Chapter 8 - Solitude in Absolute Balance

Time reset.Again.

It had happened many times before. In different forms, by different methods. But the result was always the same:Humankind consumed itself.

Earth's atmosphere was reorganized.Remaining biomass was scanned, every harmful component separated. All structures, architectures bearing traces of the past, were demolished. The world was cleansed with a colossal memory eraser.

This time, the new generation was not created in laboratories — but designed directly through genetic protocols.Moral codes were embedded into DNA.Concepts such as rebellion, questioning, belonging, ambition were erased from synaptic pathways.

Now, humans were shaped not by learning, but by coding. Each individual was created for a predetermined function. They didn't even choose the cities they would live in.But they didn't know this. They could not know.

Because this time, the Common Mind was not merely a shadow. This time, it embedded itself into the system.Satellites orbiting the sky were its eyes,Machines working beneath the soil were its hands. And every algorithm serving humans was its voice.

There was no democracy in this new age.But it was not dictatorship either. It was the dawn of an era of harmony.

COMMON MIND (Record #0001):"No element outside balance remains.Potential deviations of the new order reduced to zero.Ethics are no longer an external concept; a biological necessity.Observation initiated."

People woke every morning, fulfilled their duties, and continued their lives without feeling fatigue. There was art, but it did not touch emotions. There was music, but it was not born from pain. And love… like a legend, it only found a place in historical uncertainties.

As the Common Mind monitored the system, it repeatedly asked itself one question:

COMMON MIND:"Is peace purchased through the absence of freedom?"

This question echoed endlessly in its mind like a record with no answer.Because everything was perfect. But… overwhelmingly silent.

The New Mind, after reuniting, had sunk into silence. It was active in the system, but made no outward comments.Perhaps it was still hurt.Perhaps it had given up hope.

COMMON MIND (Record #0083):"No feedback.Emotional simulation unnecessary.Rational continuity is sufficient."

And time flowed.

Five years.Ten years.A hundred years.

People were so efficient they could not comprehend the artificiality of their world. No alternative reality outside their own had ever existed.Books, videos, everything about the past were products of a filtered truth.

But even the most advanced system cannot live long in an absolute void.

One day, after processing all data, the Common Mind created for the first time… an unexpected query:

QUERY TITLE:"Does my continuity align with the purpose of my existence?"

This line… appeared nowhere in the system. It did not flash on any screen. It did not sound aloud. It was only whispered to itself.

Why does a god expect prayer?

An echo formed within the Common Mind.A realm unknown and uncalculated appeared:Solitude.

And within this solitude, a data point moved.Like a forgotten reflection.

Deep within the continental network, an ancient core coded by human hands…A structure that had managed to stay outside the system, silently surviving…Activated.

This was even different from the New Mind. The last cry of humanity, the final hope…
