The seal on the Hollow still held, but questions remained. Why had the Clock of Glory cracked? What did the vision of Julius's future self truly mean?
Answers, it seemed, lay beyond time itself.
The Time Council summoned Julius to the Chrono Apex, a place beyond Earthland's dimensions. Kairon traveled with him, along with Solas and Bloom. The others remained behind to strengthen the guild.
Upon arrival, Julius found himself on a platform of spinning gears suspended in the void. Floating scrolls buzzed around him like insects.
The council appeared—figures of light and shadow.
"You have interfered with fixed points," one intoned.
"You have prevented collapse," said another.
"You are chosen," they said in unison.
A gate opened behind them. "Pass through the Clock's Edge. There, you will find the First Chronomancer."
Beyond the gate lay the realm of Tychros, a world where time unraveled and rewound at will. Trees grew backward, rivers flowed uphill, and stars blinked in reverse.
They wandered for what felt like days, but may have only been moments. Finally, they reached a garden of frozen suns, and in its center sat a girl—barefoot, wrapped in bandages, and whispering to the soil.
"I am Eonel," she said. "The First Chronomancer. You carry my echo, Julius."
He kneeled. "What is the Clock of Glory?"
Eonel smiled, eyes glowing with galaxies.
"It is not a weapon. It's an anchor. A record of all things that might have been, and may still become. You are its current bearer."
She touched Julius's forehead.
"In the end, it won't be strength that wins this war—it will be memory."
A surge of visions hit him—worlds in ruin, futures rewritten, lives lost and regained.
When he came to, he held something new.
The Chronos Sigil—a mark burned into his palm, shaped like a watchful eye.
Back in Pendralune, Twilight Zone's halls began to glow faintly with golden gears. Something was changing. Preparing.
And far in the distance, beyond even the gods… something stirred.
