The Emperor's laughter and dismissive comments had humiliated and enraged Gaileo. His aura raged as his bloodlust filled the room.
"Ahahaha! That's some nice bloodlust. It's times like this that I remember why I picked that punk in the first place." The Emperor thought.
"You disgusting old corpse! If you keep mocking me I'll-" Gaileo started to say.
"That's enough! Sit down you brat!" A voice said as it entered the throne room. In an instant, a finger was placed on Gaileo's shoulder and it sent him crashing into the ground and he was knocked out cold.
"Great General Xingzong! I didn't realize you had arrived! Sir!" Great General LeFont said as he saluted him.
"Great General LeFont, no need to be so formal we are of the same rank after all." Great General Xingzong replied.
"Ahahaha! I personally wouldn't have struck him myself, but he was getting a bit too cocky." The Emperor said.
"Yes, it's not good to go too easy on the boy." Xingzong added.
Great General Xingzong was a tall man with long tied up black hair and a youthful appearance. He too wore the purple armor signifying his place as one of the Empire's strongest. Despite his appearance, he was actually the second oldest man in the Empire other than the Emperor. He had been serving as a general for over 900 years, but unlike the Emperor it appeared that he hadn't aged at all. He along with Great General LeFont were known as the Guardians of Zhenqi as they had both remained in Zhenqi for centuries to defend it from potential enemies. In all the time they had been defending the capital, there had never been an enemy army that had even made it close enough to be seen from the city walls."
"You there, honeycomb head. Pick up my foolish son and get out of here. The adults have some more serious issues to talk about." The Emperor said.
Everyone looked around to see who he was talking to, when everyone had brought their attention to Shion he looked around and pointed at himself and said, "Umm? Do you mean me sir?"
"Yes you, the sissy with the colorful hair. Grab my son and get out. Now!" The Emperor snapped.
"Y-Yes sir, right away!" Shion replied as he grabbed Gaileo's unconscious body and flung it over his shoulder. "Sorry for his rudeness your majesty." He said as he gave a courteous nod and took one step before he vanished.
"Interesting, he's fast. I guess my moron son has some competent people working for him at least." The Emperor thought. "Now, despite what I said it's still a decent accomplishment to take back Gangwon and crush the rebellion. I will give him a reward, and one for you too Tenjin." He said.
"You honor us your majesty." Tenjin said with a salute.
"I'll give you a few chests of treasure for your troubles as well as 20,000 more troops for your army. You can give 10,000 of them to my son. Just tell him not to waste them this time." The Emperor said as he dismissed Great General Tenjin.
"Who's next?" The Emperor asked.
"Next is Great General Justice Shukure, the First Prince!" The official announced .
An imposing man with long dark blue hair entered the throne room. He was considered to be on par with the Guardians of Zhenqi, LeFont and Xingzong. In fact, many people speculated that he was in fact the strongest man in the Empire. He was the oldest of the Emperor's adopted sons and though he had still never officially been named the heir, given his long list of accomplishments it was all but assured that he would succeed to the throne.
"Ahahaha, if it isn't my favorite son! So what do you have for me today?"
"There was an invasion force sent from the northern continent consisting of a fleet of 100,000 ships." Justice replied. This caused a commotion of panic among the Imperial court but they were quickly silenced by Justice's next words. "Their current location is, the bottom of the sea. In addition to that, my army has taken 14 cities, 45 castles, and annexed 2 countries. My apologies, I would have gotten some more accomplished today but I seemed to have overslept this morning."
"Today? He did all of that in just one day? And he apologizes for not doing more? This guy is incredible. That's why they call him the Crown Prince, the heir apparent. If he isn't worthy of being the Emperor, then who could be?" A Court Official thought.
"Fantastic, a magnificent job as always Justice. Why don't you take a break for a while. Your brothers are back in the capital you know? Why don't you go and spend some time with them?" The Emperor said.
"Yes, I saw Great General Tenjin's banners flying along the palace walls, I had assumed that they were here. I would do as you asked father, but I'm afraid I'm simply too busy." He replied with a salute.
"Ah, I see. That's too bad." The Emperor said. "If only you could see that this is one of the reasons why I haven't officially named you my heir yet."
