Chapter 14 - Chapter 14: Super Ability Advisor

"Why are you looking at me like that? Don't you say super abilities are gifts from God? I just have more gifts, nothing special," Leo Bright said, feigning innocence.

"The way you brag is really annoying," Melinda May remarked coldly.

It was clear she was a bit envious.

She didn't need combat support abilities, believing her fists could solve anything, but Leo's abilities, though not lethal, were highly desirable.

They were perfect for everything from cleaning to agent duties—a must-have for any home!

"Do you have more super abilities?" Phil Coulson asked, eyebrows furrowed with curiosity.

"Yes, though not many, there's still a couple left," Leo replied, looking like a landlord with plenty of surplus.

"What else? Can you make people even more handsome?" Fitz asked eagerly, ready to be Leo's next test subject.

Leo appreciated his enthusiasm and decided to oblige.

He tore a blank page from the notepad in Fitz's hand and activated 'A Complete Guide to Induced Marketing' on the eager Fitz.

As the skill activated, Leo began his pitch.

"See this paper? It's not just blank—it's an emotional expression. It can carry your greetings to loved ones, your care for friends, your affection for a partner, and your hopes for your children."

"It can be written to someone you know or even someone you don't. You can even write to me."

"How long has it been since you connected with loved ones?"

"When was the last time you checked in with friends?"

"..."

A simple piece of paper was transformed by Leo's words.

Creating demand where there was none, adding value where there was none. Before Leo could even deploy his tactics for developing distribution agents, Fitz had already purchased the paper's "copyright" for a thousand dollars.

Once the deal was done, Fitz felt it was worth every penny.

The others looked at Leo as if he were a wizard.

Just moments ago, they too had felt moved and nearly started bidding. Luckily, Leo's skill focused solely on Fitz, or there might have been a brawl over that piece of paper.

It was like magic!

Fitz, a genius with an IQ of 200, was completely ensnared.

"This skill is called Progressive Selling. It's my first time using it, and I didn't expect it to work so well," Leo said, pocketing the ten $100 bills nonchalantly.

Fitz realized he'd been tricked, yet he carefully folded the blank paper and tucked it away.

He didn't feel cheated...

In fact, he felt a bit enriched!

It was enchanting...

"That was eye-opening... do you have more?" Phil Coulson asked, his small eyes filled with big questions.

The others, including Fitz, looked at Leo expectantly.

But this time, none volunteered for experiments.

No one wanted to be coerced into parting with money again—it was an uncomfortable feeling.

However, Leo's next skill demonstration required no volunteers.

Activating the Tenfold Rashomon 1.0 Extra Edition.

"Bang"

With a puff of white smoke, a two-meter-tall iron door appeared. Its style and shape were almost identical to the cabin door behind them.

"Is this a replication ability?" Fitz exclaimed. If it could replicate anything, the scientific world would change overnight!

Scarce materials would cease to be an issue, scientific problems would be solved, and the world would undergo massive change, entering a new era of development.

Everyone looked at Leo eagerly, longing for answers.

"What are you dreaming about? If I could replicate, why would I need your money? Keep dreaming, buddy," Leo said with disdain.

He too wished for such an ability—imagine the wealth!

"I can only create doors. You're overthinking it," Leo said dismissively, conjuring several doors of various shapes.

"Uh... what's it for?" Simmons asked.

"Decoration?" May suggested.

"To sell?" Fitz wondered.

"A shield?" Phil Coulson offered.

Leo shrugged, "Aside from being a 'tumbler,' it's just a regular door."

Fitz and Simmons examined the doors, engaging in an intense debate filled with terms like vector and quantum.

Leo's head spun listening to them.

"That's all my abilities. I do have one more, as you guessed—I can sense danger, but it's only effective for me and it's real-time," Leo explained.

In his current situation, none of his abilities were truly his ace in the hole.

The real ace was getting a new ability each day, but Leo would never reveal that, even with persuasion.

"Your situation is unique... I need to report to the higher-ups," Phil Coulson said, scratching his new hairstyle with satisfaction.

In the past, he avoided scratching his head, worried he'd worsen his bald spots.

Now, he could scratch freely.

It was already 11 PM, and Leo took a moment to call Skye, assuring her not to worry.

But she didn't seem concerned, asking "You're not in the room?" leading to an awkward pause.

Simmons, enamored with her newfound smooth skin, cooked a feast for Leo in gratitude.

Leo was nearly poisoned.

MMP, that was not food for ordinary people!

Watching Fitz eat happily, Leo was impressed.

Simmons' cooking was nutrient-rich, supposedly great for the brain. For Leo, it was like chewing wax. Thankfully, the fruit salad was normal.

About 20 minutes later, Phil Coulson returned, looking serious yet expectant.

"Mr. Bright, on behalf of the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, I'd like to invite you."

"Would you consider becoming our team's super ability advisor?" Phil Coulson asked.
