Liora followed him back to his quarters.
She didn't knock. Just walked in and shut the door behind her.
"I can feel it," she said.
Kael turned from the window. "Feel what?"
"You. Inside me. Every breath you take, every girl you touch. I feel it like it's mine."
Her voice trembled—not with fear, but anger. Or maybe lust. Or both.
"I didn't ask for this," she said. "But now I'd kill someone if they laid a hand on you."
She stepped closer.
"Do you understand what you've done to me?"
She grabbed him by the shirt. Pushed him against the wall.
And kissed him like a drug she'd sworn off, but couldn't quit.
