Chapter Three (Edited)

"Hey, Alex, do you plan on watching the latest episode of Swords and Sorcery today?" a boy with dark hair asked as he ran toward another boy with black hair and black eyes, who was holding a pair of science books.

"Yeah, maybe. If I'm not too busy, I guess," Alex replied as the two boys walked out of the school hallways.

"Bro, you need to hurry up and catch up—you're being left behind," the boy said.

Alex turned to him with one eyebrow raised. "You think you're one to talk? You're literally just on episode 10, and there are, like, a thousand episodes."

The boy coughed awkwardly, making Alex chuckle at his friend's embarrassment.

Moments later, they both heard a loud car horn. Looking in the direction of the sound, Alex sighed, said goodbye, and walked toward a sleek black limousine parked outside the school.

As he approached, a large, burly man stepped out of the limo and opened the door for him. Alex stepped inside without a word, and the man followed him in. The car drove off into the distance.

The limo soon arrived at a large mansion that easily outshone every other house on the street.

"Haah... back to this prison again," Alex thought as he stepped out of the car and walked to the front door.

"Welcome home, young master," a servant greeted, collecting his bag.

Alex replied with a wave and walked into the house. "Mom, I'm home!" he shouted, his voice echoing through the vast halls as he made his way upstairs.

At the moment, only his mother and a few servants were home. His "stupid" dad was at work, and his sisters were still in school—naturally, all of them were part of the student council.

Alex reached a large door with his name, Alex Smith, written at the top. He pushed it open and stepped into an enormous room, spacious enough to pass as a small apartment.

It was pristine—cleaned daily by the staff. A large bed sat at one end, and beside it, a study table cluttered with books and a laptop. Opposite that was a larger table with a widescreen TV mounted above it and various snacks scattered on top.

The room had all the traits of a typical teenage boy's space—except way more luxurious.

He took off his uniform and changed into a basic sweatshirt and sweatpants from his wardrobe. Then he walked over to the TV, turned it on, grabbed a snack, and used the remote to scroll through his files.

He stopped at one labeled Swords and Sorcery.

"Now, I think the last episode I stopped at was when the MC was about to fight that Leviathan-level beast," he muttered, scrolling through the massive episode list before selecting one. Putting on his headphones, he settled in as the episode started.

His eyes widened as the battle began. The animation, the sound effects—it was all epic.

"Yes! Yes! Yes! You're about to win! No, don't use that move... Shit, this Leviathan is done for!" Alex shouted at the screen.

He couldn't hear a thing around him. The headphones blocked everything out—including the sound of his own voice.

"Phew, best episode ever! Now I understand why it was so hyped!" he said aloud, taking off his headphones. His throat was dry from shouting so much.

He grabbed a bottle of water and chugged it. "Damn, I'm hungry... but I'm too lazy to go downstairs," he sighed, glancing at the bowl of food a servant had left earlier. He hadn't noticed it while binge-watching.

He coughed awkwardly, walked over, grabbed the bowl, took a bite—and immediately spat it out.

"Ugh, this crap is cold! Luckily, there's a microwave here. I need to heat this up quick and get back to the episode."

He shoved the food into the microwave and, for some insane reason, set the timer to one hour. Then he rushed back to his seat, slapped on his headphones, and disappeared into the anime again.

Five minutes later, the microwave started beeping. He didn't hear it.

Thirty minutes passed. Smoke was already creeping through the room, but Alex was too immersed to notice.

By the time the hour was up, the room was engulfed in smoke. He finally removed his headphones.

"COUGH! COUGH! Shit, this is why they banned me from cooking!" Alex yelled as he ran to the microwave. He flung it open.

"What the fu—BOOOOOOM!"

His words were cut short by a violent explosion that rocked the entire room.

"Fuck! Wait—what the hell? Did I just die?" Alex asked, blinking into total darkness.

This wasn't how he imagined his death. No beautiful nurse holding his hand, no gentle fade into sleep. Instead, his last sight had been the ugliest, blackest piece of burnt food ever created by mankind.

Even worse, his final words were literally "What the fu—".

What kind of stupid last words were those?

Before he could finish his mental breakdown, a bright light pierced the darkness. He could hear voices now—faint, soft, and clearly female.

" Maybe they managed to save me?"

Though hazy, he could make out some of their words.

"It's a boy!"

"The fuck are you talking about? Of course I'm a boy."

"Congratulations, miss! You've had your son!"

"What the hell is going on? First son? What does that even mean? Hey! What's happening?!"

He tried to speak, but nothing came out. Instead, only gibberish spilled from his mouth. His vision slowly returned, and the first thing he saw was a pair of bright blue eyes staring back at him.

" A lady! Hey! Explain what's happening!"

He tried to speak again—but again, only baby gibberish came out. The woman smiled.

Blue hair framed her face like a waterfall. "My son," she whispered warmly.

"THE FUCK?!"

Alex stared up at her in confusion and panic, but instead of words, a loud, newborn cry filled the room.
