"Beautiful," I replied honestly. "The color brings out your eyes."
She beamed at the compliment and added it to her growing collection of purchases. We had spent the last hour visiting three different stores, and her enthusiasm was infectious. Maya Shaw, her dedicated assistant, pushed the wheelchair while carrying several shopping bags with cheerful efficiency.
"Should we check out that jewelry store next?" Maya suggested, pointing across the corridor.
