Chapter 1 - The Mishap of Fortune (Prologue 1)

In a world full of greed, anger, lust and desires a young man was born. This world was none other than Earth but 200 years into the future.

2225 A.D.

"Samir! Samir! Wake up." A voice rang in Samir's ears.

"Stop it. Are you going to bleed my ears out with your noise? And I'm awake so shut up." Samir had a glint of irritation and yearning for more sleep in his eyes.

"What noise?! Does my voice sound so bad in your lush green eardrums? Whatever... I just wanted to let you know that the work time is over and its time to go home." A man in his thirties standing next to Samir's desk was smiling merrily.

Samir was just an average man in his twenties who worked for a small scale company. He was from a poor family and had to do everything to ensure his and his family's survival. He had no time for a relationship and hence he was still single to this day.

"Yeah, yeah I know." Samir packed his office bag and stood up walking towards the exit door.

The streets were hustling and bustling like always but Samir had a premonition today.

In the morning he woke up late and reached his workplace half an hour late which was a surprise for him because it was his first and since that was the case his supervisor let him off the hook this one time with a warning. Well, not a warning per se but a gentle reminder.

After that for the second time in his life he had dozed off at his workplace and the last time he had done so, it was not a pleasant day for him.

"I really need to leave this superstition of mine behind and focus on my work." Samir was heading off to his home in a casual yet distressed manner.

While crossing the road he saw a flying bike which was flying in a reckless manner and he sighed to himself, "When will I be able to get a new bike, no even a scooter would be fine. For now lets not think about this matter and I should worry about how do I save enough money for a new shirt and pant because the ones that I have are already in a bad shape. Their nano threads are already so damaged that they can't even clean themselves and Ihave to clean them manually. What a life!"

Just as Samir was thinking about his problems and how to solve them he saw that a young little girl had suddenly started falling from the very bike that he had seen earlier.

Samir's mind went blank and he started running towards the girl to catch her.

No other person on the streets was even bothering to take a look at the falling child crying, "Dad... Dad save me!"

Samir was running towards the girl trying to get past the crowd. He took a huge leap and succeeded by a split second in catching the girl.

He desperately covered the child with his arms and went rolling into a metal pipe. Fortunately, he survived the crash. But just as he was wondering to himself, "Why did I try to save this child..."

He saw a broken piece of metal falling over the little girl's head who was in his arms, he quickly tried to dodge but it had been too late. Not for the girl but for Samir. The metal piece stabbed him in his back.

"Aargh...!!!"

Samir was seeing his life slipping away in front of his life. In his last moment he thought to himself, "At least I was able to save the little girl."

Even he didn't know why he had tried to save the girl in the first place. It was not like anyone else was going to blame him for not trying to save her. He could have just stood at one side while walking to his home but he had not.

Alas! He had saved the girl but had also inadvertently died trying to do so.

Samir saw a blinding light in front of him and after it faded he found himself in a new land. He had seen this place for the first time but for some reason he sensed that it was a familiar place.

"Wondering why you seem familiar to this place even though you have come here for the first time." Samir heard a chuckle from behind his back.

He turned to the back and saw a man in simple white shirt and pant and black shoes. He had a very handsome face and was smiling towards Samir.

Samir himself was not bad-looking but actually he could even be considered a little bit handsome but in front of the guy in front of him he was just totally no match.

"Wait! Have I been reincarnated in a new world like those stupid isekai novels?" Samir was not very interested in such entertainment and if he ever was then he just had no time so he had a bad taste for these fantasy sort of things.

"Hold your horses, young man. You have not been isekai'd. You are in 'Narak'." The man in white said calmly.
