Yoncher's eyes narrowed slightly.
If he wasn't mistaken, this should be the ultimate move of Second Mizukage Gengetsu Hozuki.
The Water Release: Water Gun Technique was a hereditary technique passed down through the Hozuki clan.
This technique allowed one to shape their hand like a pistol, firing liquid bullets from the fingertip capable of piercing enemies. It was a powerful and efficient secret water-style ninjutsu that could be activated without performing hand seals — those symbolic gestures used in ninjutsu.
In his past-life memories, during the Fourth Great Ninja War, the Second Mizukage Gengetsu Hozuki had used this technique to pierce Onoki's Sand Clone.
Similarly, during the Fourth Great Ninja War, Suigetsu Hozuki, fighting alongside Orochimaru on the battlefield, once blew off the head of a masked White Zetsu with this same technique.
What Yoncher had now acquired — Water Gun Technique: Barrage — was an enhanced version of the Water Gun Technique.
This technique achieved even greater speed, enabling frequent and dense barrages fired rapidly from both hands toward the front.
Slightly turning his body, Yoncher raised both arms and aimed at two large stones in the training area. His index fingers and thumbs formed gun shapes, while small water bullets gathered at the tips of his index fingers.
In the next moment, the water bullets shot out at extreme speed.
"Bang!"
Two liquid bullets pierced clean through the two rocks respectively.
Yoncher walked up to those two stones.
He saw tiny holes pierced clean through each rock. Around the holes were spiderweb-like cracks radiating outward, along with water marks.
Frowning slightly, Yoncher studied the damage with a sense of dissatisfaction.
Although he had fully mastered this technique, something about it felt quite imperfect.
Firstly, channeling chakra for this jutsu felt somewhat unsmooth and slow.
Secondly, the force wasn't concentrated enough. If the Second Mizukage had fired this technique, there shouldn't have been so many cracks or water marks around the hole.
In his past-life memories, only those who could transform their own bodies into water could perfectly control the Water Gun Technique.
But Yoncher hadn't yet mastered the Hydrification Technique.
So when performing this technique, the chakra flow encountered some resistance, significantly affecting both chakra circulation speed and the projectile speed of the Water Gun.
To resolve these two problems, he must either learn the Hydrification Technique or greatly improve the "Chakra Control Level" on his attribute panel.
At present, this technique still had tremendous room for improvement.
It might even be further developed, enhancing its attack speed and penetration power.
No hand seals needed. Continuous rapid-fire possible. Extremely strong penetrative power. Combined with the high-speed vision of the Triple Tomoe Sharingan, its penetrative power became incredibly terrifying!
Mastering just this single technique had caused Yoncher's overall strength to spike dramatically!
Nodding slightly, Yoncher stepped back several meters.
Then, feeling the chakra flowing inside his body, he unleashed another volley from both hands, firing rapidly at the two stones — continuously using Water Gun Technique: Barrage.
"Pop! Pop! Pop!"
Within moments, countless holes riddled the surfaces of the two boulders.
After several attempts, Yoncher had thoroughly analyzed the Water Gun Technique's power and the exact amount of chakra it consumed per "shot."
He planned to accumulate some Emotional Value over the next few days and then improve his "Chakra Control Level." That should make this technique even more powerful.
Suddenly, Yoncher's expression changed!
He quickly turned around, finger extended like a blade, pointing toward the entrance of Training Ground 20!
Outside those gates, Rin Nohara peeked in, staring wide-eyed at what she had just witnessed!
"Rin? How come you're here?"
Yoncher lowered his hand and walked toward Rin Nohara.
From her expression, she hadn't seen his earlier battle with Tsunade-sama.
But she had seen him casting the "Water Gun Technique – Barrage" against the rocks.
"Yoncher-kun..."
Rin blushed and nervously said, "I-I didn't mean to spy. I was just worried that Tsunade-sama might scold you, so I came to check on you."
"Oh, don't worry about that," Yoncher said. "Tsunade-sama has already left. Let's head back too."
"Okay!" Rin hurried closer, walking side by side with Yoncher, and softly asked, "Yoncher-kun, that jutsu you used just now..."
"Oh, that one," Yoncher replied matter-of-factly while making things up: "Since my grandfather was a disciple of The Second, our house has many powerful Water Release techniques passed down from The Second himself."
"I just messed around with them at home and picked up a little bit."
"I see," Rin nodded slightly.
Could someone really master such an incredibly powerful Water Release technique just by tinkering at home?
A single jutsu like that would probably wipe out an entire squad of Chunins instantly.
Back at the Ninja Academy, everyone used to mock Yoncher as "the dead last."
Yet he'd already learned such a formidable Water Release technique.
Rin couldn't help but turn her head slightly for another glance at Yoncher.
Coincidentally, Yoncher also turned his head at that moment.
Their eyes met briefly before Rin immediately looked away like a startled rabbit, her face blushing all the way to her ears!
"Rin," Yoncher said, "can you do me a favor and keep this a secret?"
"A secret?" Rin blinked slightly.
It made sense to keep quiet about a powerful technique—it wasn't unusual, after all.
But if he had such amazing talent, why hide it?
Like Kakashi.
Everyone knew Kakashi was a genius.
His teachers even pushed the class to study under Kakashi.
Wouldn't it have been better to be open about it, like Kakashi?
Though puzzled inside, Rin still nodded: "Sure, I won't tell anyone else. Don't worry."
"Thanks!" Yoncher smiled.
Rin hesitated before finally asking, "Yoncher-kun... you weren't really away from the village lately on a mission, were you?"
"My father said he saw you yesterday afternoon at the village gates. He mentioned you weren't wearing a shirt and had many wounds on your back."
Yoncher turned sideways slightly, catching the concern and care shining in Rin's eyes.
That didn't necessarily mean there was anything special between them—it's just that this kind-hearted, intelligent girl cared for her classmates the same way.
She seemed to have figured something out — as if she knew what kind of hell he'd been through.
But what was that really worth?
What you'd go through over the next year would end up being far worse than anything I ever suffered.
The entire ninja world would fall into catastrophe because of you.
Some bird-man didn't even try to bring you back to life, but instead, because of your death, he wanted to destroy this world — all while claiming he was doing it to rebuild one where you still existed.
Rin Nohara,
You were so kind and beautiful; you truly didn't deserve such an ending.
Yoncher couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
If he had enough strength, he'd rather change Rin Nohara's fate than alter Kakashi's mindset.
Yoncher said calmly, "It's normal for a ninja to carry scars. That's how they earn their medals."
With that, he picked up his pace.
Rin watched him walk away for a moment, pressed her lips together, then lowered her gaze and quickened her steps to keep up.
