Isabella's tears flowed freely, her shoulders shaking with sobs. She clung to Emilia's hand tightly, playing the role of the innocent victim perfectly.
"How could you say such horrible things, Samantha?" she cried, her voice trembling.
"I thought we could be friends."
Richard's face darkened, his patience wearing thin.
"Samantha, that's enough. Apologize to Isabella right now," he demanded, his voice firm.
Samantha smirked, chewing her food loudly.
"And if I don't?" she challenged, her golden eyes gleaming with mischief.
Jessica snorted, shaking her head.
"You're asking for trouble, Sam," she warned, but there was a hint of admiration in her voice.
Jasper grinned, clearly entertained by the unfolding drama.
"Come on, Sam. Don't be a brat," he teased, nudging her with his elbow.
Emilia's patience snapped, and she slammed her hand on the table, making everyone jump.
"Isabella darling ignore the brat," Emilia said as she glared at Samantha. Emilia meant Isabella at the hospital when she saw her she felt familiar and a nurse asked if they are mother and daughter and asked Jessica if Isabella and herself are identical twins. So they brought her back home and tomorrow afternoon the dna test would come and they will find out. The thought of raising someone else daughter while her daughter suffered made Emilia so angry inside. Samantha on the other hand ignored everyone as she eat her food. Isabella eat her food and she frowned she was jealous Samantha had everything that showed of been hers! She should have been the one raised in the slums not her! Anyway tomorrow everything will come out! Let's see if she is still arrogant!
The tension in the room was palpable as the family ate in silence, the only sounds being the clinking of utensils against plates and the occasional sniffle from Isabella. Samantha continued to eat, her expression unreadable, but her golden eyes flicked occasionally to Isabella, studying her with a mix of curiosity and contempt.
As the meal came to an end, Richard cleared his throat, breaking the silence.
"Samantha, I expect you to apologize to Isabella before she leaves," he said firmly, his gaze stern.
Samantha rolled her eyes, pushing her plate away.
"And if I don't?" she repeated, her tone defiant.
Emilia's face flushed with anger, her hands clenched into fists at her sides.
"Samantha Dove Blackwood, you will apologize, or you'll be grounded for a month!"
"I refuse but since you asked I will apologize I…I…so so so sorry that I just be more sorry," Samantha said and rushed off upstairs laughing happily.
"SAMANTHA DOVE BLACKWOOD!" Richard shouted.
Samantha's laughter echoed through the house as she rushed up the stairs, leaving her stunned family behind. She slammed her bedroom door shut, collapsing onto her bed in a fit of giggles.
"Oh, that was priceless!" she exclaimed, wiping tears of mirth from her eyes.
"Their faces were absolutely priceless!"
Suddenly, a notification flashed before her eyes, and she sat up straight, her grin widening.
"Looks like my little stunt earned me some chaos points," she murmured, reading the message.
Chaos Points Earned: +30
Life Energy Gained: +10
Samantha smirked, satisfied with her handiwork. She knew that tomorrow's DNA test results would shake things up even more, and she was looking forward to seeing how Isabella would react when the truth came out.
With a yawn, Samantha stretched out on her bed, her mind already racing with plans for the next day. She closed her eyes, a small smile playing on her lips as she drifted off to sleep, the sound of her family's muffled arguments fading into the background.
The next morning the door was slammed opened when Emilia's opened at Samantha who was so angry! Because eating and sleeping is another way to earn life energy she doesn't like being bothered when she is sleeping she took a deep breath.
"What the hell, Mom?" Samantha groaned, pulling her pillow over her head to block out the sudden intrusion. "Can't you see I'm trying to sleep?"
Emilia stormed into the room, her face flushed with anger. She snatched the pillow away from Samantha's head, revealing her disheveled hair and sleepy golden eyes.
"Get up, Samantha. Now," she demanded, her voice shaking with barely contained rage.
Samantha sat up slowly, rubbing her eyes. She yawned loudly, purposely taking her time to annoy her mother.
"What's the rush? It's not like I have anything better to do," she said sarcastically.
Emilia's hand itched to slap some sense into her daughter, but she resisted the urge. Instead, she took a deep breath, trying to calm herself.
"The DNA test results are in, Samantha. And I think you should come downstairs and hear this with the rest of the family."
Samantha's eyes narrowed, a smirk tugging at the corner of her lips.
Samantha walked down the stairs and she sat down. Richard slammed the papers on the table.
"Samantha you aren't our daughter!" Richard said. Emilia sat down and looked at Isabella and treated her like a princess.
"My darling must have summer so much in the slums."
"Boo mom I was…mom," Isabella said as she cried and her blue eyes stared at Samantha with a smirk as if telling her she is a fake.
"Samantha, Isabella is my real twin sister humph you aren't!" Jessica said she was so happy that Isabella is her twin sister not Samantha. Samantha was indifferent she eat her apple.
"Than what now?" She asked indifferently.
The room fell silent, the only sound being the crunch of Samantha's apple as she ate it nonchalantly. Her family stared at her, expecting some sort of reaction, but she remained calm and collected.
Richard cleared his throat, shuffling through the papers nervously.
"Well, Samantha... since you're not biologically related to us, we've decided that you should leave the estate immediately," he said, his voice trembling slightly.
Emilia nodded in agreement, her eyes fixed on Isabella, who was still crying softly in her arms.
"Yes, we can't have you staying here and causing trouble for Isabella. She's the real heiress to the Blackwood fortune," she added, her tone cold and dismissive.
Jessica and Jasper exchanged excited glances, thrilled at the prospect of finally being rid of their troublesome sister.
Only Jasper looked at Samantha with a hint of concern, sensing that something wasn't quite right.
Samantha finished her apple, tossing the core into the nearby trash can with a perfect shot.
"So, that's it? You're just kicking me out?"
"Mom! If sister wants to stay she can stay but I…" Isabella said as she cried and shook her head.
"Don't worry the room she has now will be yours, Samantha you will help get the loops with people, as for the engagement with Hudson it's now Isabella."
"Do I look like a nanny to you?" Samantha asked. Isabella clenched her teeth together she wanted to make Samantha suffer Isabella threw her arms around her mother as she cried even more.
