Chapter 21 - Yui and The Western Front and Her Training

Between the shattered trees and the clouded skies,

Yui stood alone at the top of a hill overlooking the battlefield.

Her black cloak fluttered with the wind, her slender spear resting behind her back.

The voices of the soldiers echoed through the magic crystals:

> "Yui... Infernus has finished defense, Ryo has trapped most of the beasts, the army cleared the east, south, and north… only the west remains. You're alone."

The voice went silent… then whispered:

> "Everyone is counting on you, Yui."

---

Yui walks toward the beasts

She began walking calmly toward the beasts.

Step… by step…

And the monsters ahead began following her unconsciously,

As if something invisible was pressing against their souls.

Yui:

> "I shall grant you the blessing of death."

Ten solar swords, fully charged, appeared around her, spinning at the speed of light—perhaps faster. Their heat reached a thousand degrees Celsius.

A swirl of luminous darkness exploded on the horizon.

A thundering sound roared, and the air grew heavy…

It was her ultimate skill:

---

✦ Skill: "The Final Verse – Tenshi no Kata" (Heavenly Sword Form)

> "Art of the Sun Swords"

She raised her sword…

And vanished from sight.

In less than a second…

Every beast in the frontlines was shredded into peaceful ribbons of light.

Then the second wave… the third…

She moved through them like an invisible wind—

No sound, no screams… only silence.

And at last, she stood on a tree branch, summoned her technique,

and launched all ten swords at once toward the horde.

A second later—before the beasts even realized—

the swords detonated, followed by an explosion greater than fifty nuclear bombs.

The forest… burned from beginning to end.

---

The others watch through the crystals

Infernus, Ryo, Rin, and even the commanders…

turned their gaze westward.

They saw the faint black light ripple in the sky.

Rin (softly):

> "She's… far stronger than I ever imagined."

Ryo (watching):

> "Hey… that doesn't matter right now. What happened to her? Did she faint?"

---

A few minutes later…

All the beasts in the west… vanished.

Nothing remained but wind, drifting through the dead fields.

Yui sheathed her blade, closed her eyes—

and collapsed into the flames.

She whispered:

> "It's done… on my side."

Before her eyes closed… she saw a shadow approach and carry her away.

And then… blackout.

No one knows who saved her.

---

A month later — Yui is missing.

Yui's absence sparked concern in the city, but no one could locate her.

Not even the magic crystals could track her.

During that month, Ryo never stopped training.

He remained in total isolation, connected with his eye, Hazuki.

Sometimes he screamed.

Sometimes he broke.

Sometimes he smiled with despair…

But on the thirtieth day,

he opened his right eye—and the light within had changed completely.

The gold no longer stood still…

It flowed like galaxies.

> Right Eye – Hazuki: Level 2

❖ New Ability:

> ● Complete Probability Alteration

Whether it's battle, conversation, magic outcome, decision…

Ryo can shift the result to the one he "wants,"

as long as there's at least a 0.00001% chance of it happening.

❖ Limitations:

> ● Can only be used once a day.

● Each use erases another "possibility" from the future.

> "Do you wish to test it now?"

Ryo (with a faint smile):

> "No… I'll wait. I'll use it when I really need it… when I find Yui."

---

Elsewhere.

The walls of the dimension were shattered by sheer energy.

The place had no sky, no ground—only a deep blue fog that echoed internal lightning every few seconds.

At the center… a massive stone arena, cracked and scarred.

Yui stood there.

Barely.

Dripping sweat.

Eyes sparking.

Her electrified hair wrapped around her like whips of light.

Before her stood the same man who saved her…

His face still hidden by a black veil, but his voice—firm, decisive:

> "Thirty days have passed, and with every moment… you've died and returned."

> "Do you understand now?

That power doesn't come from emotion… but from control."

---

Day One – The Beginning of Training

Yui stood on a stone pillar above a sea of lava.

The instructor commanded her to release her energy continuously for ten hours.

> "If you stop… the pillar falls."

And it did.

Again.

And again.

Every time she stopped emitting electricity, she dropped into the inferno—

and was forcefully pulled back up.

> "Scream… cry… but don't stop!

In real battle, no one waits for you to recharge."

Days passed…

And despite the pain, Yui evolved.

From weakness to patience.

From patience to defiance.

From defiance… to power.

---

Day Seven – The Weapon is Given

"Galactic Core Spear"

It slept inside a box of light.

And the moment she touched it—

she felt it breathe, as if it were alive.

It shifted in her hands: from spear to arrow, to gauntlets, to dagger…

then finally shrunk into a small silver sword pulsing with stars.

> "I am Azo… the weapon's consciousness.

If you are unworthy… I will tear you apart from within."

Yui stared at it.

Then smiled.

> "I don't want you to serve me. I want you to fight beside me."

The light trembled…

And the weapon released its full power for the first time.

For her first test, she was ordered to unleash a strike.

She stood atop a mountain, raised the weapon high,

charged all her power—

and shouted:

> "Galactic Split – Core Strike!!"

With one blow, the mountain was cleaved in half,

and thunderbolts erupted from within like a miniature solar flare.

---

Week Three – Gravity and Slow Death

Next trial? Physical endurance.

She was placed inside a gravity field a thousand times her body weight.

Every movement shattered bones.

Every breath was pain.

She had to walk, run, jump, strike, dash—within that hell.

At first, she crawled.

Then, days later…

she ran.

Then leapt.

Then… flew.

---

Final Week – Real Combat Training: Magic and Speed

The instructor spoke softly:

> "Time to see the true lightning… not just light."

He taught her how to fuse her magic with awareness.

How to move at light speed invisibly.

How to launch attacks from ten directions at once.

She invented her own move:

> Lightning Shock – Thunder Barrage

Thousands of lightning mirages attacked her enemy in the same instant,

making any opponent feel like they were fighting a ghost army.

---

Final Day.

The battlefield shook.

The air around them cracked.

The instructor stood before her.

His blade covered in gray lightning.

His eyes sharp—as if he truly meant to kill her.

> "Attack me with everything you've got.

Let me see… are you still a girl crying in the flames?

Or are you now the lightning itself?"

In this world with no sky—

the wind didn't blow…

It was created.

Yui stood, her armor made of lightning.

Her eyes burned violet.

Her hair danced like electricity.

The instructor… stood still.

A statue of steel.

Unmoving.

Expressionless.

Breathless.

His gray sword buried in the ground,

but the pressure from it… nearly tore the air apart.

> "This is your final test, Yui.

I won't go easy… because the world won't."

Yui smiled calmly.

Her spear, Azo, responded to her will—

turning into a long blade of lightning, pulsing like a living heart.

> "I won't need your mercy.

I am the lightning."

---

BOOOOM!

Yui dashed—at the speed of light.

She appeared behind him.

Then in front.

Then from both sides—in under a second.

Her spear became twin daggers, slicing through the air—

but no hit.

A voice echoed in her mind:

> "His movement… I didn't see it."

Suddenly, the ground beneath her exploded.

The instructor appeared above, his hand coated in gray lightning.

> "First mistake."

He struck her in the stomach—

blasting her across the field.

She slammed her spear into the air to stop.

Blood trickled from her mouth…

But she laughed.

> "Good… finally, a foe I can't read."

---

Yui vanished.

No—she didn't vanish.

She became dozens of lightning clones.

Each clone launched a spear from a different direction.

Lightning Shock – Thunder Barrage!

> ZOOM!

CRACK!

BOOOOOM!!

For the first time—

the instructor raised his eyebrow.

He was struck from multiple angles.

Some were illusions.

But others… real.

His left shoulder's armor shattered,

and blood dripped from his side.

> "Hmm… interesting."

He raised a finger—

and fired a gray flash that pierced every illusion.

The clones broke.

Only Yui remained, breathing heavily.

---

> "Azo… now."

The Galactic Core Spear began to glow.

It vanished from her hand—

appeared as a shield, then an arrow—

then returned as a spear.

Then… it spoke in a calm, masculine voice:

> "Shall I unleash my full power, my lady?

This might destroy the dimension."

> "Yes."

Her eyes glowed fully.

Her hair turned into threads of lightning, dancing around her.

The ground cracked beneath.

The void sky turned violet.

> "True Spear Technique:

Time Split – Existence Sever!!"

She leapt—

and stabbed the air itself.

Reality split—like she tore through space-time.

A wave of thunder erupted, divided into three layers:

1. Physical Lightning – tears the body.

2. Spiritual Lightning – shreds the mind.

3. Temporal Lightning – slows time on the enemy alone.

The instructor planted his feet.

But for the first time… he staggered.

His left arm was partially torn.

His armor crumbled.

---

He stepped toward her.

Slowly.

Step by step.

His eyes now… held something new.

Pride.

> "You've surpassed all my expectations, Yui."

He vanished.

Reappeared behind her.

> "But remember… I created this lightning."

He swung his sword at her back—

But she anticipated it.

She turned—

and aimed her spear straight at his heart.

Time stopped for a moment.

He halted his blade.

She stopped her spear.

Silence…

Then he said:

> "Well done."

Her spear fell.

And so did she.

On her knees.

Breathing hard.

Hands trembling.

But he… was smiling.

---

After the fight

He sat beside her and lifted his cloak for the first time.

His face was young—yet carried deep age.

His gray eyes held pain, wisdom, and calm.

> "From now on, you are no longer a girl fighting for survival.

Now, you are the thunder… for everyone."

> "What's your name?" Yui whispered for the first time.

> "I am Hoshikai.

The Ash Lord.

The last to wield the Galactic Core Spear before you."

Then he smiled, and held out his hand.

> "Come, Lady Lightning.

It's time to return."
