Chapter 126 - EP.126 – Aven’s Past Unsealed

The floating city of Aurellion slept beneath veils of gold.

But in the eastern wing of the Judgment Hall, Aven stood in silence, facing a sealed chamber. One that no one was allowed to enter—not even him.

Until now.

[Authority Override: Voiceprint Matched – Aven T. Caelest]

Access Granted.

The door opened with a hiss of ancient gears.

Inside was a vault—not of treasure, but of memory.

Dust-coated scrolls. Cracked crystals. Fragments of the first sins ever recorded under Divine Law.

And in the center—a coffin.

Flashback – 12 years ago

Aven knelt beside a body.

His brother.

Slain by an unregistered anomaly, a being that bore no divine mark, no alignment to law—only wrath and hunger.

The gods called it "a system corruption."

But Aven remembered it differently.

It smiled as it killed.

Like it was free.

Aven, still a child then, held his brother's cold hand.

"Why… didn't the law protect you?"

Present

Aven now stood in front of that same coffin—sealed since that day.

He opened it slowly.

Inside was a mirror—not of glass, but of memory.

It showed Jiwoon.

Not the boy now… but the shadow behind him.

The echo of something long feared.

"Same signature," Aven whispered.

"You're not just another wielder. You're… the same source."

"The corruption lives on."

He stepped back, trembling—but not in fear.

"No. I won't let the past repeat itself."

He grabbed the golden spear beside the coffin—his brother's weapon.

"If the gods won't act… I will."

Meanwhile – Divine Academy

Jiwoon stirred in his sleep.

The gauntlet on his arm pulsed once—then stilled.

But in his dream…

A golden eye watched him from a world of chains.
