Chapter 6 - Pak Soon Hyun

All of them couldn't figure out how it was possible for the Fire Deer to be apprehended by the young man.

It would take the five of them with full gear and weapons to be able to handle the Fire Deer.

But now, right in front of their eyes, the Fire Deer was dead.

Without needing their help and intervention.

"Are both of you all right?"

After a few moments of silence, the security team lead asked Lukas.

The other team members with their weapons pointed at the Fire Deer slowly approached the carcass of the Fire Deer.

"I'm fine, but Bundy here might need some medical attention," Lukas said as he held onto Bundy's body, trying to wake him up.

The security team lead nodded, and he radioed for an ambulance.

When the ambulance arrived, Bundy opened his eyes and saw the security team lead with the security team members.

Bundy frantically looked around for Lukas.

He gave out a sigh of relief when he saw Lukas standing beside him and looking at him.

"Thank God the security team came in time," Bundy said as he was put on the stretcher and carried away from the scene.

Lukas smiled and nodded at Bundy.

His eyes narrowed and he made a decision when Bundy was out of his sight.

There was no time to waste.

He would go to the Awakened Center tomorrow to test and become awakened.

With the identity of being awakened, those who seek to harm him would have to think twice before doing so.

But first, he had someone else to deal with.

After all the commotion, the Abattoir ceased operations for investigations and recovery.

Lukas took his pay for the day and asked around for information about the stout man.

The other staff at the Abattoir didn't think much of it, and they told him where the stout man usually hung out.

Lukas thanked them, and he went over to the pub called the 'Dragon Lair'.

Inside the pub, it was dark and filled with smoke from the cigarettes.

Rowdy men and women sat with a drink and cigarette in their hands.

He lowered his head and sat in a corner as he quietly scanned the surroundings.

"What do you want?" A waiter came up to him and asked.

"Just a beer will do," Lukas replied and paid for the beer.

The waiter looked at him suspiciously for a moment before he walked away.

A few moments later, a familiar figure entered the pub.

It was the stout man.

And behind the stout man, Lukas saw a familiar face.

It was one of Jules Robertson's minions, Park Soon Hyun.

Pak looked out of place with his spectacles and studious looks.

"Here's your beer." The waiter came over with Lukas's beer and placed it on the table.

Lukas nodded and picked up the beer, while he looked at the stout man and Pak.

They found a seat and the stout man started talking.

The stout man gestured with his hands in the air as he spoke.

"Guess what, the man you wanted me to deal with killed the Fire Deer just like that."

He told Pak Soon Hun about what had happened in the Abattoir.

And when he was done, Pak Soon Hun took out his spectacles and wiped them with his shirt.

Pak Soon Hun looked up again and shook his head at the stout man.

"I might still be a student, but I'm not dumb. You expect me to believe your bullshit story about a normal person dealing with a Fire Deer?"

"I don't care whether you believe it or not. A deal is a deal, pay up with $500 more for my troubles now or else...."

The stout man wasn't too pleased, and he started shouting.

Pak Soon Hun quickly held his arm at the stout man's neck.

And within a few seconds, the stout man's eyes slowly closed.

"He got drunk, so sorry for the commotion," Pak Soon Hun said and he led the stout man out of the pub with his arm.

Lukas followed behind as he saw Pak Soon Hun leading the stout man into the dark alley behind the pub.

Pak Soon Hun raised one of his hands and his hand gave out a chilling wave of air, making the air turn into white mist.

"You can't even accomplish such a simple mission and yet you dare to ask for more?"

He said as he pressed his hand onto the stout man's chest.

"Argh!"

The chill and pain on the stout man's chest made him wake up and cry out in pain.

Pak Soon Hun didn't stop as he licked the side of his lips and savored the stout man's pain.

Lukas wasn't too concerned with the stout man, but he knew it was the best opportunity for him to attack.

He took off his coat and used it to cover his face.

Thud.

With all his might, he lunged at Pak Soon Hun and knocked Pak Soon Hun over.

Sending him sprawling across the dark alley.

Clank.

Bottles that were knocked over by Pak Soon Hun broke as they fell onto the ground.

The stout man's eyes opened wide, and he wanted to thank Lukas, thinking that he was going to save him.

Crack.

To the stout man's surprise, Lukas gave him a punch to his chest, cracking his ribcage, and the stout man crashed into the wall behind him.

"Who are you?" Pak Soon Hun helped himself up to his feet, with the help of the wall as he held onto it and stood up.

Lukas didn't bother and he lunged at Pak Soon Hun again.

Whoosh.

This time Pak Soon Hun was ready, and he used his palm to strike at Lukas's head.

Lukas could feel the chills coming at his face and he tilted his head and dodged Pak Soon Hun's palm strike.

Pak Soon Hun's palm turned into a claw, and he pulled back his arms to claw at Lukas's neck from behind.

Thud.

Lukas gave Pak Soon Hun a frontal kick, sending him flying away.

But Pak Soon Hun's claws that were engulfed with pointed ice grazed the skin of Lukas's neck, leaving a few trails of open wounds on Lukas's neck.

Blood flowed out from Lukas's wounds, but the wounds miraculously healed and closed the very next moment.
