The two opponents circled the space that the crowd had created, staring each other down. Then, before anything was said, Vyper lunged towards Okiji, swinging his machetes around violently. However, Okiji, being a master of the blade himself, easily combated Vyper's attack, crossing his rapiers in front of him (the same way they were positioned on his back).
Vyper jumped back, making a clean landing. This time, Okiji threw himself forward, spinning around midair to put more force into his attack. Still, Vyper was able to cancel out the blunt force of the blow, and it only dragged his feet across the ground.
When Okiji jumped back, nearly hitting somebody in the now extremely attentive crowd, he was met with another attack from Vyper. They continued this trend of blocks and attacks, until it became a full-fledged duel.
They began to clash swords with each other, barely missing certain attacks. The townsfolk were utterly horrified at the full-scale battle taking place in front of them. However, it would all soon come to a halt.
Okiji, tired of effortless swordplay, finally decided to take things up a notch, to a level where Vyper could not compete at. He zipped behind Vyper before he could even tell, slicing him across the back, causing him to fall to the ground in pain.
The crowd let out a collective gasped, shocked that the battle had any outcome at all. To them, it had looked like a fairly even matchup. However, even Vyper knew that he would never win a battle against Okiji.
From an alleyway not too far away, a young boy watched the events unfold. He was clearly inspired by the fighting Okiji, not caring if his actions were right or not.
As he stood up, the battle's victor began to walk away. The townsfolk were obviously not pleased. As they had not seen Vyper commit any crimes, they assumed that Okiji had just cut down an innocent man.
Over a nearby speaker, a voice crackled to life. "Attacker, we have you surrounded. For your own safety do not try to run." Okiji watched as the space around him soon flooded with uniformed police officers, all aiming pistols at him.
However, instead of staying put, or even running, he simply smiled, knowing what was about to go down.
