Chapter 3 - Task

At his school after the incident two days ago.

His dirty clothes were now clean. Now he had to explain the reason for his absence yesterday.

In the homeroom room. Neatly arranged several decorations made of quality glass and certainly expensive, also have symbols that are well painted and unique in each vase.

Now in front of him was an old man with calm hair, his face looked calm, he also took a few sips of the still warm tea he had made.

Putting down his teacup that he had drunk half of.

"So why didn't you leave yesterday?" His tone was casual yet firm. Without saying much, he got straight to the point.

Victor's initially relaxed face turned slightly distressed.

"Well, sir."

When he wanted to explain to his professor. A sense of doubt began to haunt him. He was afraid that his professor teacher would spread the embarrassing incident that happened two days ago.

The professor eyes fell on victor who looked hesitant. He seemed to be able to guess what his student had gone through.

"Take it easy, I'm not the kind of person who leaks other people's secrets."

Hearing that his professor could guarantee his secret, made him somewhat relieved. He then looked at his professor with a confident gaze. Maybe if he was told to choose one figure who could be trusted, choosing the old man in front of him was probably the choice he would definitely make.

Victor began to tell his story from beginning to end.

The old man in front of him was surprised because he did not expect his student to do such a stupid thing as trying teleportation magic, a magic that normally only Dache (4th level magician) could use freely, and his student instead chose to use an alternative method whose success was not even guaranteed.

Professor Aldy before him was at least an Elche. Victor thought, 'at least Mr. Aldy should know about teleportation magic. Judging from his response, it shouldn't be a forbidden magic', he thought while breathing a sigh of relief that at least he wouldn't be punished.

"Hear me." Aldy wondered whether he should punish his student or not. He continued, "Since you used advanced magic without a supervisor, I will punish you." His hand reached into the air, and suddenly a book appeared from the air. He then placed the book on the table, "Write down all the basic magic you know and then explain it in detail until this book is filled. I'll give you time until next week."

The book was quite thick and probably about the same length as a normal encyclopedia, it even reached 50 pages.

His eyebrows twitched at the sheer weight of the task, even cleaning toilets for a week felt better than these pads.

It was a pity that his small hands had to fill this thick book. His gaze fell on Aldy's eyes as if he was questioning 'are you serious?"

In response to his gaze, he started walking away, adding, "If you don't finish on time, you should copy all the history books in the school library." Of course he wasn't serious. Just a small threat to scare his student.

It was even worse than filling out this book. The punishment for failing to fulfill the assignment given by Aldy was even worse. let alone copying the entire history book in the library, even copying one history book he didn't want to, besides being boring and the amount of text and data - a lot of data that even he himself didn't understand, the content alone made him lethargic when he wanted to start writing it.

"Shit. It's all the fault of that damned formation." He exclaimed in his heart as he continued to curse the strange book he found.

After leaving his homeroom. He was now at his school cafeteria, eating with his friend.

A blonde girl was sitting in front of him while spooning the soup she was eating.

She stopped putting food into her mouth, then asked.

"Two days ago, I saw you running with wet clothes. Where were you?" Lily asked, eating her soup casually.

Her gaze shifted from her food, now fixed on Victor. She hoped his friend would answer her.

Victor who was asked, just continued eating his food while saying.

"Me? When? Where? You're mistaken. I rarely go out of my house, even doing something careless, that's something I can't possibly do." He said casually while continuing to emphasize to her friend. In order not to look suspicious, he casually ate his food.

Lily in front of him rolled her eyes, thinking 'I know you don't want to tell me. If you insist on not confessing, I'm even more convinced that my eyes must not be mistaken', she also pretended to forget about it for now.

Victor was now eager to change the subject, so he suddenly said.

"It seems that for the time being, I won't be able to participate in club activities." He said, expecting Lily to forget his question.

Because he already knew that what happened yesterday was a fact. She was already less curious, she agreed to change the topic that his friend was suddenly talking about.

"I see... What is the reason indeed?"

Victor was relieved that his friend seemed to have forgotten about what happened two days ago, he continued.

"Yes. It's all because Mr. Aldy gave me a lot of assignments."

"Well then, how much is that."

Victor took out the book he got from Aldy and put it on the canteen table, he then said.

"Here. Mr. Aldy told me to fill in all the pages." He touched the book with his palm.

"This book?" Lily raised both hands then hold the book, "What did he tell you to fill in?"

"He told me to fill it in with all the magic I'm good at and then explain in detail."

Lily got up from her chair, preparing to walk away. As she walked away she said.

"Then I wish you good luck with your assignment."

Walking away from the cafeteria as the food ran out. Although she was a little disappointed that his friend didn't want to explain about the incident two days ago, it didn't matter! Because she could already confirm that it was a fact and not a lie or a misunderstanding or something.

Seeing that the troublesome girl had left, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Luckily she doesn't know about what happened to me, if she know, I'm sure the whole class would laugh at me." Staring at his friend's back as if a heavy burden had been lifted from his heart.

He also quickly eat his food then hurriedly left the cafeteria to continue his class.
