It's only been around 5 years. A lot has changed. For starters, The heavenly beings created mankind. They spread out, slowly building the nations for each god. Chengying was struggling very hard with controlling her ability. She'd visit Mother Aura begging for help. A new element was recently born, fire. Of course, they controlled their abilities right away. Chengying would spend the nights confused and frustrated. It got to the point where she had mental breakdowns. She never attended the meetings in Celestia. This led to the rest of the gods to worry. She would isolated herself.
Chengying was staring at her reflection in the ocean. Breathing slowly, she began bending the water. Her motions were smooth, and very precise. Although, as she tried creating a giant wave, it just formed into a small tide. She slowly held her hands out. Her fingers twitched, her breathing slowly began to shake. She fell to her knees. "Why…Why can't I make a simple wave?!". She grunted her teeth, before letting out a screech. She stood up quickly, motioning her hands to create the giant wave. Instead, the water began to freeze, creating a giant iscle with spikes. Chengying stepped back, horrified by the creation and made.
She held out her hands, before bending the water. To her surpise, it didn't change into ice. "What in the world?" She slowly approached the giant iscle she created. Amazed yet horrified, she was in awe. "I…I made this…" She was proud. She quickly made the water into a ball, making her go to Celestia. She ran quickly to the middle of the glass domain. "Mother! Mother!!" She called out to Mother Aura. *whoosh* Chengying smiled. "My dear…why are you up so late?~" Chengying held out her hands. "Mother..I-I created something so- beautiful…" Mother Aura smiled. "Good job my dear, you are starting to learn to control your ability." Chengying looked up at Mother Aura. "I created…Ice." Mother Aura's eyes lit up. "You…what?" Chengying nodded while smiling. "Yes! Unbelievable isn't it?" Mother Aura's face said differently. "How…how were you able to even do that?…" Mother Aura's voice sounded concerned.
Chengying's smiled faded. "Is…is there a problem?…" Mother Aura sighed, her face showing an upset expression. "You're only supposed to bend water…and you're saying you- created ice?" Chengying's face was scared. "Do you realize, how dangerous ice is?" Chengying was confused. "I-I don't see the problem with it! Ice is associated with water, isn't it?" Mother Aura sighed. "I gave you the ability to only bend one element, not create new ones, you disappoint me." Chengying's eyes lit up. She shook her head.
"I…I don't understand? What's so wrong with creating a new element?" She held out her hands, her expression was blank. "Chengying…my dear. Water may not seem so dangerous, but it can create ice with can become spikey and deadly." Chengying fell to her knees. "So you're saying I'm a monster? FOR CREATING A NEW PART OF MY ELEMENT?" Chengying's breathing became heavy. "I've…tried…so many times to not fail…" Tears rolled down her cheeks. "All I ever- wanted to do was not be useless." Mother Aura looked at her. "Everyone, but me…are able to control their abilities…" Chengying looked up at Mother Aura with an angry expression. "So why is it when I succeed, you call me a monster?" Chengying stood up slowly.
"All I wanted was for people not to view me as a failure." She clenched her fists. "I'm sorry I'm not…perfect like the others- like Thonia." Mother Aura's expression softened. "To be quite honest Chengying, you have failed me." Mother Aura sighed. Chengying created a ball, vanishing. Mother Aura created a cloud ball. "Yes, we may have a problem in regards to the water goddess."
Chengying went back to her chamber. She zoned out, staring at the mirror she created out of water. *"You created ice?"* *You're a monster!"* *"you'll never amount to anything."* Chengying held out her hands, before crying. She looked at herself once more in the mirror. "Why…what am I doing so wrong? Will I truly never amount to anything?…" Chengying sobbed, covering her ears. She looked at the mirror, before hitting it to break it. It became ice. Chengying gasped, before screaming and sobbing more. After her melt down, she decided to lock herself up. She made the waterfall into ice, covering the entrance of her chamber.
She spent the following years, locked away. Her nation slowly built itself, the citizens wondered where their god was. Does Chengying come back to her senses, and remove herself from isolation? Or remain hidden away?
