Yoncher sat up in silence, shaking his head.
Emotions could sometimes be so subtle—indescribable and hard to put into words.
The feelings Shisui held for him were so deep and sincere.
The intense emotional fluctuations from the other three made Yoncher feel a bit of warmth within this crazy world.

[Hashirama Senju Cell Fragment: 1]
Yoncher glanced over his Attribute Panel and clicked on the plus sign next to "Three-tomoe Sharingan."
[Evolving Three-tomoe Sharingan into Mangekyo Sharingan requires consuming 50,000 Emotional Value points. Current Emotional Value insufficient. Evolution unavailable!]
"50,000 Emotional Value points..."
Even I expected evolving into the Mangekyo Sharingan wouldn't be easy, but seeing that number still brought a bitter smile to my face.
In comparison, acquiring Hashirama Senju's cells seemed much faster.
I'll just have to slowly accumulate more Emotional Value for the Mangekyo Sharingan.
After silently contemplating his current 303 Emotional Value points for a moment, Yoncher invested 300 points into increasing his Chakra Control Level.
[Chakra Control Level: 13.1]
Mastering chakra control was key to boosting a ninja's strength and performance on the battlefield.
This became especially evident later among the Konoha Twelve—including Haruno Sakura and Yamanaka Ino.
Sakura's chakra control far surpassed both Naruto and Sasuke—and even put her well above Ino, her long-time rival.
While Naruto and Sasuke struggled to walk up trees using chakra, Sakura already mastered sending chakra to her feet, effortlessly running straight up tree trunks.
On the "Databook," Ino's speed rating was 5 while Sakura's was only 2.
Yet during their fight in the manga, Ino stood no chance against Sakura, whose mastery of chakra control gave her the edge.
As an ordinary civilian-born kunoichi, through exceptional chakra precision alone, Sakura managed to learn Tsunade's monstrous strength technique and the Strength of a Hundred Technique.
Only then did she confidently apply one of Tsunade's genjutsu upon herself, saying,
"Tsunade-sama, I think I've finally caught up with them two!"
Jokes aside, Sakura's talent clearly outclassed Tsunade's other student Shizune.
Shizune trained in the same batch as Yoncher, which made her over a decade older than Sakura.
Having followed Lady Tsunade for years, Shizune never showed any signs of having learned either Tsunade's monstrous strength or her Hundred Seal techniques.
Yoncher quietly observed the numbers on his Attribute Panel before closing his eyes to sense his internal state.
But his Chakra Control Level only increased by 0.3. The change felt barely noticeable.
Based on the skills displayed by Jonin he remembered encountering, Yoncher estimated that an average Jonin's Chakra Control Level should be around 13.
As for Kakashi, who was eleven years old at the time, his Chakra Control Level was probably below 10.
To surpass elite Jonin in this aspect, this value might need to reach above 20.
Increasing the Chakra Control Level not only enhanced speed and power of Ninjutsu, but also improved speed and strength of Taijutsu.
Moreover, once a certain threshold was reached, it should reduce the number of hand seals required for all Ninjutsu.
In theory, if someone raised their Chakra Control Level high enough, they could achieve what the First Hokage, Hashirama Senju, could do—simply clap their hands and summon anything in an instant.
If the Chakra Control Level kept rising—even without the Sage's Body like the Six Paths—one might become like the Otsutsuki Clan, capable of releasing various forms of Ninjutsu purely through chakra flow and transformation, without needing any hand seals at all.
However, both "Chakra Control Level" and "Chakra," as well as "Ocular Power," required large amounts of Emotional Value.
Especially Chakra.
The amount of Emotional Value needed to reach the level of Hashirama Senju would be enormous.
Even more emotional value would be required for the Otsutsuki Clan.
Yoncher jumped up from his bed.
After finishing his washing and cooking something to eat, he immediately left home toward the Ninja Academy.
Just arriving at the academy's main gate,
a very familiar voice came from behind.
"Yoncher-kun, you really are back!"
Might Guy arrived wearing his signature green spandex, head downward, feet upward, quickly 'running' toward him.
"Huff!"
When he reached in front of Yoncher, Guy pushed slightly with both hands, flipped his body midair, then landed steadily.
"Yoncher-kun!"
Before Yoncher could say anything, Guy tightly grabbed both of Yoncher's arms: "You're really back! Umino Ikkaku-sensei told us you were back and I just knew you'd be okay!"
"I'm fine, Guy." Seeing Guy with slightly reddened eyes, Yoncher felt a warmth in his heart.
Actually, they hadn't interacted much.
From memory, he had only helped Guy a few times when Guy was mocked or bullied, and invited Guy out for several bowls of spicy curry rice.
Yet after that, Guy began treating him as a close friend.
Yoncher's social skills weren't bad either.
But during these ten missing days, besides Guy, only the gentle and kind Rin Nohara and Yoncher's own clanswoman and neighbor Momiji Uchiha had their emotional states reach the threshold.
Might Guy gave a thumbs-up: "Yoncher-kun! Youth blazes like the dawn of spring! Let's spar together! Let's sweat it out—let youth soar with pride!"
"Guy, you're always so hardworking, but," Yoncher smiled back, giving Guy a thumbs-up too: "Let's do it next time. I've just returned and haven't fully recovered yet."
"Yosh!" Guy shouted loudly: "Yoncher-kun, let's work hard together! We must pass the graduation exam and become true ninja!"
"And then, we'll become Chunin, and then Jonin!"
"This is our youth! Burn, youth, burn!"
[Emotion Value: 9 from Might Guy]
Guy's emotions were always this simple, passionate, sincere, and youthful.
As he stood there, even the sun seemed to lose its brilliance.
Yoncher watched Might Guy walk away and smiled slightly.
As for what Guy said about the graduation exam...
It wasn't something Yoncher took seriously at all.
In this ninja world, was there any place safer than the Ninja Academy?
What was so great about graduating?
Once you graduated, you'd immediately be sent to the battlefield as cannon fodder.
What was so great about becoming a Jonin?
Among the Twelve Guardian Ninja of Konoha, only Neji Hyuga had become a Jonin.
Then Neji Hyuga died.
The Will of Fire really was terrifying—it even surpassed Kotoamatsukami.
Poor Konoha had so many people who still didn't understand one thing:
There was a huge difference between "Follow me" and "You go first."
Yoncher planned to stay hidden in the Ninja Academy for another year.
He'd stay put until the Third Great Ninja War broke out.
Inside the Ninja Academy, there were the most children—and children's emotions were easiest to manipulate.
Most of the time, just one lollipop or a skewer of trio-colored candy balls was enough to win a kid's affection.
Even so, something about this timeline felt... off.
Looking at Guy's receding back, Yoncher narrowed his eyes.
Although the timeline in Naruto's world had always been somewhat chaotic, Yoncher clearly remembered that Guy had graduated from the academy at age seven and became a Chunin at eleven.
But right now, Guy was exactly eleven years old, and both he and Yoncher remained ungraduated.
Meanwhile, Obito Uchiha—who shared the same age as Yoncher—should have originally graduated at age nine, becoming a Genin, then became Chunin at eleven.
Yet now, Obito was already twelve but still hadn't graduated.
Rin Nohara hadn't graduated either.
Kakashi's timeline, however, was correct—five years old when he graduated from the Ninja Academy, six when he became Chunin.
Perhaps because of his arrival, like a butterfly flapping its wings, the storyline had begun subtly shifting.
"Hmm?"
Just as Yoncher thought of Kakashi, he saw that guy walking past him emotionlessly.
Ever since his father, Sakumo Hatake, committed suicide last year, Kakashi—who had always been quiet—became even more withdrawn.
Nothing interested him anymore.
He had become like a living corpse.
