The Energyne tower tilted violently, groaning

under its own weight as structural supports gave way. Glass shattered. Steel twisted. With a thunderous crash, the building collapsed in on itself, kicking up a colossal wave of smoke and dust that swept across the city like a sandstorm.

Alex shot into the sky just in time, his wings slicing the air as he soared upward to avoid the deadly fallout. He hovered above the chaos, eyes narrowed as he tried to pierce the swirling dust. He couldn't see them… but he was sure they had made it.

Just like in the original timeline.

As the dust finally began to settle, he descended slowly—wings spread wide—before slamming into the pavement below in a classic superhero landing, the force of his arrival blowing back the remaining smoke with a mighty gust from his wings. He folded them neatly behind him, his claws flexing in anticipation.

On the ground, Davis Okoye and Dr. Kate Caldwell emerged from the wreckage of the helicopter they had crash-landed to escape the collapsing tower. Davis wasted no time, helping Kate toward a nearby military truck. She began urgently relaying a message to Russel, who can help them to tell Collonel Blake to call of the air strike.

> "This is Caldwell. We still have surviving civilians and military personnel on the ground. Call off the airstrike. I repeat—call it off!" But her message didn't get through as she was met with static she was about to drive the vehicle to the base when.

Across the way, Alex turned his gaze toward them. Davis and Kate froze .

For a moment, the tension was unbearable.

But instead of attacking, Alex simply snorted and turned his head—eyes now focused elsewhere.

With a burst of rubble, George emerged from the remains of the tower, cured and no longer under the control of the signal. He shook off dust and debris, but his eyes narrowed when he spotted Alex. A low growl rumbled from the back of his throat.

Alex didn't react. He didn't need to.

Davis stepped in front of George quickly, holding up both hands.

> "Whoa, whoa—easy, buddy! He's not the enemy."

George looked between Davis and the wyvern-like creature, then back again. He huffed but didn't charge.

Davis looked to Alex and muttered, more to himself than anyone, "Something in my gut says… he's on our side."

Suddenly, the ground trembled.

A moment later, Lizzie exploded from the rubble, her massive spiked body slithering and crashing across the streets. Right beside her, Ralph bounded forward, howling with rabid glee as debris scattered.

All eyes locked on the two.

A tense silence filled the air.

Then—George stood tall, beat his chest, and let out a booming roar.

Alex responded in kind, unleashing a deafening, echoing screech-roar, his wings flexing wide as wind swept around him.

Lizzie snarled and returned the roar with venomous rage, while Ralph arched back and let out a piercing howl.

No more words.

No more hesitation.

They charged.

George barreled toward Lizzie like a freight train. Alex launched forward at Ralph, wings angled, claws outstretched.

The fight had begun.

-

George roared, gripping a twisted I-beam still lined with concrete. With raw fury, he swung it like a baseball bat, slamming it beneath Lizzie's jaw with a sickening crack. The mutated crocodilian recoiled violently, crashing back into a nearby building and reducing it to rubble.

Across the battlefield, Alex twisted his body just as Ralph launched himself through the air. The oversized wolf collided mid-pounce—only to be intercepted by Alex's tail in a punishing whip. The impact sandwiched Ralph between Alex and a high-rise, glass shattering as the beast howled in pain.

Alex prepared to press the attack—but miscalculated.

Ralph, faster than expected, erupted from the crumbled façade and lunged jaws-first at Alex's face. Instinctively, Alex coiled to tail-whip again—but this time Ralph caught the appendage in his jaws and tossed him like a ragdoll. The dragonic beast crashed through another skyscraper, sending debris raining down in every direction.

As Ralph closed in for a follow-up strike, George charged from the flank, grabbing the mutated wolf mid-run. He tried to throw Ralph aside, but the beast twisted in midair, gliding with the aid of the membranes on his limbs and landing next to the now-recovering Lizzie.

From the wreckage, Davis Okoye observed it all in stunned silence.

Grenade launcher in hand, he had been preparing to assist George—but now, watching these monsters level entire buildings with every blow, he realized the truth:

> "This is beyond me…"

Amidst the chaos, Alex burst from the ruins of the skyscraper, visibly annoyed.

> "That's what I get for spamming the same damn move," he grumbled inwardly.

Determined to regain momentum, Alex took to the air, wings booming as he gained altitude. His eyes locked on Ralph, who crouched, ready to meet him.

They collided midair.

Alex's taloned legs snapped forward like an eagle's, grabbing Ralph's face and driving him downward. The moment their combined weight slammed into the ground, concrete cratered beneath them.

But before Alex could land the finishing blow—

WHAM!

Lizzie's massive tail swung like a wrecking ball, smashing Alex square in the jaw. The blow hurled him across the battlefield, straight into George. Both titans crashed to the ground in a tangled heap of limbs and snarls.

Debris rained down. Dust choked the air.

And yet—the battle had only just begun.

Monarch Headquarters – Undisclosed Location

At the nerve center of Monarch, alarms buzzed and screens flickered as satellite feeds displayed four kaiju clashing amidst the crumbling skyline of San Francisco.

Technicians and analysts scrambled to make sense of the battle as high-ranking officials debated in hushed but urgent tones. Some argued for immediate intervention. Others warned that any move could escalate matters.

One man remained silent until he couldn't anymore—Dr. Ishirō Serizawa.

He stared at the live feed, eyes narrowed behind his glasses. The colossal black wyvern with obsidian scales and bladed wings was wreaking havoc, but his strikes were precise… intentional. He was fighting the monsters, not the humans.

A technician approached. "Sir, we dug up archived satellite data and matched genetic patterns. The dragon in San Francisco—he's Setan Ular."

Serizawa's heart sank.

Setan Ular—code-named and dismissed previously as a low-threat cryptid. A mistake.

> "We neglected him," Serizawa said solemnly. "And now… he's evolving."

The two MUTOs were still fresh in the minds of the global community. Setan Ular was not a titan yet, but if allowed to continue this exponential growth...

> "If he reaches Destroyer-class," Serizawa warned, "he could rival Godzilla himself."

Though Alex—Setan Ular—had shown no hostility toward humanity, that could change. Monarch couldn't take the risk.

> "Scramble the fighters," Dr Houston Brooks ordered coldly. "If he survives this battle... we take him down."

Back to the Battle – San Francisco

The ground quaked beneath the towering forms of George and Alex as they struggled to regain their footing from the last punishing collision.

Suddenly—Ralph's tail whipped forward, a volley of bone spikes launching through the air like missiles.

Alex reacted instantly—his wings snapped forward, folding protectively in front of himself and George. Ting-ting-ting! The spikes bounced harmlessly off his newly evolved, reinforced membranes.

In one fluid motion, Alex leapt skyward, wings flaring wide as he gained altitude—then tucked them in tight.

He dove.

With a sonic boom, Alex body-slammed Lizzie, cratering the pavement beneath her. The force was immense—his own obsidian scales cracked, some splintering under the stress—but the impact worked.

Lizzie was dazed.

Not wasting a second, Alex folded his wings back and lunged forward—his extended claws slamming into Lizzie's left eye, gouging it out in a spray of black ichor.

Lizzie shrieked in pain, tail thrashing, buildings collapsing in her rage.

Ralph, seizing the moment, bit into Alex's right wing, pulling him away—only for George to charge in, slamming a Superman punch into Ralph's ribs with primate fury.

Ralph staggered. Let go.

That was the only opening Alex needed.

Squelch.

His tail moved like a spear, piercing through Ralph's skull with brutal precision.

The mutated wolf collapsed, twitching once, then going still.

> DING! You have hunted Mutated Wolf – +10,000 EVs

Alex didn't even glance at the system interface. He didn't need to.

They weren't done yet.

Because now... Lizzie was furious.

And hell had only just begun.

So how was the chapter.
