Chapter 11 - Chapter 11

[Kael's Perspective]

Kael headed straight to his bedroom. He remembered that Miria had left some clothes upstairs. So, it made sense that there would be some in his room too.

He walked to the door that led to the corridor with the party members' rooms. He felt uneasy as he passed Elin's bedroom. He had no idea why, but the constant feeling that she could be watching him at any time had been bugging his mind.

In his bedroom, he found the clothes he needed. They all looked similar—soft white cotton. The pants were likely made of canvas, something like peasants in medieval times would've worn.

He put his clothes on the bed and sat next to it, with his gaze turned down.

Vyra is such an interesting woman. She is of the cultured type. She is also suspicious of Miria, the closest thing I will get to an ally around here; of course, she could be messing with me... I want to believe in her.

So far, I've been bombarded with information. That I probably don't remember half of. It's difficult to keep track of it all. I wish I'd been given more freedom.

But, it's hard to imagine I could survive alone. The fact that someone like Elin exists and can be behind me at any time is scary enough. Enough with this self-pity; my best bet is learning. Maybe running afterward.

Kael grabbed his clothes and a towel from the wardrobe. He opened the door without thinking twice. Then he closed it behind him. The lighting there wasn't fancy. Just a few lamps and a small chandelier hung from the ceiling.

He walked over to the last door of that corridor and grabbed the doorknob, feeling a strange sensation wash over him. A sensation that he had felt before. But this time it was more visceral.

He felt the tip of a pointy object pressing softly against his neck. His heart raced and sweat dripped from his head, but he didn't struggle.

What now?! Give me a break!

Instead, he remained silent, knowing that any big reaction might make things worse.

"Who- who's there?" Kael asked as his body stopped moving altogether.

The only response he got was the sensation of that sharp object disappearing. Since he wasn't dead, it's safe to assume whoever was behind him had apparently given up.

To be sure, he looked back to see if the person threatening him was still there. Nothing, that only made him even more confused and nervous. He trembled as he reached for the doorknob. He quickly opened the bathroom door and slammed it shut. Then, he shifted the key right away.

Can I get a break for a bit? What the hell wants me dead so badly?

His gaze shifted to the bathroom, which was designed rather elegantly. A large, round bathtub sat in the center of the room. To the left of Kael was the bathroom sink, and across from it was a toilet. The bathtub featured flowers and snakes, making it look nice.

It looks good. But this has no escape route at all. Do I take a bath anyway? Dammit, it could also be Elin playing pranks on me. Still, I don't think I could survive, even if I wanted to.

Kael stepped further inside the bathroom and put the clothes he had found in his bedroom on a table.

What's bad about dying again? If there's a truly unstoppable force outside that door, I won't be able to stop it.

He grabbed his clothes and tossed them into an empty basket. Then, he turned the faucet handle and watched the water fill it. And took a deep breath.

This feels like watching an airplane crash, but from inside the plane. Maybe I was really meant to die after all. Since I died not too long ago, I don't think it's that bad. Maybe it's just karma.

He sat in the bathtub, watching the locked door. He felt a mix of anticipation and inevitability. Water filled the tub as he stared at the door.

Maybe they gave up.

Kael's eyes locked onto the door handle as it... inched to the side; the tension lingered in the air. A sharp clink echoed through the silence, the only sound he could hear besides his heartbeat.

The door opened, and a familiar figure gazed back at him. It was Elin, who had that same expressionless face.

As I thought.

"What are you doing here?" Kael asked her, holding the bathtub edge. Feeling a bit tense upon seeing her.

"Nothing." She stepped toward him.

"Well, you can go then. No need to get closer—" She obviously didn't listen to him, stopping right in front of the bathtub. He placed his hands on his crotch, feeling a bit embarrassed.

"I will. Join." Elin replied in a dry tone.

Do I get a say. Its fine, as long as she's not trying to kill me; it's fine. There's nothing to worry...

He glanced down at the bathtub, thinking about how to get out of this situation as the sound of clothes hitting the floor reached his ears.

Wait, is she serious about it? Do I look at her, or is it disrespectful? I mean, she's the one entering the bathtub. I didn't force her to do anything.

She put her inside the bathtub that was still filling and sat right beside him. Even with his gaze turned down, Kael could clearly tell that her head was turned to him. He did his best to hide his groin. But trying to hide any sort of "physical stimulant" was getting challenging as time passed. Especially with her legs brushing against his. She acted alien to him, but she still possessed peerless beauty; difficult to ignore.

There's a chance it won't be a problem if she sees it. She might not care if she's seen it. I doubt she would be horny enough to ignore and pounce on it. I know about last night, but she could just be trying to help me get mana... No chance I believe that. Too many coincidences.

Kael felt her face approaching his and murmured, "Are you. Okay?"

I'm okay. Of course I'm okay, ARE YOU OKAY?!.

He responded with a nod, scared of her intentions. He couldn't shake the feeling that the sharp object on his neck moments ago had come from her.

Her right entered Kael's vision as she slipped her left arm behind him. And her right hand rested on top of his as he was still trying to cover his crotch.

"Stop. Hiding it." She whispered once more. With a pause between each word, a rush flowed through his body to his groin. It quickly became painful to push down what he was trying to hide.

So, he took his hands away from it. Popping out his erect penis, with now a size that he was certain he had never had.

How did it become this big? Wait, this sensation? It's not only blood flowing through it. It's mana too!

Kael looked at Elin's left hand, and now he could see mana flowing from it to his body.

What is she doing? Don't tell me that—

Without giving too much for him to think about, she enfolded his erect shaft with her right hand.

"What. Is this?" He glanced at her wide eyes, noticing them scan it. Almost like she was trying to comprehend what it was. She muttered, "Weird."

"If-if it's weird... can you release it?" he stammered the question.

"No."

What did I do to deserve this? She's so sexy, but she talks like a caveman. She's strong enough to rip a hole through the wall; if she presses with her full strength, it will pop. AHHHHH!!!!

"Okay, just don't bruise it..."

"It is. Warm."

Kael kept shifting his gaze to it; the image of her hand holding his dick was both sexy and utterly horrifying. To make things worse, he saw mana flowing from her right hand straight to it.

He felt the same sensation from when he had kissed her and Vyra. But this time it was more intense. His penis twitched in her hand as pleasure rushed from it to the rest of his body.

She is playing stupid. Why the hell would I think she doesn't know what she's doing? This woman clearly isn't stupid.

Upon realization, as his body trembled from the euphoria he felt. He shifted his gaze to hers once more and noticed a small smirk immediately fade.
