Chapter 4: The Room with No Locks
Part 2: All the Ways to Burn
The door clicked shut behind them. The bedroom was nothing like Bea expected—it wasn't cold or modern like the rest of Nova's place. It was warm, wrapped in amber light, with linen sheets and soft jazz whispering from somewhere invisible. A sanctuary of want.
Nova turned to her, slow and deliberate, like a storm deciding how hard to fall. "No more distractions," she said, stepping close. "Just you and me… no holding back."
Bea's breath came fast, her body buzzing with need. "I don't want soft tonight, Nova."
Nova raised a brow, her lips curling. "You want rough?"
"I want real," Bea said, voice low. "I want to feel everything you've been trying not to show me."
That did it.
Nova grabbed her waist, pulling her flush against her body. The kiss was fierce, teeth clashing, lips parting with a gasp. Bea moaned into her mouth, heat flooding her, her back arching as Nova's hands slid beneath her dress, firm and unrelenting.
Clothes peeled away like petals—slow at first, then desperate. Nova's fingers moved with reverence and hunger, exploring skin like a map she'd memorized and still needed to re-learn. She lifted Bea gently, setting her down on the bed with a look that said you're mine.
Nova hovered above her, breathing heavy, eyes burning. "You have no idea what you do to me."
"Then show me."
And Nova did.
Her lips kissed a trail down Bea's throat, collarbone, the soft curve of her breast. Her hands kept Bea anchored while her mouth drove her wild—every flick of the tongue, every suck and nip a tease and a promise. Bea's hands fisted the sheets, her body arching, trembling under every slow stroke.
When Nova finally slid between her thighs, it was slow. Maddeningly slow. Bea cried out, fingers in Nova's hair, begging and cursing and gasping for more.
"I want to ruin you for anyone else," Nova whispered between kisses, her voice thick and rough. "I want you to remember me—the way I touch, the way I taste, the way I make you fall apart."
Bea whimpered. "You already have."
Nova's name tore from her lips as the climax hit—hard and raw, like lightning down her spine. She shuddered, chest rising and falling in uneven waves, lost in the haze of it all.
Nova crawled up beside her, pulling her close, brushing sweat-damp hair from her face. "That was just the beginning, Bea."
Bea turned her face toward her, lips swollen, eyes dazed. "Then don't stop."
And Nova didn't.
