My name is Jake.
Back on Earth, I was handsome, strong, and smart — the full damn package.
But thanks to some dumb twist of fate, I got tossed into another world… along with two useless losers.
They assigned us mentors.
Four-Eyes, Okabe?
He got the Sword King — a monster of a man, nearly three meters tall, and looks like Hell itself owes him rent. Creepy bastard.
The girl, Anna?
She got an Archmage — some ancient hag whose face looks like it fought a war against time… and lost. Zero envy there.
And me?
The greatest spearman in the world.
Two men stood on the field.
Jake — the newcomer with a killer's eyes.
Lancer — the strongest spearman in the world.
He wore lightweight sapphire-blue armor, and even through it, his muscles looked carved from iron. Blue hair. Ice-blue eyes. A color combo so rare, it turned heads even on Earth — and in this world? He looked like the heavens themselves branded him chosen.
Jake crossed his arms, unimpressed.
— So what are we training? Throwing spears or something?
Lancer chuckled, voice calm but sharp.
— Nope. First, we build the base.
Weighted push-ups.
Weighted squats.
Weighted pull-ups.
Running — with weight.
He stepped closer, eyes locked with Jake's.
— You need to feel your body like it's someone else's pain.Otherwise, you're nothing.
[Day 1]
I was running like a maniac.
All day.
Non-stop.
And one thought wouldn't leave my head:Why the hell am I even running?!
I tried to escape. Dead serious. But Lancer… that bastard is unreal.I was this close to the exit — and he just appeared next to me in a blink. Like he damn teleported.
I even tried to fight him.And I'm good at fighting. But he just grabbed my arm and flipped me like a ragdoll.
So yeah.No choice left.Just run.Run.And run some more.
My legs were shot. Sore. Screaming. All I could think was:Next chance I get, I'm out of this hellhole.
And then, at the end of the day — a blue screen popped up:
[Endurance – Rank F]
[Speed – Rank F]
I froze.This… this is a SYSTEM?!
Hell yes. I knew it. I'm special. There's no way I'm just some "Hero".
Then Lancer walked up, glanced at the screen, and grinned:
— Oh, new skills? You're learning fast. —He patted me on the shoulder.
…That's when I realized.Everyone has a system.
