Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Mysterious Figure

The plane landed at Berlin Brandenburg Airport.

Passengers began disembarking slowly. Among them was a boy with brown hair and dark brown eyes, someone who didn't stand out at all.

He calmly grabbed his suitcase, blending into the environment with practiced ease. At the same time, he was communicating with someone on his phone.

The boy glanced around.

Everyone seemed to be in a hurry—some families were reuniting, others saying their goodbyes. A few notable aristocrats were also stepping off the planes.

"Haaaa..."A deep but calm sigh escaped the boy's lips. He was exhausted; the flight had taken a toll on his body.

He walked outside and looked around.

A black limousine came into view, and the moment he saw it, he headed straight for it.

As he approached, a man in a suit stepped out of the vehicle.

When the suited figure saw the boy coming toward him, he seemed to recognize him instantly.

"You must be Participant Number 1," he said.

The boy nodded in response, handing over his suitcase and a piece of paper.

After inspecting the document, the man handed it back and opened the car door.

"Please, have a seat. We'll take care of the rest," he said.

Without a word, the boy entered the limousine. The man followed, took the driver's seat, and started driving.

Inside, the boy began to examine his surroundings.

The moment he entered, the noise of the outside world vanished. With the door's soft click, it felt as if he had stepped into another reality. The interior was silent, orderly, and immensely comfortable. A faint scent of sandalwood lingered in the air—subtle yet noticeable.

Noticing these details, the boy's lips curled ever so slightly. The soundproofing gave him a sense of peace.

"Haaaa..."Another, louder sigh left him, more resolute this time.

He was tired. The place he was headed to was, for him, no different from hell—but it was also exactly where he needed to be.

Even if he didn't know why, something deep within his existence pulled him here.

Existence...A strange word—at least for the boy. Ever since he could remember, he had carried a vision in his mind. A goal he needed to reach... even if he didn't know what it was. The paths had been shown to him, but never the destination.

The place he was going now was one of those paths. Just another aimless road among many. But he was used to it. This wasn't his first time walking without purpose—and it wouldn't be his last. Just another journey, without an end in sight...

"We've arrived, sir. You may step out now," a voice said.

Pulled from his thoughts, the boy stepped out of the limousine.

The driver handed him his suitcase and drove off.

The boy stood in front of the Zukunft Arcanum Academy.

Once he was sure he was alone, he began walking.Without hesitation, he entered the academy.
