Chapter 1 - Prolog

In the land of Paragon—a world often referred to as a fallen piece of heaven—stands Aetherlyn, a majestic realm with breathtaking landscapes where magic and wonder are not just mere tales but a part of the very breath of life.

This realm is like a living painting: the air that envelops it shimmers softly, carrying a magical aura that captivates anyone who sets foot within it. Aetherlyn is more than just a kingdom; it is a symbol of civilization, prosperity, and the highest power in Paragon.

Currently, the throne is held by King Balderick VII, a charismatic ruler known as the Celestial Lion. He is a figure not only renowned for his wisdom and strength but also for his determination to maintain the world's balance.

However, shadows are never far from the light. On the other side of the world stands Pyrefall—a kingdom that is Aetherlyn's closest rival. This land is a sea of lava and towering volcanoes that rise like ancient gods.

The eruptions in Pyrefall not only shake the ground but also determine fate. Its sky is smudged with soot, its earth is aflame, and destruction is part of its people's lifeblood. Led by King Allesio, a young ruler who ascended to the throne at the age of nineteen, Pyrefall has grown into a military power that is almost impossible to conquer.

Known for his cunning and genius in strategy, Allesio has turned Pyrefall not just into a kingdom but into a war machine that keeps moving. While these two great powers continue to compete, on the island of Chronicle—the third-largest island after Narukami and Vandran in the Veridian Ocean—three kingdoms meet at a point of convergence: Aetherlyn, Pyrefall, and Orelia.

For years, Orelia has acted as a balancer and separator. But now, the lines of peace are beginning to crack. Pyrefall, with full arrogance, has launched a military aggression into the Chronicle territory, seeking to dominate the entire land and eliminate Aetherlyn's influence from the strategic island.

Its goal is clear: to control the main trade routes and expand its power without limits. The news quickly reached King Balderick's ears. Without negotiation—because he knew that for Allesio, diplomacy was just a thin mask over intentions of domination—Aetherlyn moved.

Nine thousand troops were sent to Chronicle, led directly by the king. Alongside the regular forces, Aetherlyn also deployed the Terracotta Division: soldiers made of stone brought to life through ancient magic. Unable to be truly destroyed, the Terracotta soldiers would always return to their form, no matter how badly their bodies were destroyed.

In the battlefield, they are an eternal shield and an unshakable force. Five thousand Terracotta soldiers were sent as the vanguard of Aetherlyn's infantry. However, Pyrefall did not remain idle. They deployed seven thousand Azatot troops—alchemical creatures resulting from long experiments.

Similar to the Terracotta, but with one deadly weakness: their hearts. If destroyed, they would be annihilated forever. As the two giant powers prepared to clash, Orelia chose a wiser path. They signed the Serses Treaty with Aetherlyn—a secret agreement that allowed Aetherlyn to protect Orelia's borders from potential Pyrefall attacks.

In return, Orelia provided logistical supplies and acted as spies watching the enemy's movements from within. This step was not without reason. Orelia knew that if all their troops were deployed and their capital was left empty, King Allesio would not hesitate to launch an attack from another direction.

In a world that constantly turns with strategy and intrigue, caution is the highest form of strength. This impending war marks the third armed conflict between Aetherlyn and Pyrefall. After proxy wars in the dry lands and competition in economic diplomacy, this time... the two great powers will meet again on the real battlefield.

And the world... will be colored again by blood, destruction, and prophecies that are starting to rise from their long slumber.
