Chapter 7: "Feel It With Your Heart"
Kairo woke up.
No curse. No strange feeling. Just peace.
Warm sunlight peeked through the window... and beside him, Lyna was still asleep — soft, calm, beautiful.
He smiled faintly, watching her chest rise and fall with each breath. For a second, everything felt... normal.
"I love you," he whispered quietly in his mind, afraid the words might wake her.
Then he gently slipped out of bed and made his way to the kitchen.
"Let's surprise her today... I'll cook."
But fate had other plans.
"AHHH!"
Kairo screamed as he burned his hand while trying to flip something that looked "kinda" edible.
Footsteps rushed in.
"Are you okay?!" Lyna called, storming into the kitchen in panic.
Her eyes widened seeing him clutching his hand, and without a word, she grabbed it.
A gentle violet glow shimmered around her palm as she healed the burn.
Kairo blinked. "You can heal too?"
She smiled softly.
"A little."
Then her tone turned firm.
"Now rest, Kairo. I'll cook the rest."
But he shook his head stubbornly.
"No. Today I'm cooking for you. Just sit and relax."
Lyna let out a gentle laugh.
"Okay, okay, Kairo. Don't burn the house down."
🍴 Breakfast Shenanigans
The food was finally ready — not perfect, but made with care.
Kairo brought it to her, heart pounding.
"C-Can I feed you?"
Lyna raised a brow, smirking.
"Stop being so clingy, Kairooo~"
He held out the spoon.
"Please?"
She sighed, trying to hide her blush.
"Fine. But only if I get to feed you too."
"Deal," he said with a bright smile.
Kairo fed her the first bite — carefully.
Then she fed him back with the same spoon.
He blinked, cheeks red.
"Wait... was that an indirect kiss?"
She noticed his expression and teased,
"You're seriously thinking weird stuff again, aren't you?"
He coughed. "N-No!"
⚔️ Training Begins: Unleashing the Heart
After breakfast, he stood in the open field with her.
The wind was soft. Birds sang from the nearby trees.
Kairo took a deep breath, but his heart pounded louder than everything.
Lyna walked up beside him, silver hair tied, expression calm.
"Nervous?" she asked with a teasing smile.
"Honestly, I was nervous about the training... but your beauty makes me even more nervous," he mumbled.
She giggled.
"You were just sleeping in my lap like a baby, Kairo. Don't act shy now."
"You're seriously trying to embarrass me today..."
She smiled warmly and stepped in front of him, eyes locking with his.
"Your power is tied to emotion. That's why the curse picked you. You feel too much. That makes you dangerous."
"Dangerous...?"
"And powerful. If you learn control."
She raised her hand. A soft orb of violet energy bloomed in her palm.
"Now focus. Not just on memories... but on something — or someone — you'd protect with your life."
Kairo closed his eyes.
He saw:
The day he first opened his eyes in this strange world.Lyna's face when she comforted him.Her voice... "You're not alone anymore."
A faint glow shimmered around his chest — small, flickering.
"Good. But you're holding back," she said, stepping closer. "Why?"
"I'm scared."
Lyna's expression softened.
"I was too. Fear doesn't make you weak, Kairo. Hiding from it does."
She gently took his hand, surprising him — and placed it against her chest.
"Then focus on me."
"W-What...?"
"No lies. No filter. Just feel what I make you feel."
"You're seriously cheating..." he whispered.
"It's your first training. You need a little help," she winked, placing her glowing fingers at his temple.
Warmth rushed through him.
Her heartbeat... her scent... her warmth...
His own heart synced with hers — and then...
A golden burst of light erupted from within him.
"Kairo!" she gasped. "You did it!"
Golden threads spun around him, floating like fireflies.
"I... did this?"
"Yes. That's your light. That's you."
⚡ Sparring... and Something More
Lyna stepped back, grinning.
"Now... attack me."
"W-WHAT!?"
"Show me what that power can do."
"But I might hurt you—"
"I trust you."
He hesitated... then focused.
A glowing blast built up in his palm.
He released it — wild, unstable, but strong.
Lyna dodged easily.
"Not bad. But aim higher next time."
They sparred.
Running, dodging, laughing, slipping—
Until Kairo slipped and crashed into her — their bodies awkwardly tangled.
He was on top of her.
Their eyes locked.
"I-I'm sorry!" he shouted, face bright red.
"I told you not to hold back..." she whispered, looking away.
A moment passed.
"...Do you always blush this much when you fall on girls?" she teased, smirking.
"Only with you. Not with 'girls.'"
She paused... then whispered:
"Kairo... I'm cursed too, even if it's just a little. Do you still want to stay by me?"
He looked into her eyes.
"Of course I do."
🌅 Sunset Feels & Soft Confessions
They sat together under the sky, painted orange and pink by the sunset.
Kairo stared into the distance.
"I didn't think I could do this..."
Lyna looked at him softly.
"You didn't do it alone."
He was quiet, then said:
"If my powers come from emotion... will I grow stronger the more I care about you?"
She blinked.
"Maybe. But don't fall for me just to power up, idiot."
He chuckled.
"Too late."
She blushed lightly, then smiled.
"Then keep training. I might let you win next time."
Without speaking, Kairo gently held her hand.
She smiled and placed her other hand over his — then suddenly tugged him toward her lap.
"Wha— That was sudden!"
"You surprise me all the time, so I wanted payback," she giggled. "Besides... you're enjoying it, right?"
"H-How did you know?"
"Common sense, idiot."
He lay comfortably in her lap.
She gently stroked his hair.
He kissed her hand gently, holding it.
"You're really clingy," she muttered, half-laughing.
"I'd do anything for you."
"Even die for me?"
"I'm living because of you... then why not?"
She leaned down and kissed his forehead.
"Idiot."
🌙 Late Night Talk
Later that night, Kairo woke up in his own bed again.
Lyna must've brought him back.
He turned his head toward her, still sitting nearby, half-awake.
"Hey... why don't you blush like crazy like others like anime girls? I saw in Anime Girls blush too much"
She smiled, eyes half-lidded.
"Because I'm only for you. That's why. 🫶"
