Chapter 8 - Chapter 8: Chip Cheating

"Why do you keep looking at that broken gun of yours?"

Logan Lane paused while stroking the sniper rifle. "How did you see it?"

Hamster: "..."

"Oh, I forgot that the cameras here are connected to your brain." Logan scratched his head. The heavy feel of this real thing cannot be replaced by a figurine. What's wrong with touching it?

Even though he hasn't fired a single shot yet.

But then again—

Chao!

Is intelligence 4 really that obvious?

"Seriously, buddy, tell me the truth—have you ever risked your life? Uh, or have you ever fought with others?"

Hamster felt that the guy in front of him was unreliable. Logan's eyes clearly showed a look of inexperience. How could he feel at ease?

"We were escorting goods, the car was blown up, and I was thrown out—and then I raced with my brothers and fired missiles, and by the way, I shot a few rounds and the mercenaries on the opposite side didn't even raise their heads. Does this count?"

"And I came from the Nether Dog after all."

Logan replied unhappily.

"Okay, awesome! I'll continue watching the hacker on the opposite side."

The hamster continued to work in cyberspace.

Logan stroked his chin, thinking if there was only one hacker in Manny's team, or was it Qi Wei? Or was it a little sister with white hair and colorful hair ends—

it was all his fault that he didn't remember anything and didn't catch up on the history of the creation of this team before reincarnation.

However, according to his familiarity and impression of this world before reincarnation, 2075 should not be Lucy most likely, and there will most likely be one more Qi Wei.

A queen.

Logan shook his head. This team of cyberpunks didn't know what to do with him and the hamster next. He was panicked.

Technical sniper rifle, charged penetration. Logan looked at the trigger of this big gun. He really wanted to know whether it would charge if he held the trigger tightly or if it would charge during the process of pressing it.

This question is very important. After all, a sniper rifle fires within a second.

It would be nice if he could try firing a shot here. The owner of the gun shop was afraid that Logan's big gun would penetrate the target and the concrete wall of the house, so he refused to let him try. As for firing a shot on the street, the external mecha of the Nether Dog could make him into a sieve.

The original owner of Logan's body had only touched rifles and pistols, and he himself was not a sniper in the Nether Dog camp.

Hey! Speaking of this, there is a way to make himself fire a few shots.

Logan's eyes lit up.

"Hamster, let me ask you a question."

"Uh-huh." The hamster was still busy, humming a syllable carelessly.

"Is it a technical sniper rifle? Does it charge while pulling the trigger, or does it charge by pressing it all the way down?"

Deathly silence.

There was only the ticking sound of the server and various devices.

"Are you kidding me, buddy?"

Logan thought seriously, "No."

The hamster, who had not gotten up from the hacker chair since he came in, sat up. He pulled out the network cable from the back of his neck. The modified artificial eye looked like the eyes of the "Ultimate Sword Saint," and his mouth opened wide.

"You are a damn idiot!"

Logan looked innocent, "I can only use a rifle in the Nether Dog. I'll ask what's wrong. Don't worry, I'm a very accurate shooter."

"Do you know why Hands gave you a sniper rifle?"

Logan nodded, "I know, a sniper can only fight one against many, and it's a waste of time!"

"You know you can't use a gun for this? Damn it! Why would Hands still give you a sniper rifle with confidence?"

Logan looked at the hamster in front of him who kept roaring and pacing back and forth.

This buddy is still not very stable.

If he is going to be shot, he will definitely be the first to be shot.

"Calm down, buddy!" The hamster talked to himself, as if to comfort himself.

What an insecure man. Logan shook his head slowly and said,

"The turrets you put outside are from Zeta Technology, right? And with your personality, there must be a lot of Zeta turrets in the backyard, right? That means I'm the first one to be hit by bullets outside, what are you afraid of? Even if I die, you can wait for the Nether Dog to come."

Logan just asked a question, but this guy reacted too much.

"You don't understand at all. The key point of this matter is that you have to live, understand, idiot?" The hamster was angry.

"But you have to take care of the hackers on the other side."

Logan replied indifferently.

"Okay, okay, you are awesome!" The hamster nodded, with an expression that you won.

A chip was thrown out of the hamster's hand, and Logan hurriedly caught it with his hand.

"This is a military technology thing. I modified it with Arasaka's technology. It contains simulated records of various behavioral signs of the company's snipers. By the way, you can learn the mode in it—"

"Damn it, I knew that old man Hands had bad intentions!"

How could the hamster not know that what he ate was vomited out?

The chip in Logan's hand looked like a trophy. The hamster was so angry that he gave the chip and lay back on the hacker chair, refusing to communicate from then on.

[Caller: Mr. Hands]

"Young man, you should have been to my friend's house, right?"

Logan nodded, "I have already been there, and I got the chip by the way."

The hamster on the hacker chair clenched his fists.

Hands was very surprised:

"This miser took my good stuff at a low price, saying he was going to study for a few days, but there has been no news for several months."

"I didn't have much hope, I didn't expect you to really get it back! It's your credit, just give it to me when the time comes."

"Hansen has a patrol of Hellhounds nearby, so we should put on a full show—it's better to be friendly, otherwise they will give up after getting the fake information."

Logan nodded.

"By the way, there will be a surprise tonight, I hope you can protect yourself." Hands hesitated for a moment, but still said it.

Surprise? Logan was a little confused.

"Good luck, my friend." Mr. Hands hung up the phone.

Logan thought for a long time and simply gave up.

The most important thing now is to insert this chip into the socket behind his neck and learn some sniper skills.

After all, cyberpunk teams like Manny's are really deadly.

Logan muttered a few words in his heart, and as the chip was inserted, a faint light curtain appeared in the hacker basement in front of him.

[Please adapt your weapon, testing is in progress...]

[Technical sniper rifle, confirmed.]

[Please empty the magazine and confirm that there is no possibility of firing. The military technology detection system will continue to monitor for you...]

Logan followed the steps and ejected the bullets.

The surroundings began to quickly become dim, and a three-dimensional scene composed of single lines emerged.

Logan's prosthesis, including the brain-computer interface, began to pour in some behavioral data. It seemed that a senior sniper was teaching him how to hold a gun, how to fire each shot, and other details. These are all things that require long-term learning.

And now, these companies have made it possible to train qualified soldiers in a short period of time.

[Please try to shoot.]

Buzz-bang!

Logan pressed the trigger, and this big gun would make a subtle roar when charging. Once the trigger was released, a strong energy would surge out of the muzzle!

[The first step, the sniper's point selection, according to the model teaching data, choose a position that is beneficial to oneself.]

Logan followed the steps. Thanks to his experience as a Nether Dog soldier, these things could be quickly understood with the model teaching.

During this process, Logan also felt that this was just training regular snipers.

There was a difference between being an ordinary sniper and an old sniper.

The experience that Logan lacked was in the streets full of gunfire and the bad land of military confrontation.

However, it was enough.

In the basement, a young man with a chip inserted for consciousness immersion training and a hacker lying on a hacker chair with an Internet cable plugged in—the scene was weird and quiet...
