Chapter 2 - Lucas Lannister

Lucas Lannister sat on the bed of his luxurious chamber. Outside his window, the rising sun over the Sunset Sea cast a breathtaking glow across the waves.

Lucas was a tall young man, standing well over six feet. With his sharp nose, large eyes, and high cheekbones, he possessed strikingly aristocratic features. His ripped muscles were clear testament to the years of hard work he had devoted to training since childhood. He had the traditional blonde coloured hair of the Lannister family.

Overall, Lucas was extremely handsome and a heartthrob for most of the ladies.

Being born a Lannister, Lucas was deeply aware of his good fortune. He never had to worry about being slaughtered by raiding bandits, freezing in the snow, or starving to death. He could have easily lived a stable, indulgent life without a care in the world.

But Lucas had never taken his privileges for granted. Instead, he worked tirelessly to hone himself. Though none of his gifts or powers had yet manifested, he was already an excellent warrior.

Perhaps not the best in the world, but certainly a fine swordsman. He was naturally talented, and dedicated enough to nurture that talent to an impressive level.

And today was finally the day, his powers would manifest. With another deep breath, Lucas tried to feel the three powers within his body. The moment he attempted it, his entire being felt as if it were being pricked by thousands upon thousands of needles. An endless, unbearable pain assaulted his mind, and his inner organs felt like they were on fire.

The agony did not last long, perhaps only a few brief moments. When it finally subsided, Lucas found himself kneeling on his bed, gasping for breath.

Even so, he had not felt this alive in years. When he looked down at his wrist, he saw a green tattoo that had not been there before. The Mark of the Sky Poison Pearl, now fully integrated into his body.

He could also sense the power of being a Tamer, though he would have to wait to explore that further.

The super soldier serum has had also affected him. He had not changed much physically but Lucas could feel all that strength coursing though his body. Compared to what the power he felt inside, what he had felt previously was pathetic.

But there was still one more thing left to do.

He willed it, and at once his entire body was enveloped in a green glow. He was purifying himself with the power of the Sky Poison Pearl.

The moment it took effect, a wave of pure ecstasy coursed through him. All the toxins and lingering impurities that had accumulated in his body were burned away. He felt instantly invigorated.

Though not much impurity had remained thanks to the super soldier serum, what little there was now vanished completely and he felt even stronger than before. His mind worked faster than ever, sharp as a blade, and he had the distinct feeling that he could shatter a stone wall with a single punch.

Now, was time when he could start playing all his cards. Things, which he had been planning and had started to implement slowly could be unleashed with full throttle.

A knock on the door broke Lucas's line of thought.

"Come in," he called.

The door opened, and a woman stepped inside. Her name was Tillie. She was around twenty-six or twenty-seven years of age and served as Lucas's personal maid. She was around 6 feet tall, with black hair and black eyes. Though she was lean in her appearance, her body was curvaceous and alluring. Many knights would have already forced themselves upon her if not for Lucas' protection.

Tillie had been married off at a very young age, but her husband had died within days of their wedding. After that, she had found employment in the Lannister household. It was there that she caught the eye of Lucas Lannister, who took her on as his personal maid and from that moment, her status rose significantly.

Though still officially a maid, Tillie was one of Lucas's most trusted confidantes. He had taught her to read and write, to manage accounts and oversee certain responsibilities. In many matters, she wielded considerable power on Lucas's behalf.

Meanwhile, Tillie herself was unwaveringly loyal to him, and Lucas knew it well. If he asked her to leap out of a window, she would do it without question, without hesitation.

"Young Master," Tillie said as she approached his bed. "A very warm greeting and congratulations on your ten and eight name days."

"Thank you, Tillie," Lucas responded with a smile.

"Everything is prepared just as you ordered," she continued. "Shall I prepare your bath first, or will you be heading straight to Lannisport?"

"I will take a bath first, Tillie," he said, rising from his bed. Then, with a small smirk, he added, "But do you not think you should have brought a gift for me?"

"I… I do not think there is anything I could possibly give you, young master," she replied, her voice catching with a slight stammer.

She had thought long and hard about whether she should prepare some kind of gift for him, but nothing came to mind. After all, Lucas Lannister lacked for nothing.

"There is one thing you could give me, Tillie," Lucas said, his eyes slowly roaming over her body.

It was impossible for Tillie not to notice the way he looked at her, and a warm blush immediately spread across her cheeks.

"Young master," she mumbled, "what do you mean?"

"You know exactly what I mean," Lucas smiled, his eyes still fixated on her body, "Tillie."

"Young master," Tillie mumbled again.

Lucas meanwhile had covered the distance between them and was standing too close to her; his face almost touching her face. His lips too close to her lips.
