"I'm… a fire user now." He was still grinning when a voice called out behind him.

Ichigo turned to see Riku, another Chūnin — arrogant, flashy, and always a thorn in his side. The guy specialized in lightning style and had a habit of mocking Ichigo for being "plain."
"Practicing your one jutsu already?" Riku sneered.
Ichigo, unusually calm, shrugged. "Yeah. Better than wasting time talking trash."
"Oh? Is that a new headband?" Riku smirked, stepping closer. "That some kind of joke? What are you now, the food ninja?"
Ichigo crossed his arms. "Actually, yeah."

Riku slammed into the ground, coughing.

Ichigo grinned. "You just got served."
