The morning sun streams through the floor-to-ceiling windows of my penthouse as I adjust my tie in the mirror. Today's meeting with the Morrison Group requires my best presentation, and I've chosen a charcoal gray Armani suit that fits like it was made for me. Which it was.
Three weeks have passed since the parking garage confrontation with Chloe. I thought that would be the end of it.
I was wrong.
My phone buzzes with another blocked number. I don't answer. She's been calling every day, sometimes five or six times. When I finally changed my number, she started showing up at Ace Corporation's lobby. Security escorts her out now, but she always comes back.
"Ready for today?" Scarlett emerges from the bedroom, stunning in a navy blue dress that perfectly complements her professional confidence.
"More than ready." I offer her my arm. "The Morrison contract is ours."
