fire affinity?"

"Yes... That's my affinity. I don't know how it resonated with the sword," Ryan answered truthfully, and a smile formed on Malik's face as he picked up both swords.

"It works well for me." He flashed Ryan a smile as he studied the swords more closely.

"Equip." He said, and then he could feel his strength increasing tremendously.

"Damn... My attack power is now at 300. Even if I see the Kobold Chieftain now, I will kill it with one hit."

[Do you want to name your sword?]

"Yes. But I don't know the name I should give them," Malik said as he stared at both swords.

"Or do you have any suggestions, Ryan?" Malik asked, but Ryan shook his head.

"I think it's better you name them yourself."

"Then your name shall be Twilight. One for crimson light and one for pure darkness. You shall accompany me to the Tower of Beginning, and we shall conquer," Malik said to the two swords before sending them into their sheaths.

Ryan had already provided a space for Malik to sheathe them on his back, and now Malik was looking more like a great warrior. The helm from the Set Equipment was turned invisible, and Malik's face and level were clear for everyone to see. Only if they knew—Malik isn't at Level 6. He doesn't even level up like the rest; he only breaks through.

"I've got 20 free stat points. System, allocate all to Intelligence."

[Intelligence (— 85 —) ➝ 105]

"Yes... I need my spiritual energy to be fully enhanced. With it, I could even mistakenly kill a Tier 2 player."

"I'll be taking my leave now, Ryan. I'm truly grateful," Malik said, bowing slightly.

"You don't need to be humble, BrotherCrimson. I'll always be at your service no matter where we meet again."

'That's true... Now that he has broken through to the Master realm, there's simply no reason for him to continue staying at Lont.'

"Then I won't be polite next time, Ryan." They both smiled at each other before Malik finally exited.

---

Malik was seen walking along the streets, his gaze was fully focused on his system interface.

"Apart from the Runic Crystal from the Kobold Cheiftian, I also earned a skill book," Malik said to himself as he was walking along the street. He did nothing to hide his face, his equipment gleamed, and the number 6 floated above his head.

"What rank of equipment is that?"

"They're glowing like crazy. I'm not sure they're common rank."

"Are you stupid? Even Bronze rank weapons don't have this glow."

"So are you saying..."

"Yes..."

"But he's just at Level 6."

"He's at Level 6 and his HP is above 1000. I need those equipments."

Different voices, different players—everyone was talking as they watched Malik stroll through the middle of the street.

If it wasn't for the safety rules in Lont, these players would have attacked Malik already.

"Mountain Strength, huh? An offensive skill."

[Mountain Strength - Grade D]

Effect: Increases attack power by 50% for 5 seconds.

Cooldown: 5 minutes

"It's a D-rank skill. But nevertheless, it's a good one. If I can raise my attack power to be great, then boost it by 50%... this skill will surely come in handy."

"Learn."

[You've learned the skill - Mountain Strength]

[Description: You'll gain the strength to move mountains.]

"Foolish system... How can I move mountains with just a 50% boost to my 300 attack?" Malik cursed as he headed over to the Beginning Tower.

"Look, it's that Level 6 player. He's heading towards the Beginning Tower." A player that has recognized Malik before said immediately he spotted him.

"He's going to challenge the Beginning Tower."

"He's going to challenge the Beginning Tower at Level 6. He won't even get past the 1st floor."

"Does he think because he's donned in some kind of equipment, he's literally a god?"

"He's a fool who doesn't know that the Beginning Tower will disregard all your equipment and weapons."

"You've to fight with only your base stats."

"I myself haven't even passed Floor 2. Let's see how far he can go." Alfred smirked, watching as Malik silhouette approached the Beginning Tower.

"Yes, let's see."

Malik, on the other hand, had finally stepped into the Beginning Tower. He couldn't concern himself with the opinion of the public.

[You've entered the Beginning Tower. Do you want to challenge your trial!?]

[Y/N]

"Yes!"
