Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Conqueror's Haki! Facing the Five Elders!

"Roger!!"

Kaido's long legs were almost sparking as he dashed across the rocky wilderness.

To maintain balance, Roa had to cling to a strand of his hair.

The scenery on both sides blurred past. Should I say, as expected of Teacher Kaido? Even when he was young, running, he was faster than Roa's flying speed.

Bang!

A sudden gunshot.

Roa pressed his hand to his forehead, incredibly annoyed. "Who threw that firecracker?"

"Hahaha! What a big human!"

A voice that could only be described as idiotic came from the side.

"Hm?"

Roa and Uncle Kaido, who had stopped in their tracks, looked over simultaneously.

It was a perfectly stereotypical Celestial Dragon.

Obese, with a runny nose, a high topknot, and wearing the standard space suit and fishbowl helmet.

He sat on the back of a muscular slave, surrounded by a group of pale-faced guards.

"Hahaha! This guy must be worth a lot of points!"

The smoking gun in the Celestial Dragon's hand trembled as it aimed at Brother Kaido. "Don't you dare dodge again! If I miss again, I won't let you off!"

The guards beside him were almost in tears.

Wouldn't it be better to just go to the shelter obediently?

The Celestial Dragon didn't recognize Roa and Kaido, but they did!

The Rocks Pirates' intern duo!

Kaido and Roa!

Each of them a notorious monster!

"Ugyargh! Is this a Celestial Dragon?"

Although Kaido was laughing, the corners of his mouth were uncontrollably turning downwards. "This kind of guy stands at the peak of the world?"

"What a joke!!"

Just at this critical moment.

"Brother Kaido! Let me handle this!"

Roa volunteered.

I haven't tasted a Celestial Dragon's black mist yet.

After a moment's thought, Roa made a decision. "Burning at the stake it is."

The next instant, the Celestial Dragon, along with his guards and the slave beneath him, had their clothes and hair burst into raging flames.

"Wah-a-a-a!!"

The Celestial Dragon screamed, instantly falling from the slave's back, rolling in agony on the ground.

"Here it comes, here it comes!"

Roa eagerly took a deep breath. The black mist emanating from the Celestial Dragon was inhaled into his stomach. "Pure!"

Celestial Dragons also suffer when they endure hardship!

And the black mist emitted, it's super mellow!

Though the rigorously trained guards were equally in pain, they instinctively tried to rescue their master.

However.

Whoosh!

The flames surged the next instant, the fire on everyone's bodies practically gushing outwards, directly converging into a sea of fire.

Roa's ability was to create disaster.

So he didn't just ignite their clothes; he used these fuels to create a blaze.

The quantity of fuel for the fire didn't matter, as long as there was some.

And so, screams rang out in unison, then quickly diminished.

"Burning at the stake still isn't ideal."

Roa crossed his arms, self-reflecting. "They burned to death in just two moves."

"Ugyargh! Well done, kid! Such trash, no amount of torment is too much!"

Kaido laughed loudly and started dashing again.

Roa knew what he meant.

Brother Kaido dreamt of establishing a world where the strong prey on the weak, where it becomes the universal law.

But honestly, this world already was that.

The reason Celestial Dragons could stand so high above was entirely because they controlled the world's greatest military power.

Even within the Celestial Dragons themselves, might made right.

As they dashed towards the island's center, they encountered a few more waves of Celestial Dragons along the way.

Roa didn't hold back, using them for several experiments.

Things like wind blade cutting, meteorite descent, lightning strikes, landslides.

None were very satisfying because these ordinary Celestial Dragons were too fragile, dying in just two or three hits, completely unsatisfying.

Just as Roa was pondering.

"Roger!!"

"Wait! Rocks!"

Boom!!

A terrifying gale rushed towards them, accompanied by black lightning that shot into the sky. The island began to shake, and the clouds above instantly dispersed.

"Has Captain already engaged Roger?"

Roa suddenly felt a bit impatient.

The clash of the kings of the old and new eras, how magnificent must their momentum be?

"Ugyargh!!"

Kaido roared, leaping a hundred meters into the air, plummeting towards the central area of the island like a meteor.

After several continuous leaps, he landed with Roa at the edge of the battlefield.

Roa's eyes gradually widened.

It wasn't just Captain and Roger; they were all familiar faces!

"Roger!!" Rocks roared with fierce aura.

"Rocks!" The future Pirate King showed no weakness.

"Roger!" A Marine Vice Admiral charged in.

"Roger!!" Golden Lion descended from the sky.

"Roger!" Whitebeard roared with all his might.

"Rocks!!" Silvers Rayleigh also exuded a soaring aura.

"Don't get too arrogant, Roger! Rocks!"

The crescent-haired Figarland Garling also had a fierce aura, and behind him, monsters stood in abundance.

Boom, boom, boom, boom!

Terrifying waves of Conqueror's Haki swept across the entire island.

This already not-so-large island seemed to be undergoing a massive earthquake. Numerous cracks spread everywhere, and even the central mountain was experiencing slight collapses.

At the same time, a fierce aura surged from Kaido, piercing the sky.

"Roger!"

Roaring, Brother Kaido also impatiently charged into the battlefield.

Roa was dumbfounded.

Multiple Conqueror's Haki users surged simultaneously, and the world seemed to lose its color. Roa felt his mind going intermittently blank, unable to continue thinking.

Am I going to pass out?

What a joke! I'm a transmigrator! You manga characters think you can lord over me?

A certain shackle was shattered almost silently.

Buzz!!

Roa's eyes widened, and he instinctively roared, "Roger!"

As he roared, an invisible aura spread out.

Moreover, this aura resonated with his roaring sound waves, creating an unexpected effect.

However, no one paid attention.

On this battlefield, Roa was merely an unnoticed wild tiger by the roadside. Even Kaido was just excitedly charging forward, not bothering to give him a second glance.

How frustrating.

Awakening Conqueror's Haki at seven years old, even earlier than Yamato.

But why did I shout "Roger"?

Never mind, seeing you all fighting so excitedly, I'll forgive you.

Roa quickly flapped his wings and retreated, swiftly moving towards the edge of the battlefield.

He certainly didn't want to get involved in this massive free-for-all.

"Mamamama! I knew it, Little Roa, you're a Conqueror's Haki user too!"

Laughter came from behind.

Roa looked back. Aunt Linlin was also observing from the sidelines.

"Aunt Linlin, aren't you joining the fight?"

Roa asked curiously.

Wasn't Aunt Linlin also incredibly fixated on Roger?

She was still muttering about Roger even when she was taking a bath in lava.

"I'm not in the mood to play with those idiots,"

Charlotte Linlin winked at Roa. "Little Roa, don't forget our purpose for coming to this island. As long as we take the treasure, it's our victory!"

Roa looked back.

The monsters were already fighting fiercely.

The Captain was clashing swords with Roger one moment, then meeting Garp's fists the next, only to be clanging lively with the crescent-haired Figarland Garling the moment after.

Aside from the Marines and Holy Knights standing together, it was a complete free-for-all.

The earth was crumbling, the mountains were groaning, and even the sky dared not show emotion.

With my strength, just getting close to the battlefield would probably get me caught in the aftermath, wouldn't it?

"You're right,"

Roa decisively turned back and said to Aunt Linlin, "Let's hurry and find the treasure!"

"Mamamama! Good child!"

And so, Roa once again sat on Linlin's shoulder, and the two swiftly ran towards the island's center.

The center of the island was already in complete chaos.

The Celestial Dragons who had sought refuge still maintained their arrogance, chattering and urging the pirates to be dealt with quickly, as they wanted to continue their hunt.

The organizers were frantically trying to appease them.

And so, no one noticed that at the back of the venue, on the platform where treasures were stored.

"Are these the two Devil Fruits?"

The tall, simple-looking boy with the large physique happily looked at the fruit in his hand.

"That's right! Kuma!"

Beside him, the big-headed boy held another fruit, green and covered in green scales. "It's ours—"

"So close!"

A huge dark shadow shot over, pressing the big-headed boy to the ground, and casually took the green fruit from his hand.

"Kuma! Eat it!"

Almost instinctively, the big-headed boy, spitting blood, shouted.

The simple-looking boy didn't hesitate, biting off half of the fruit in his hand.

"Tsk!"

Charlotte Linlin clicked her tongue in annoyance.

Roa stood steadily on Linlin's shoulder, looking at the panicked flat-topped boy, also sighing with a touch of regret.

If I had been a little faster, I could have seized that fruit.

Boom!

The next instant, Kuma was directly sent flying.

An old man, leaning on a staff, wearing a small hat, and with a thick white beard, stood there quietly. "Lowly ants, born base, dare to touch the gods' treasures."

"All of you, deserve to die."

Roa gripped Aunt Linlin's hair tightly. "Whoa, a monster has appeared. Aunt Linlin, can you handle this?"

The treasures are piled right there!

Besides the Azure Dragon Fruit and the Paw-Paw Fruit, Roa also saw another Devil Fruit, which probably wasn't a simple one either.

Not to mention a pile of other treasures.

But if Aunt Linlin couldn't handle it either, then they would just have to run.

"Mamamama!"

Charlotte Linlin examined the newcomer with interest. "Will the world's highest authority also descend to the human world?"

Their next enemy was one of the Five Elders!
