Chapter 1 - 01

As the sun rose over the enchanting Fantasy kingdom of Arkanis, it was just another bustling school day filled with anticipation and unspoken desires. Riana sat in class, her gaze fixed on Valen, the most popular boy at the academy. He possessed an effortless charm and a magnetic presence that drew everyone to him, yet he remained blissfully unaware of Riana's adoration. Valen was often preoccupied with his own challenges, leaving little room for the affections of a girl from a humble magical family — a fact that weighed heavily on Riana's heart.

Her family, burdened by their financial struggles, insisted that Riana pursue Valen, believing him to be her destined soulmate. Though she dutifully obliged, pouring her energy into catching his eye, her efforts were often met with indifference. While her curves and radiant spirit shone brightly, the world had deemed her less than captivating compared to her peers.

According to the prophets Valen was meant to destroy the evil sorcerer named Fredrick. There Riana thought it was her duty to be his love to help him at his worst.

It was a fateful day when Valen found himself in a heated confrontation with Felix, a notorious classmate who had earned the ire of nearly everyone. Riana stood among the throngs of Valen's admirers, her heart racing with a mix of hope and terror. While Felix had his share of admirers — girls enchanted by his brooding good looks — the prevailing sentiment remained: Valen was the true embodiment of manliness at their wizarding school.

As the clash unfolded, Felix unleashed a furious attack, swinging his sword with the intent to dominate. The onlookers held their breath, all too aware that this would not be just any duel. Valen, embodying grace and skill, expertly dodged Felix's strikes, countering with precision. Riana's heart soared as she watched, believing that surely, this would be the moment that connected them at the annual ball.

The swordplay escalated, with tension crackling in the air like static. Riana's excitement turned to horror as Felix lunged for Valen's abdomen. Fear gripped her as she let out a terrified scream, momentarily disrupting the ferocity of the fight. Felix shot her a furious glare, annoyed that she had intruded on his moment of triumph. Her heart sank, but instincts kicked in, and she dashed toward Valen, desperate to heal his wound with her favored spell.

Riana had always demonstrated talent in medicinal magic, a rare gift in their world. There since she loved Valen too much she came to the dual without any fear and casted

" hydra"

Which was her favourite spell. But this act seemed to infuriate Felix further, who had anticipated Valen's downfall by the night of the full moon. The battlefield was already rife with tension, and Riana's interference shattered his hopes like glass.

"Riana... why did you do that?" Valen's voice was laced with concern. Despite his lack of romantic interest, he regarded her fondly as a true ally.

"I can't let you die," she replied, urgency in her tone.

"But you broke the law, girl... no one can use magic during a duel," he admonished, his expression wary.

Riana's cheeks flushed with embarrassment and fear, realizing her mistake too late. Felix's demeanor shifted to a menacing glare, and Riana shivered as dread washed over her.

"I'm so sorry... I'll never do it again," she whimpered, but Felix's rage escalated.

In a shocking act, he slapped her across both cheeks, causing gasps to echo through the crowd. Desperation clawed at Riana. Felix's fury was palpable; she could feel the madness seeping from him.

"YOU IMPUDENT STRUMPET... stay out of this! I dare you to ever step near sword fighting again!"

Helena, known for her fierce loyalty to those in need, stepped forward, eyes blazing. "Felix, you have gone too far!"

Felix dismissed her with a contemptuous sneer. "Oh, come on. This strumpet should learn her place. There's no shortage of men out there."

"FELIX!" Helena's voice thundered.

Riana's heart sank further as she stood frozen, unable to process the turmoil surrounding her. "I can't let him die!" she reiterated weakly.

With callous disregard, Felix sneered at Riana, "You'll have plenty of other men to occupy your time. Just get out of my sight, you worthless girl."

Riana turned to Valen, seeking solace, but found none. He simply stared at her, devoid of any gratitude for her efforts. "Yes, Riana, go away. Always causing trouble. Don't confuse things; you're just my annoying friend, nothing more."

At that moment, Riana felt the world around her collapse. She fled, tears streaming down her cheeks, leaving confusion and disbelief in her wake. Felix, for all his bravado, was perplexed by Valen's harshness. The weight of betrayal lingered heavily in the air.

As the duel concluded with no clear victor, the crowd dispersed, disappointment hanging in the air. Everyone turned on Felix, their collective disdain fueling an unspoken alliance against him, while Riana's struggles went unnoticed.

In the shadows, Zephyr approached Valen, wrapping him in a comforting embrace. Meanwhile, Helena glared at Valen, disappointment etched on her face. She knew the bond prophesized for Riana might have been shattered by Valen's callousness

Helena and Zephyr both let out deep, weighed-down sighs, their hearts heavy with an unexpected twinge of compassion. Despite their lingering resentment towards Riana, an undercurrent of empathy stirred within them, revealing the complexity of their feelings. They exchanged glances, the shared understanding that even those they didn't particularly like could evoke a sense of sorrow in their hearts.

"Let's put her out of our minds for now. Our priority is to uncover the secrets of the hidden Chamber, where all of Frederick's plans lie waiting to be revealed."

" She isn't wench. She is just obsessed with you as always" Zephyr defended her.

" Why would she do that? I don't like her at all. Plus I don't need a girl to save me"

" That's enough Valen. She isn't bad. Anyway she saved you by a mistake"

Helena defended Riana. Valen smirked nonchalantly. Girls were crazy over him. He had plenty of hopes to defeat Fredrick. Everyone thought he would destroy him. Even Fredrick himself, as his prophets, said such. That was their destiny.

" If she wasn't there I would partially destroy Fredrick"

" I don't know so. You're underestimating him. Many people jeopardized by him."

They discussed their missions, but no progress wasn't evident yet. It would take some time. They are still in the below of Fredrick's maneuvering.

Arkanis was a fantasy kingdom ruled by kings and sorcerers. There were unbelievable animals who had coconut heads and stone eyes. They were as pure as the inside of the coconut. Their legs were like coconut barbs of many leaves. They have hands like eels. They were born from magical coconut trees. Cocorosia was their name. They lived in the dark forest. Ordinary people couldn't go there. It was the powerhouse of Fredrick which nobody knew.

Yet Felix was always there to meet Fredrick because Fredrick was his uncle. He didn't like him but he couldn't let him use his fellow werewolves. Alpha must protect his pack. Felix sighed as he couldn't kill Valen as Fredrick ordered him to do so.

Fredrick lived in his Moreno Mansion, though it was located in a dark forest. He was a bachelor who got many harems. Those harems can never be pregnant because of his abortion spell. They would do anything for him as they were entrapped by his black magic. If Fredrick found any beautiful girl from anywhere that girl would be his harem. When Fredrick lost interest in them, he would give those girls to pirates, hunchbacks, Vampires, and Omega werewolves who are loyal to him.

When Felix entered his mansion, Fredrick was touching the thighs of his new harem. She wasn't that pretty according to Felix. He has no interest in love as he always endured the heat of the bachelor of Alpha.

Fredrick got enough six-packs as a warrior. Many women secretly like him, though he would do all the harm for them. He has hair long to shoulder and a long beard. He was holding his long wand. By now that harem was on his thigh. Fredrick was about to remove the hook of her bra, but he was stopped by Felix's frowning.

" I couldn't kill him," Felix said bluntly

" I knew it. I will kill him anyway. What made you stop?"

"His girlfriend"

" Oh... How romantic. Is she pretty? "

" Not at all. That was none of my business"

Felix was sad and angry. He didn't know why he wanted to protect Riana from Fredrick. Maybe it's because she's just sixteen years old, just like him. But she's just a carefree girl. It wasn't that much concern. After all, fat girls aren't their beauty standards and are even poor. But for Fredrick, poor girls don't matter. He would sleep with anyone.

"Come on, Felix tell me about her figure"

The girl in Fredrick's lap made no comment. She was just having some sexual pleasure. Felix felt disgusted to see a half-naked girl in his heat time.

"She is fat."

Fredrick's interest faded like the last rays of sunlight slipping beneath the horizon. The truth was, he had never been attracted to fuller figures, and the realization weighed heavily on him. Felix sensed the tension; he could feel the unsettling energy in the room, a palpable chill that crept up his spine. All he wanted was to escape, to put distance between himself and the uncomfortable scene unfolding before him.

The girl perched on Fredrick's lap seemed oblivious to his disinterest. Fredrick's hand lingered too long, their laughter mingling with the heavy air, as he curiously explored her curves. In response, Felix instinctively pressed his thighs together, a reflexive gesture that spoke volumes about his discomfort. He felt trapped, suffocated by the atmosphere that hummed with too much intimacy and not enough respect.

"Felix you have to give me the wand of Randle"

Felix stood frozen, his mind reeling in disbelief. Randle, the esteemed first teacher of the school, had just crossed an unimaginable line. How could he possibly do something so reckless? Though he was the bad guy he never wanted go against Fredrick

" That's an order. Surely, Valen is my opponent. We have to destroy him"

"Ok, master"

"Bring me some intriguing and spirited women. I aspire to nurture a vibrant brood of ten children, each one a testament to my legacy and a continuation of my name."

" I beg your pardon?"

" I was just kidding. Anyway I have many girls to bear my kids"

Felix offered a deep bow before stepping outside, a shiver racing down his spine. The very thought of it was unsettling, gnawing at his mind like a persistent shadow. He shook his head, trying to dispel the images that haunted him. The idea of being tied to such a twisted soul was grotesque. Despite his own obligations—facing the daunting prospect of having five children with an unknown Luna—the mere thought of siring ten offspring with someone so deeply deranged sent icy tendrils of dread curling around his heart. Such a lineage, born from madness, could plunge the world into chaos, turning it into a living hell.

Meanwhile, Valen decides to use Felix as bait though it isn't easy. He didn't even worry about Riana. Helena was still mad at him for that but didn't utter anything of Riana's plight. These days even she couldn't console there are many things to do. Like fighting with many evil creatures and wizards to protect Arkanis.

" We must spy on Felix" Valen recommends to them.

" It's not so easy. Don't forget that he has a pack" Zephyr said in a disagreement

" What? Do you believe that lie Zephyr? He is just a loser. He couldn't even defeat me in the duel" Valen said while chuckling

Helena's fingers curled into tight fists, her knuckles turning white with frustration. Valen, oblivious to her turmoil, remained engrossed in his own world. His demeanor was as unyielding as stone, a reflection of the pride that came from being a member of the illustrious Wingfield Family, the most affluent sorcerers in the realm. He walked with an air of entitlement, always seeking acknowledgment for his achievements while remaining blind to the contributions of those around him. The weight of his arrogance hung in the air, an invisible barrier between him and his fellow sorcerers, who labored tirelessly in his shadow.

"I am not lying Valen. They're dangerous. You know how your parents died. We can't make the same mistake" Zephyr counter argued.

Valen smirked at him nonchalantly. Helena looked at Zephyr. So do him. All of them had main character syndrome. They wanted centre attention as people already gave them since birth.

Meanwhile, Riana was in her room crying for few hours. While crying she talked to herself as she always did. It was her resolution.

" What did I do wrong? This isn't right...why none understand me? One thing is sure...Valen doesn't like me.."

Riana burst into tears with sobs no one came to wipe her tears. Felix heard her sobs. He wanted to apologize from her.He felt little guilt because he never wanted to hurt innocent people no matter how cold he is.

Without knocking he opened the door and silently observed her without clearing his throat.

" what did I do wrong to him? I tried my best to help him. But he didn't even care. How can I face my family? They will tell me you're a disgrace. "

Felix cleared his throat Riana wiped her tears from her frock. She frowned at him. Felix smiled at her finding it was cute but only for few seconds before she even noticed that.

" Why are you here? Just leave me alone"

" Calm down princess.I came here to apologize"

" I would never forgive you for that...everyone will think that I am a slut. I am not a princess"

" Princess would always cry and waiting for her man"

Riana glared at him. Felix chuckled at her nonchalantly. She raised her hand and hit on to the wall instead of hitting him. Her hand got blead. Felix didn't expect that

" oh...princess..protect your delicate skin"

" leave me alone"

"I will darling. But not troubles"

" Don't call me like that... you better call me a bitch"

" Princess let me tell you one thing. I don't need your apology but don't be obsessed with that dunderhead. He would break your heart into pieces. I may don't know about love but I can sense if there's an attachment. He isn't your one"

" I love Valen no matter what. He is not evil like you"

" Ok. You can destroy yourself. That wasn't an oder but a suggestion. If you love him that much why don't you kill Fredrick?. Everything will be fine then"

Riana looked at him with surprise. Felix knew she can't do such things though she loved Valen. She hit on the wall again. Felix made her cry more.

" oh..Princess I was just kidding. Valen will marry Princess Christina"

" NO WAY" Riana yelled. She never hated Felix before. But now they are enemies. It broke her heart permanently. First the rejection of Valen now her jealousy. But she realized Felix is just kidding because Princcss Christina is his girlfriend.

" That's the truth honey. You'll be a spinister forever. You little slut"

" I am not a slut"

Riana yelled again. Felix found it was entertaining to make her mad. But he didn't realise he is getting closer to her which means he is taking risks that he never did.

" Then prove it" Felix said with sarcasm.

" Everyone knows that"

" But men know girls would be like that. You're doing everything what sluts do."

" I never slept with anyone"

" really? You look like you're pregnant by Valen"

Felix didn't lie at some points.

Riana was mad. She was never mad like this before. She raise her hand to slap on his face. But she was known for the bubbly sweet girl which made her stopping from that.

" You know what girl, people would get mad in front of truth"

" What do you want, Felix? "

" Revenge from your lover who made you pregnant"

" I would never let you... plus even if I am a slut why would you care?"

" I never cared about you"

Felix went out with grim chuckle. Just then Valen and others found him. Then they followed his foot steps. Felix didn't even feel that. He never thought Valen would walk behind his back. If he knew that things would get easier.

They followed Felix who walks through the forbidden forest. Not a single student in the school couldn't enter this.

" See, he is breaking laws" Valen said gleefully

" Like you aren't" Helena said nonchalantly

" Blame on Riana. She is the one who broke the law"

" Come on Valen. You always blame her. She did nothing wrong"

Zephyr said after getting fed up from Valen's critique on others.

" I will never marry her" Valen said with complete annoyance.

Helena and Zephyr was bewildered to hear that. They never thought he would say such. Though, Riana is a dumb girl everyone knew she had a oath in her prophecy to marry Valen and help him.

" That's so rude. Her family would torment her"

Helena said with complete denial. Valen just chuckled. He was always annoyed by Riana and her innocent flirts. On the other hand, he doesn't want good girls. He wanted bad girls like Princess Christina

" Who cares? She shouldn't have nag me"

" It's your destiny according to the prophecy, Valen "Zephyr said with concerning tone.

" Oh ...please don't preach. I won't marry her. She is useless foolish girl"

Felix was stormed out when they were talking. Valen got pissed. He blamed Riana again. Others wanted to accuse him but he was too admant to listen.

Meanwhile, Riana went out. She couldn't bear up that much of shame. She knew the danger of the accusation made by Felix. Not once but twice. "Strumpet" was the word she can never be. She wanted to scream but who cares? Riana felt Valen would reject her. It would burn her alive. More than family's pressure the heartbreak she would face would unbearable.

When she was walking like that she found a dragon who is burning people alive. She ran to them and immediately removed the chains of them by casting a spell

" Al caida"

The people didn't know it was her as they ran away. Then only she looked at the dragon. It was horrifying. But she removed it's chain which was tied to a heavy stone and ran away.

Dragon's magical bond was over. It was no longer manipulated by Valen and it's a free bird now. Then only she realised she has entered the forbidden forest...

She hid under bush. If someone got to know this she would be in a big trouble. Especially Felix found her he would ruthlessly ruin her. She was still shivering by fear and nervousness. It's the first challenging encounter she faced as a wizard.
