Chapter 2 - The revealer

Chapter 2: The Revealer

In the middle of all the craziness, a glowing blue screen popped up in front of Ronnie, flashing important information.

[You have unlocked the Divine-Rank Job: The Revealer]

[You're only the third person in history to carry this destiny—a path full of risks and challenges. But if you make it to the end, you'll stand at the top of the world.]

Ronnie's heart pounded. A Divine-Rank job? Only the third ever? He felt a wild mix of fear and excitement rushing through him.

He stared at the glowing messages, a heavy sense of duty settling over him. He clenched his fist so hard his knuckles turned white, thinking about his family—how they'd taken him in and loved him without asking for anything in return.

"I've got to get stronger for them," he muttered under his breath, his eyes sparkling with a fresh spark of determination.

"You said I'm the third… so who were the first two?" Ronnie asked, his voice shaking a little as his curiosity pushed past his nerves.

[You're asking for top-secret information]

[Securing the area]

[Area secured]

Ronnie didn't notice that his whole house had suddenly been cut off from the outside world, invisible to anyone else. The air felt different—sounds were softer, almost muffled, and the room seemed heavier somehow.

"What's going on?" he wondered, glancing around warily.

[The first person to wield Revelation was called "The Seeker of Truth"]

A ghostly image appeared—a man with kind, noble features, dressed in a flowing white cloak, his face glowing with a soft inner light.

[He chose the Path of Light, dedicating his life to justice and fighting corruption. He only exposed those who followed the Path of Darkness.]

The image faded gently, and another took its place.

[The second was known as "The Greedy Demon," from the demon race.]

A terrifying figure emerged, with red horns and blazing eyes, a wicked grin showing off sharp fangs.

[He chose the Path of Darkness, using his power to spread chaos across the world. He died fighting in the Final Era.]

Ronnie shivered as the second image disappeared, a cold chill creeping down his spine.

[You're too weak to learn more right now.]

Ronnie studied the messages, his mind buzzing with questions about these two figures—his predecessors, in a way. He felt like he was their heir, carrying on their legacy.

"From what I can tell, those two went down completely different roads, using Revelation however they wanted," Ronnie said, thinking out loud.

[That's right. The Revealer's path is special, like the Path of Creation, which can bring both light and darkness. It's a neutral path that bends to what you want.]

This idea sank into Ronnie's mind, and his thoughts started racing. A neutral path… one that followed his wishes…

[Someone who gains a power tied to the Path of Light has to stick to it, even if their heart's rotten. That can lead to corruption creeping into the Path of Light. The same goes for the Path of Darkness. History is full of betrayals on both sides.]

"So, a lot of so-called heroes were forced to act good even if they didn't want to?" Ronnie asked, his view of the world shifting.

[This shows that a power can sometimes take over a person's life, pushing them down a road they didn't choose.]

Ronnie cracked a small smile. "But my power doesn't force me onto any path…"

[Revelation is a neutral power that follows the path you pick. That's why the two before you were so different—one walked the Path of Light, the other the Path of Darkness.]

"Got it," Ronnie said, nodding.

He rubbed his chin, amazed at how incredible this power was. For the first time ever, he felt free—really free. His future was in his own hands.

He'd heard about neutral-path jobs before, like mages and swordsmen. There were tons of stories about swordsmen and mages who followed either the Path of Light or Darkness.

"Which path will I take?" he whispered, his mind flashing to all the women who'd laughed at him and the men who'd looked down on him.

Then he thought of his family, how they'd suffered from poverty and unfair treatment. "I'll pick the path that helps me and the people I care about," he decided, his voice firm.

"Show me!"

With his command, a bunch of blue screens floated up in the air, filled with new details about his job.

[Job: The Revealer]

[Rank: Divine (Locked)]

[Skills:

Mirror of Life

The Dreamer

Devil's Touch

Stellar Eyes]

[Level: 0]

**[Stats:

Strength: 7

Mana: 9

Agility: 8

Vitality: 8

Intelligence: 10]

"Level 0? Seriously?"

Ronnie's shoulders slumped as he looked at his stats. He tried flexing his arms, feeling how weak and untrained his body was.

"Even a stone guard dog's got better stats than me," he grumbled, annoyed.

He caught his skinny reflection in the window. "No wonder Erza's always bugging me to work out."

But when he noticed his Intelligence stat—10—he felt a bit better. At least his brain was solid.

"Huh? What do these skills do?"

He tapped the air, and a new screen popped up with info about his skills.

[Skills]

[Mirror of Life: Rank S (Can Grow)

No one can hide or escape. Even if they're in another world, this mirror can find and watch them.

Since you're weak right now, this skill's power is limited.

Usage: Once a day.]

Ronnie's eyes went wide. "Rank S?" he whispered, blown away. S-Rank skills were super rare—the best of the best.

"I can see anyone, anywhere?" he thought, and sneaky ideas started slipping into his head. He could spy on women while they bathed or changed clothes…

His face and body heated up at the thought.

[The Dreamer: Rank A (Can Grow)

Their dreams are your playground. Close your eyes, sleep, and let your dreams uncover their secrets and true selves.

Usage: Twice a day.]

"I can slip into people's dreams?" Ronnie said, amazed.

His mind filled with steamy images—women's secret dreams, their hidden desires, their wildest fantasies…

[Devil's Touch: Rank B (Can Grow)

Watch out for the Devil's Touch—it can steal someone's willpower, turning them into your puppet.

Usage: Twice a day.]

"I can control people just by touching them?" Ronnie muttered, his hands shaking with excitement.

[Stellar Eyes: Rank C (Can Grow)

In front of me, everyone's exposed. I can see lies, secrets, thoughts—everything. I can find the truth.

Usage: Once a day.]

"Even the weakest skill's awesome," Ronnie thought. "I can dig up people's secrets and what they're thinking."

After reading all the screens, Ronnie felt a burst of energy surging inside him. His confidence soared, like he was about to step into a world of superhumans.

For a second, his skin seemed to shimmer faintly. A weird power flowed through his veins, matching the beat of his heart.

He looked at his hands, almost able to see through them—veins, bones, and all, like they were glowing under his skin.

For the first time, he felt the mana around him, like a gentle tickle. It was like an invisible breeze he could sense but not see, brushing his skin and swirling around his fingers.

He tried to grab it, to hold it, but it slipped away every time, like trying to catch water in his hands.

"This is so cool!" he said, grinning.

His eyes landed on one screen—the one for the Mirror of Life skill.

"Let's give this a try first," Ronnie thought, his heart racing with excitement.

"Open it," he said quietly, speaking to the mirror.

All of a sudden, he felt like something was pulling his energy out of him. It was a strange feeling, like a piece of his soul was being tugged away.

A glowing blue burst shot out from his chest, slowly shaping into a small, mirror-like portal floating in front of him.

"So this is the Mirror of Life," Ronnie whispered, amazed, reaching out to touch its wavy surface.

The mirror felt cold, like water, but it was solid. Ronnie's reflection stared back, but it looked stronger, bolder—like a version of him he could become.

"It says I can see anything in the world, but what should I check out?"

For a moment, he felt stuck—the world was huge, with so much to see. But since he could only use the skill once a day, he wanted to pick something good.

"I'll start with my family. But… who first?"

He thought about his sisters, but his mom, Elena, kept popping into his head. He pictured her beauty, her curvy figure, the sweet smell of her perfume…

"Let me see Mom," he decided, a warm, funny feeling stirring in his stomach.

"It's just a test, no big deal," he mumbled, trying to convince himself.

As soon as he said it, the mirror changed. His reflection vanished, and a new scene appeared.

A dark room, lit only by moonlight sneaking through the window. A plain bed, an old wardrobe, some basic furniture.

Ronnie leaned in, his eyes getting used to the dim light in the mirror. Then he spotted a shape on the bed—someone sleeping, curled up under a thin blanket.

"Can I make it bigger?" he wondered.

Like it heard him, the mirror zoomed in, focusing on the sleeping person.

Now Ronnie could see clearly—it was his mom, Elena, lying on her side.

"It really works!"

Ronnie's heart swelled with joy, and he got pumped about what this skill could do. He could already imagine how powerful it'd be if he got better at it.

Elena was sleeping peacefully, her face calm and beautiful in the moonlight. Her long hair spilled over the pillow like a silky black waterfall.

Ronnie watched for a bit, enjoying the sight of his mom resting so quietly. He was about to turn off the mirror, happy with his first try.

But then Elena, who'd been sleeping on her side, moved. She shifted a little, then rolled onto her back.

And in that moment, Ronnie's jaw dropped at what he saw.

As Elena turned, her thin nightgown slipped. One of her breasts popped out from the side, revealing a huge, creamy breast with a soft, pink nipple.

It was perfectly round, full, and smooth, moving slightly with each breath she took. The pink nipple stood out just a bit, looking soft and tempting in the faint moonlight.

Ronnie couldn't look away. A hot wave rushed through his whole body, and his pants tightened as his cock grew hard and throbbing.

"Holy crap," he whispered, his voice shaky, his mouth suddenly dry.

He kept staring at that gorgeous, round breast, his eyes glued to the tempting sight. He started imagining touching it, squeezing it gently, running his fingers over that pink nipple…

Then he pictured himself leaning in, sucking on that soft nipple, tasting sweet milk…

But right then, the mirror shut off, leaving Ronnie frustrated and still buzzing with excitement.

A message floated in the air in front of him:

[Your mana's too low.]

[Train to build up your mana reserves.]

"No way! Not now!" Ronnie whispered, annoyed that the steamy scene got cut short.

He looked down at the bulge in his pants, feeling a strong urge to do something about it. But he remembered his family was asleep in the rooms nearby.

"I've gotta figure out how to get more mana," Ronnie thought, trying to slow his fast breathing. "Then I can use the mirror longer… and see more."

A sneaky grin spread across his face as all sorts of naughty ideas filled his head. With these powers, his life was about to change big time.

"Tomorrow," he whispered to himself, "tomorrow's when I really start my journey."
